RE: Can Being Never Born Solve All Problems? ( The Butterfly Effect )

Very little is said about the story they are trying to tell us in this film, either because of the mix of science fiction with psychology or the same amount of explicit scenes and quite strong themes, This film was strongly rejected by most of those who saw it at the time. Personally, now that I remember it, it makes me think about the message they are trying to convey to us with this uncensored and 100% raw story.

A story about a guy who wants to change his past to be happy, but in doing so he sees that the consequences are so serious that it is impossible for him to ignore them. After so many attempts, he decides to make a decision different from all the ones he made at the time, realizing that the result of all the problems was to be eliminated from the equation from a beginning.

There are several conclusions that can be drawn from this, such as the one you describe at the end of your post, but for me there is no better way to describe this than with the famous phrase: "If you love something, let it go". And this can even apply in our daily life, when we see that something or someone is hurting us, we do not hurt them, we decide to move away for the good of both, things end up being resolved, even if it hurts a lot.

In the end, depending on the circumstances, the problem or the person involved, thinking about "ceasing to exist" is, for me, a bit of an exaggeration to think about. When one comes to that conclusion, the most sensible thing is to make the decision that our protagonist in this film made to walk away and take our own path and let destiny find us again.

Despite everything, this film has much more to talk about than it appears, to be honest.
