Hello superhero fans. Today I want to talk to you about the official sequel to our "friendly neighbor", Marvel Studios' Spider-Man. Being this the last installment of the "Infinity Saga", this movie is also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Produced by Marvel Studios together with Columbia Pictures, this second installment of the spider hero was distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The cast is made up of actors such as Tom Holland, who participates as the main character, along with the collaboration of Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, John Favreau, etc. From here on, I can't guarantee you to continue with the sequence of movies that the red superhero giant has released since then until now due to the fact that I haven't seen all the releases of the next saga as I did with the previous ones; so I can only assure you to bring you a couple of more movies to give you an end to this and another great trilogy. Siendo esta la última entrega de la “Saga del Infinito”, esta película también forma parte del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel. Producida por Marvel Studios junto con Columbia Pictures, esta segunda entrega del héroe arácnido fue distribuida por Sony Pictures Entertainment. Plot

Several months after the events of "Avengers: Endgame" our heroic protagonist, Peter Parker returns home after having disappeared for 5 years along with half of the entire universe because of the titan Thanos. Joining a new academic year along with his usual classmates and some new ones, Peter decides to take a well-deserved vacation and goes on a field trip with his school to Europe for the summer season. However, his plans are interrupted by a call from Nick Fury, who wants him for an important mission. Parker ignores him, frustrated by all the burden and responsibility of being a hero after the departure of Tony Stark (Iron Man), who is now a national hero. So he decides not to accept any mission and to spend some time off with his friends, companions and his beloved M.J.

But his obligation to save the world once again does not leave him alone and a Water Elemental appears in Venice, which leads Peter to fulfill his mission and save his friends and classmates. A guy with a strange suit and a spherical helmet appears to take down the Elemental, which he manages to do along with the help of Spider-Man. This mysterious guy who can fly and use powers calls himself Quentin Beck and says he came from a parallel universe where the earth has been destroyed by the Elemental. It is here where our protagonist agrees to participate in the mission that Nick mentioned to him, in addition to receiving a pair of glasses that Tony left him as a gift with an Artificial Intelligence that allows him to have access to all the technology of Stark Industries, as a sign that he hopes to be his successor, a responsibility too big for our young hero.

Varios meses después de los sucesos de “Avengers: Endgame” nuestro heroico protagonista, Peter Parker regresa a casa luego de haber desaparecido por 5 años junto con la mitad del universo entero a causa del titán Thanos. Incorporándose en un nuevo año académico junto con sus compañeros de clase de siempre y algunos nuevos, Peter decide tomarse unas merecidas vacaciones y se va de excursión junto con su escuela a Europa por la época de verano. Sin embargo, sus planes son interrumpidos por una llamada de Nick Fury, quien lo busca para una misión importante. Parker lo ignora, frustrado por toda la carga y responsabilidad de ser héroe, luego de la partida de Tony Stark (Iron Man), quien ahora es un héroe nacional. That's why the subject matter of this Spider-Man sequel has a much greater value than many have noticed above. After everything that happened in the previous movies, let's note that Peter Parker is still just a teenager who has lived through a lot and has lost a great man, a great mentor and father that he never had. Added to this, there is also the fact that he is still a hero, one who has to fulfill a role that compares him to that of Tony Stark in his time. All this leads him to take the decision to get away from his responsibilities and take a vacation, trying to live a normal life, like that of an ordinary teenager, which does not happen when he sees that his responsibilities haunt him and he has no choice but to assume them and fulfill his job as a hero. This development we see from our protagonist may at first seem very childish and immature, (which is understandable to see everything that has happened and lived), but at the end we notice a huge change, getting closer to the iconic superhero that we love.

Peter Parker proves to be an incredulous and inexperienced Spider-Man by being influenced by supposed heroes like Quentin Beck (which I won't say more about him to avoid giving you Spoilers if you haven't seen the movie yet). Once again we can notice his immaturity and foolishness by handing over the great legacy he has received from Tony Stark to an unknown, believing that this was what he wanted from the beginning but resulting for me in another sign of his desire to escape from being a cup or substitute for Tony Stark. Then there's the Elementals theme and the mention of parallel universes (which to this day we would see this as a nod to what was to come in later Marvel Studios films). There's also the relationship Peter has with his best friend, with M.J. (who is not Mary Jane, but another M.J.), with Nick Fury and with Happy Hogan. These characters stand out very well, with comedic moments that entertain you quite a bit.

Luego de todo lo ocurrido en las anteriores películas, notemos que Peter Parker sigue siendo apenas un adolescente que ha vivido muchas cosas y que ha perdido a un gran hombre, un gran mentor y padre que nunca tuvo. Sumado a esto, también está el hecho de seguir siendo un héroe, uno que tiene que cumplir con un rol que se le compara con el que realizó Tony Stark en su momento. Todo esto lo lleva a tomar la decisión de alejarse de sus responsabilidades y tomarse unas vacaciones, intentando vivir una vida normal, como la de un adolescente común y corriente, lo cual no sucede al ver que sus responsabilidades le persiguen y no tiene de otra que asumirlas y cumplir con su trabajo de héroe. Este desarrollo que vemos de nuestro protagonista puede que al principio nos resulte muy infantil e inmaduro, (lo cual es comprensible al ver todo lo que ha pasado y vivido), pero al finalizar notamos un cambio enorme, consiguiendo acercarse más al icónico superhéroe que nosotros amamos.

Peter Parker demuestra ser un Spider-Man incrédulo y con poca experiencia al dejarse influenciar por supuestos héroes como lo es Quentin Beck (el cual no diré más nada de él para no darles Spoilers si aún no se vieron la película). Una vez más podemos notar su inmadurez e insensatez entregando el gran legado que ha recibido por parte de Tony Stark a un desconocido, creyendo que era eso lo que este quería desde el principio pero resultando para mí una muestra más de su deseo de escapar de ser una copa o sustituto de Tony Stark. Luego está el tema de los Elementales y la mención de los universos paralelos (lo cual al día de hoy veríamos esto como un guiño de lo que se vendría en posteriores películas de Marvel Studios). También está la relación que tiene Peter con su mejor amigo, con M.J. (que no es Mary Jane, sino otra M.J.), con Nick Fury y con Happy Hogan. Estos personajes se destacan muy bien, con momentos cómicos que te entretienen bastante.

On the other hand, there are the visual effects and CGI, which are insane compared to the first film. And that's because Quentin Beck wasn't the best supervillain Marvel Studios has brought out of Spider-Man, but he was the one that stood out the most both visually and imaginatively. Having a "power" that makes him stand out from the others, which is actually his wit and technology, the special effects that were worked into this film is incredible to behold. Especially in a scene where all reality becomes a journey into the dreams and nightmares of an anguished mind, like Peter Parker's in this case. There's no denying that in terms of visual effects, this film is one of the best I've seen to date. There are also the sound effects and the soundtrack, which are very well made and chosen, with unforgettable moments and battles, really. In short, a sequel that in only a couple of ways is much better than the first installment with a development that may not draw the attention of many to one of the most admired heroes of Marvel Studios.

Personally, I give it an 8.5/10 rating as far as the sci-fi/action/superhero genre is concerned.

Por otro lado, están los efectos visuales y CGI, los cuales son una locura comparados con la primera película. Y es que Quentin Beck no fue el mejor supervillano que Marvel Studios ha sacado de Spider-Man, pero sí el que más ha resaltado tanto visual como imaginariamente. Teniendo un “poder” que lo hace destacarse de los demás, lo cual es en realidad su ingenio y su tecnología, los efectos especiales que se trabajaron en esta cinta es increíble a la vista. Sobre todo en una escena donde toda la realidad se convierte en un viaje a los sueños y pesadillas de una mente angustiada, como la de Peter Parker en este caso. No hay que negar que en cuanto a efectos visuales, esta película es una de las mejores que he visto hasta la fecha. También están los efectos de sonido y la banda sonora, la cual están muy bien hechas y escogidas, con momentos y batallas inolvidables, la verdad. En fin, una secuela que en solo un par de sentidos es mucho mejor que la primera entrega con un desarrollo que puede no llamar la atención de muchos hacia uno de los héroes más admirados de Marvel Studios.

Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de ciencia ficción, acción y superhéroes.
