I collected the first Star Wars trilogy on VHS for several reasons, the main one being my deep connection to this galactic saga that has marked entire generations around the world.
Since I was a child, I was fascinated by the story of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader and the rest of the iconic characters that make up this universe created by George Lucas. The epic battle between light and darkness, the struggle for freedom and the redemption of complex characters like Vader, impacted me in a way that no other story had ever done before.
My mother in 1977 took me to the movies at approximately 11:30 a.m. to see Episode IV: A New Hope and we managed to get into the theater at 7 p.m.
Also, the fact that the original trilogy was released on VHS takes me back to a nostalgic time when access to movies was not as easy as it is now. I fondly remember the evenings when I would sit in front of the TV with my family to enjoy these movies over and over again, marveling each time at the special effects and captivating plot.
Collecting the trilogy on VHS also allows me to appreciate the evolution of film technology over the years. Seeing the films in their original format makes me appreciate the careful and detailed work that went into bringing Lucas' vision to life, and makes me appreciate the effort and creativity of the entire team behind the production.
Having the first Star Wars trilogy on VHS is not only a way to pay homage to an important part of my childhood and love of cinema, but also a way to preserve and appreciate a masterpiece of the seventh art that has impacted millions of people around the world.
The best Star Wars trilogy in my opinion is this original trilogy, consisting of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. These films are considered classics of science fiction cinema and are adored by fans of all ages.
The plot is solid, the characters are charismatic and well-developed, and George Lucas' direction is impeccable. These films feature some of the most iconic scenes of the saga, such as the Battle of Hoth, the duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, and the destruction of the Death Star.
Continuing with the Star Wars theme, over the years all the trilogies have been released and I couldn't not have them, which is why my Star Wars DVD collection is one of my most prized possessions. As a fan of the saga, I have always enjoyed having all the movies at my disposal to relive again and again the exciting adventures of jedi, siths, and rebels.
However, not all Star Wars trilogies are equally successful. In my opinion, the worst trilogy of the saga is the third trilogy. When it was announced that a new Star Wars trilogy was going to be made, I was excited to see how they would continue the story of the saga. However, upon watching the films of this third trilogy, I was a bit disappointed. While I enjoyed some aspects, such as the special effects and the new additions to the cast, I felt that the plot was not as impactful as the previous trilogies.
One of the aspects I liked least about this third trilogy was the lack of cohesion in the story. I felt that the films strayed a bit from the original Star Wars spirit and focused more on visual spectacle than character and plot development. Also, some of the plot twists felt a bit forced to me and failed to grab my attention in the same way as the previous trilogies.
Another aspect that disappointed me was the way certain iconic characters from the saga were approached. While I enjoyed seeing Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo back on screen, I felt that they were not given the development they deserved and were not allowed to shine as they did in the original films.
Daisy Ridley's performance in the Star Wars saga has been a topic of controversy since her debut in The Force Awakens movie. Some say her portrayal of Rey as fresh and exciting, while others find her bland and unconvincing. In my opinion, Ridley's performance in Star Wars has been mostly positive, with a few exceptions.
Ridley was a relatively unknown actress at the time. However, her portrayal of Rey as a brave and determined heroine struggling to find her place in the galaxy was one of the highlights of the films. Ridley manages to convey her character's vulnerability and strength convincingly, making her a memorable and charismatic protagonist.
The chemistry between Ridley and her co-stars, especially with John Boyega and Adam Driver, is palpable on screen and contributes greatly to the films success.But, there are times when Ridley's performance is forced or unnatural. Some dramatic scenes didn't have the expected emotional impact, leading to his performance being perceived as flat or lacking depth, but acting in a blockbuster like Star Wars comes with enormous pressure and expectations, so it's understandable that there can be challenges when playing such an iconic character.
Although the third Star Wars trilogy was not the one I liked the most, it is still an important part of my DVD collection and my passion for this galactic saga.
The prequel trilogy, consisting of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith have memorable moments and are full of action and impressive special effects, but the plot and character development leave much to be desired. The acting of some of the main characters such as Anakin Skywalker (played by Hayden Christensen) is quite disappointing as it conveys neither emotion nor depth, plus the overall story lacks the same charm and originality of the original trilogy. Jake Lloyd as the young Anakin Skywalker in The Phantom Menace is unconvincing and fails to convey the charisma necessary for the character, which has led to his performance being considered one of the worst in the history of the saga.
If I were to talk about the best performances in Star Wars, I would have to say there are many, but Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker manages to masterfully capture the evolution of his character from an idealistic young farm boy to a powerful Jedi fighting the dark side of the Force. His performances in A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are impeccable and have been praised by fans and critics alike.
Another notable performance in the saga is that of Harrison Ford as Han Solo. Ford brought charisma and sarcasm to the smuggler character. His chemistry with Carrie Fisher, who plays Princess Leia, is palpable on screen and adds an additional layer of depth to his performance. Ford especially shines in A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, where his portrayal of Han Solo is memorable.

I must confess that the character of Darth Vader has always attracted me as he has been the best villain of all nine movies, since his first appearance in the original trilogy, this iconic character became one of the most emblematic of the saga. His imposing presence, his intimidating mask and his characteristic breathing make him an imposing and terrifying being.
One of the aspects that influences Darth Vader's appeal to viewers is his tragic origin. Anakin Skywalker, the promising young man who becomes the Sith Lord, is a character tormented by his own decisions and inner conflicts. The struggle between good and evil is evident in him, and his fall to the dark side is fueled by his own weaknesses and fears. This complexity in his personality makes it possible for viewers to empathize with him, despite his ruthless actions.
His imposing presence makes him come across as a charismatic and engaging villain. His ability to instill fear and respect at the same time makes him stand out among the other characters in the saga. His deep voice and penetrating gaze contribute to the creation of an imposing and powerful figure, which leaves an indelible mark in the memory of the viewers.
On the other hand, Darth Vader's redemption in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi adds an additional layer of complexity to his character. His ultimate sacrifice to save his son and redeem himself from his sins adds an emotional dimension to his story. This act of redemption shows that, despite his mistakes and evil, Darth Vader still retained a spark of humanity within him.
Collecting Star Wars films is much more than accumulating material objects. It is a way to celebrate the magic of cinema and the power of storytelling to inspire us, excite us and give us hope in a world full of challenges. Each film in the saga is a treasure that I treasure fondly, and one that I will continue to collect and enjoy for many years to come - may the force be with me always in this passion for Star Wars!

Desde que era niño, quedé fascinado por la historia de Luke Skywalker, La princesa Leia, Darth Vader y el resto de personajes icónicos que conforman este universo creado por George Lucas. La épica batalla entre la luz y la oscuridad, la lucha por la libertad y la redención de personajes complejos como Vader, me impactaron de una manera que ninguna otra historia lo había hecho antes.
Mi madre en 1977 me llevo al cine aproximadamente a 11:30 a.m a ver el episodio IV: Una Nueva Esperanza y logramos entrar al cine a las 7 p.m.
Además, el hecho de que la trilogía original fuera lanzada en VHS me transporta a una época nostálgica en la que el acceso a las películas no era tan sencillo como ahora. Recuerdo con cariño las tardes en las que me sentaba frente al televisor con mi familia para disfrutar de estas películas una y otra vez, maravillándome cada vez con los efectos especiales y la trama cautivadora.
Coleccionar la trilogía en VHS también me permite apreciar la evolución de la tecnología cinematográfica a lo largo de los años. Ver las películas en su formato original me hace valorar el trabajo cuidadoso y detallado que se realizó para llevar a la vida la visión de Lucas, y me hace apreciar el esfuerzo y la creatividad de todo el equipo detrás de la producción.
Tener la primera trilogía de Star Wars en VHS no solo es una forma de homenajear una parte importante de mi infancia y de mi amor por el cine, sino también una manera de preservar y valorar una obra maestra del séptimo arte que ha impactado a millones de personas en todo el mundo.
La mejor trilogía de Star Wars en mi opinión es esta trilogía original, compuesta por Una Nueva Esperanza, El Imperio Contraataca y El Retorno del Jedi. Estas películas son consideradas clásicos del cine de ciencia ficción y son adoradas por fans de todas las edades.
La trama es sólida, los personajes son carismáticos y están bien desarrollados, y la dirección de George Lucas es impecable. Estas películas cuentan con algunas de las escenas más icónicas de la saga, como la batalla de Hoth, el duelo entre Luke Skywalker y Darth Vader, y la destrucción de la Estrella de la Muerte.
Siguiendo con el tema de Star Wars, a lo largo de los años se han ido editando todas las trilogias y no podria dejar de tenerlas, por ello mi colección de Star Wars en DVD es una de mis posesiones más preciadas. Como fanático de la saga, siempre he disfrutado de tener a mi disposición todas las películas para poder revivir una y otra vez las emocionantes aventuras de jedis, siths, y rebeldes.
Sin embargo, no todas las trilogías de Star Wars son igual de exitosas. En mi opinión, la peor trilogía de la saga es la tercera trilogía. Cuando se anunció que se iba a hacer una nueva trilogía de Star Wars, estaba emocionado por ver cómo continuarían la historia de la saga. Sin embargo, al ver las películas de esta tercera trilogía, me quedé un poco decepcionado. Aunque disfruté de algunos aspectos, como los efectos especiales y las nuevas incorporaciones al elenco, sentí que la trama no fue tan impactante como las trilogías anteriores.
Uno de los aspectos que menos me gustó de esta tercera trilogía fue la falta de cohesión en la historia. Sentí que las películas se alejaron un poco del espíritu original de Star Wars y se enfocaron más en el espectáculo visual que en el desarrollo de los personajes y la trama. Además, algunos de los giros argumentales me resultaron un poco forzados y no lograron captar mi atención de la misma manera que las trilogías anteriores.

La trilogía de precuelas, compuesta por La Amenaza Fantasma, El Ataque de los Clones y La Venganza de los Sith tienen momentos memorables y están llenas de acción y efectos especiales impresionantes, pero la trama y el desarrollo de los personajes dejan mucho que desear. La actuación de algunos personajes principales como Anakin Skywalker (interpretado por Hayden Christensen) es bastante decepcionante al no transmitir ni emocion ni profundidad, ademas la historia en general carece del mismo encanto y originalidad de la trilogía original. Jake Lloyd como el joven Anakin Skywalker en La Amenaza Fantasma es poco convincente y no logra transmitir el carisma necesario para el personaje, lo que ha llevado a que su interpretación sea considerada una de las peores en la historia de la saga.
Si hablase de las mejores actuaciones en Star Wars, debo decir que hay muchas, pero Mark Hamill como Luke Skywalker logra capturar de manera magistral la evolución de su personaje, desde un joven granjero idealista hasta un poderoso Jedi que lucha contra el lado oscuro de la Fuerza. Anakin Skywalker, el joven prometedor que se convierte en el Lord Sith, es un personaje atormentado por sus propias decisiones y conflictos internos. La lucha entre el bien y el mal es evidente en él, y su caída al lado oscuro se nutre de sus propias debilidades y miedos. Esta complejidad en su personalidad hace que los espectadores puedan sentir empatía por él, a pesar de sus acciones despiadadas.

Muy de acuerdo contigo amigo, tienes unas reliquias del 7mo arte; yo vi todas las películas y no soy fan de Star Wars, pero como bien dices, nunca pudieron superar la trilogía original; recuerdo cuando las vi en VHS y luego en TV, siempre quedaba pegado a la pantalla viéndolas. Además los videojuegos de Star Wars son increíbles, especialmente los de las consolas de nueva generación.

Hay mucha mercancía de Star Wars, incluso hay muy buenas series de tv basadas en eses universo y una muy buena película considerada una precuela llamada Rogue One. He de reconocer que muchas de las ideas de Star Wars vienen de una pelicula japonesa de Akira Kurosawa llamada La fortaleza Escondida y de los libros de Dune escritos por Frank Herbert.
No puedo decir que sea una obra original, pero la primera trilogía, esta muy bien planteada y ademas hizo que muchos, se aficionaran a las peliculas de ciencia ficción y aventuras. En cuanto a los juegos algunos son alucinantes y con tramas mejores que las ultimas películas.
