The Boys (season 4): "Make America Super... Again!" [ES - EN]
Finalizó la cuarta temporada de la serie que considero en la actualidad como la mejor dentro lo que es esta masa de producciones de streaming basadas en comics y es que a pesar de no ser perfecta, “The Boys” creo que en un alto porcentaje, esta serie cumple con ciertas expectativas aunque en mi opinión los showrunners, demostraron inteligencia a informar que la temporada siguiente será la última y creo que justamente eso le quitó presión a una cuarta temporada que no fue para nada mala, pero que pudo ser mejor.
I finish the fourth season of the series that I consider currently as the best in what is this mass of streaming productions based on comics and despite not being perfect, "The Boys" I think that in a high percentage, this series meets certain expectations although in my opinion the showrunners, showed intelligence to report that the next season will be the last and I think that just that took the pressure off a fourth season that was not bad at all, but could have been better.
En esta nueva temporada existen muchos temas a discutir por parte de esta serie, primeramente es sobre el poder de como una excusa puede ocultar horrendos sucesos, todo dependiendo del poder de quien comete esos hechos y este es otro ejemplo más de como esta serie es una excelente sátira de lo que sucede en los Estados Unidos y en otras partes del mundo, pero es imposible no relacionar los comportamientos de los protagonistas y otros personajes de esta serie con lo que políticamente sucede en el país de las barras y las estrellas; con lo antes dicho, al ver esta temporada en los días pasados me hizo pensar que fue una perfecta decisión porque me hizo pensar que esta cuarta temporada fue divertida y terrorífica.

Aunque muchas personas se han quejado de como se escribió las historias de muchos de los personajes, personalmente creo que fue lo adecuado, ya que al final está temporada es un puente para la temporada final; por ejemplo puedo citar que hurgar en el pasado, en el presente, ciertos motivos, en lo que desean para un futuro y en las promesas a cumplir, fue muy acertado porque dio individualidad a los protagonistas y funciona muy bien para la conclusión de la temporada y nos prepara para la siguiente.
De los ocho episodios que conforman la temporada, es cierto que los tres primeros no son los mejores, en eso si estoy de acuerdo con las críticas que he leído, es un comenzar lento aunque necesario para dar introducción a nuevos e importantes personajes; los cinco restantes puedo decir que tiene buenas escenas de acción, buen uso del gore y son muy divertidos episodios, no vi que tenga una carga dramática fuerte, creo que no conecte con ciertos sucesos los cuales estoy convencido de que fue algo prescindible, sin ningún peso en la historia, en especial la del personaje de “Hughie Campbell”, en cambio, la de “Annie January / Starlight”, es algo que espero tenga un mejor desarrollo en la próxima temporada, tiene mucho potencial, así como también la historia de “Ryan”.
Although many people have complained about how the stories of many of the characters were written, personally I think it was the right thing to do, since in the end this season is a bridge to the final season; for example I can cite that delving into the past, the present, certain motives, what they want for a future and promises to fulfill, was very successful because it gave individuality to the protagonists and works very well for the conclusion of the season and prepares us for the next one.
Of the eight episodes that make up the season, it is true that the first three are not the best, in that if I agree with the reviews I've read, it is a slow start but necessary to give introduction to new and important characters; the remaining five I can say that it has good action scenes, good use of gore and are very funny episodes, I did not see that it has a strong dramatic charge, I think it does not connect with certain events which I am convinced that it was something dispensable, without any weight in the story, especially that of the character of "Hughie Campbell", however, that of "Annie January / Starlight", is something that I hope has a better development in the next season, has much potential, as well as the story of "Ryan".
Anteriormente, pude leer una frase dicha por el actor Antony Starr quien interpreta a "Homelander", el cual le preocupa que exista personas que crean ciegamente o apoyen incondicionalmente en lo que es ese personaje y eso me hace pensar en que hace un buen trabajo representando a un vil personaje, un atormentado ser muy consciente de su poder y su gran necesidad de usarlo para obtener una equivocada aceptación y sí, es preocupante que exista personas que apoyen dicho personaje, que no estén conscientes de que es una expresión de la ficción dentro de la sátira que es la serie, pero repito, la gran actuación de Starr es lo mejor de la temporada y creo que la preocupación del actor será mayor con en la conclusión de la serie.

Desde hace tiempo decidí ver los anteriores episodios antes del final de temporada y creo que fue una gran decisión porque a pesar de lo cierto de un comienzo algo lento o poco convincente, los demás episodios tienen un mejor ritmo y son muy buenos, pero estoy convencido de que la situación política en los Estados Unidos y lo referente al atentando que sufrió uno de sus candidatos, junto a las posteriores reacciones hizo que la historia de la cuarta temporada de The Boys sea mucho mejor; llegó un momento en donde terminaba de ver un episodio e iba a ver alguna red social para reír y a la vez sentir algo de preocupación y justamente creo que en esta temporada algunos fans de la serie descubrieron que son parte de la sátira y por eso no les ha gustado; en lo personal reconozco que no es perfecta, pudo ser mejor, pero creo que hay elementos necesarios que podrán ser desarrollados en la segunda temporada del spin-off, me refiero a “GEN-V” y lo cual nos prepara para lo que todos esperan que sea el gran final.

Los primeros episodios de esta temporada no me impresionaron, sentí estancamiento en la historia. menos mal que luego los episodios agarran mas ritmo y se avanza acomodando las piezas para lo que será el final.
Afortunadamente la próxima será la final, es mejor que la terminen y sigan con el spin off Gen V y se inventen otros spin off también. me alegro ver en la escena post crédito que traerán ese gran personaje de la tercera temporada de vuelta. Espero que hagan una ultima temporada genial.

Después de ver el episodio de final de temporada, sentí que posiblemente la temporada final tendría todo muy apresurado y después recordé que seguramente en GEN-V, tenga mucha importancia en ciertas cosas para el cierre de The Boys. Muchas expectativas y espero que cierren de la mejor manera.

La verdad que como sátira a lo que es estados unidos y los super héroes esta serie funcionó muy bien, las referencias a cosas que ocurrieron como la toma del capitolio el 6 de enero del 21 con el atentado al presidente por el cambia forma esa fecha, o el reciente atentado a Trump le dieron esa fuerza a la serie que para mí carecía, que al principio se centraba en el daño colateral. Para mí el gore fue excesivo está temporada, pero lo del Gen V estuvo bueno.
No tengo ninguna duda que la temporada se favoreció por la campaña presidencial de los Estados Unidos, no hay casualidad y me hace pensar que el año de pausa entre ests temporada y el final, será para poder usar algun que otro tema aunque creo que las referencias a la realidad no serán tan relevantes y se usará más lo que sucede en los comics.
GEN-V debe tener más protagonismo y tengo algo de expectativas sobre eso, no sé si será visto como un "The Boys 4.1", un verdadero puente al final de la serie.
