Ad Film shooting at my home
Last week some guys approached me asking that they would like to do an Ad film shooting and for that they need my home balcony as that seemed to be an apt location for their shooting. The shooting was for Cadbury's chocolates. At first I was hesitant because I know that these create a lot of nuisance when they do the shooting. But then the guy requested me couple of times so with some rules and regulations I gave them a go ahead, and I strictly gave them an area to use and beyond that not to get into our personal space, which they agreed to.
They had requested me for 2 days use, where one day was to do the preps and the 2nd day for the actual shoot. 1 day before the shooting they came to my home and starting making their arrangements. They wanted the space to look very flowery so they had bought lots of flower pots, which I felt was good. Since I do not stay here permanently in this home I do not have many flower pots, I have a couple of them only which are taken care by one of our care takers.
There were some benefits of renting them the space, they painted my balcony fresh and the doors also, so now it all looks brand new again, and they did also give me some cash for renting, it was all win-win for me. After all the Ad was for a big company so they have to do it all very professionally. The person who was coordinating between the Director and me is one of my Son's friend so with that I could trust, as he had taken full responsibility of everything from start to end.
On the day of the Ad shooting there were lot of people, but not all of them came to my home, only the few who were important and the girl who was modelling the Ad, the rest of them were all below my building. The whole set up was done there, and from down the shoot was happening,
There were lot of equipment's and most of them were kept outside my home, as necessary they would bring it in and then again put it back outside. While they were shooting, I also clicked some of their pictures....haha.
The person explained to me how some of these equipment's are used. Interesting to know all of this and quite fascinating also.
They have started setting up at the balcony. It's a small balcony, ideally very difficult for a shoot but they managed it.
They were so many of them at the job.
The set up below the building
To give it a thought, for a 15 seconds advertisement that we see as the final outcome on the T.V, there is so many days of efforts, planning and action that goes in to it.
The model was a 22 year old girl and this was her first shoot, she was nervous and at the same time I found her very confident. I had a good 2 days interacting with so many of these people. All of them were nice and honestly they did not create any nuisance for me, they were cordial and maintained the decorum of my space. It all went very well.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Wow
So it takes two days for a 15 seconds shoot. I never thought it was that stressful to do, maybe it’s because I’ve been procrastinating on starting a YouTube channel soon but haven’t done so due to how I’ve heard videos making and editing is very stressful. Now I know what they were talking about.
Good to see they didn’t give you any trouble and you still got your share with a new paint too. Have a great day ahead😊
Editing takes a long time for sure and needs good skills also.
Aww
This is really nice. They must have learnt that your home looks very good for them to want to use your house
My father works in Cadbury Nigeria Plc though
It was probably an ideal location for them.
Good to know that your dad works for this company. It's a reputed company
Wow that must have really been huge effort you put over there to shoot that movie and you shoot it right actually
A lot of effort for them, I was enjoying it
wow what an interesting experience!
yeah, my dear, it's always being shooted soso long, and then we see just some seconds;)
we had the same when TV came to shoot small video about us. 2 hours of interviews and shooting and 2 min in result;))
Yes my dear, it was quite an interesting experience, but then yes after 2 days I wanted them to leave because even if they were just in the balcony there was continuous noise around.
It has become very beautiful, I have never seen the shooting done till date but you have presented it very beautifully.
Thank you
Wow... This shooting is looking really interesting and amazing. I just loved watching these shots.!!
