Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy ☺️. Estuve viendo los nuevos documentales y películas que han salido en este año 2024 y me llamó mucho la atención uno en particular llamado In Bloom el cuál creo no es muy conocido ya que acaba de salir y que no sé si se podría considerar una película porque solo tiene una duración de una hora pero dentro de ella encontramos varios cortos de diferentes mujeres y sus historias de vida, tocan temas bastante interesantes y así que me pareció buena idea poder hablarles de In Bloom dirigida por Priyanka Banerjee y Nicole Teeny.

I was watching the new documentaries and movies that have come out in this year 2024 and I was very interested in one in particular called In Bloom which I think is not very well known since it just came out and I do not know if it could be considered a movie because it only has a duration of one hour but within it we find several short films of different women and their life stories, they touch quite interesting topics and so I thought it was a good idea to tell you about In Bloom directed by Priyanka Banerjee and Nicole Teeny.

Esta serie de cortos nos van contando las historias de diferentes mujeres de distintas razas, edades y clases sociales que se enfrentan a situaciones que en cierta forma forman parte de la vida de las mujeres en el mundo. Primero nos cuentan la historia de una joven que está en la etapa de la adolescencia y que no ha experimentado su período menstrual y desafortunadamente en una de sus clases en la escuela le viene el período y se vuelve el asme reír de más que todo chicos que realmente son inmaduros y que ven estos procesos como algo fuera de lo normal. Así que esta joven le pide ayuda a otra que le presta una toalla sanitaria y le explica que no tenga miedo y que es algo normal en las mujeres que esto suceda y forma parte de la vida. Al final del corto muestran de una forma muy importante para las jóvenes que vean esta historia que en la unión entre mujeres podemos lograr formar un equipo.

This series of short films tells the stories of different women of different races, ages and social classes who face situations that in some way are part of the lives of women in the world. First we are told the story of a young woman who is in her adolescence and has not experienced her menstrual period and unfortunately in one of her classes at school she gets her period and becomes the laughing stock of more than all the boys who are really immature and who see these processes as something out of the ordinary. So this young woman asks for help from another girl who lends her a sanitary napkin and explains to her not to be afraid and that it is normal for women that this happens and it is part of life. At the end of the short film they show in a very important way for the young women who see this story that in the union between women we can form a team.

Después de este corto nos muestran otro de una mujer adulta que está en su casa y que tiene algunos golpes que trata de ocultar y que siente mucha desesperación por qué su esposo llegue a la casa. Se puede apreciar que está mujer está siendo abusada física y psicológicamente por su pareja y que siente una gran preocupación por el bienestar de sus dos hijos pequeños. Entre todo este tormento ella logra salir de la casa y escapar con sus hijos quiénes inocentes a la situación piensan que van de paseo con su madre. Ella hace una parada en un supermercado para comprar comida para sus hijos y sus hijos quedan solos en el carro, esto produce en otra persona que está en el estacionamiento una gran angustia así que a través de la placa investigan de quién es el carro y dan con el nombre de el esposo abusivo. Al final una mujer que es guardia entiende la situación y que deben dejar que la mujer se vaya con sus hijos y estos logran irse hacia un lugar lejos de los abusos de el hombre que debió amarlos y respetarlos.

After this short film we are shown another one of an adult woman who is at home and who has some bruises that she tries to hide and who feels very desperate for her husband to come home. It can be seen that this woman is being physically and psychologically abused by her partner and that she feels a great concern for the welfare of her two young children. In the midst of all this torment, she manages to leave the house and escape with her children who, innocent of the situation, think they are going for a walk with their mother. She makes a stop at a supermarket to buy food for her children and her children are left alone in the car, this produces in another person who is in the parking lot a great anguish so through the license plate they investigate whose car it is and they find the name of the abusive husband. In the end a woman who is a guard understands the situation and that they must let the woman leave with her children and they manage to go to a place far away from the abuse of the man who should have loved and respected them.

La siguiente historia es sobre una joven adolescente de origen hindú que está pasando por un proceso difícil ya por tradición familiar ella debe casarse con un hombre mucho mayor que ella y ademas no puede decir que no a esto y debe hacer lo que su esposo le pida. Está fue una de las historias que más tristeza me dió ya que me parece absurdo como en algunos países aún existan este tipo de reglas horribles que obligan a una adolescente o a una niña que debería estar viviendo cada una de sus etapas y después decidir si se puede casar o no.

The following story is about a young teenage girl of Indian origin who is going through a difficult process since by family tradition she must marry a man much older than her and she cannot say no to this and must do what her husband asks her to do. This was one of the stories that saddened me the most because it seems absurd to me how in some countries there are still these horrible rules that force a teenager or a girl who should be living each of her stages and then decide whether she can get married or not.

También nos cuenta la historia de una mujer de origen humilde de piel morena quien es una de las encargadas en una peluquería y que es bastante conocida por hacer muy bien su trabajo, pero un día llega a su casa y su esposo le cuenta que su suegra está mal de salud y que lo ideal sería que ella se quedara en casa para cuidarla lo que genera en ella un sentimiento de tristeza y de impotencia por tener que abandonar lo que más le apasiona que es su trabajo para tener que quedarse en casa, así que como su situación hay miles de mujeres que por diferentes circunstancias tienen que hacer labores en casa y hasta cosas que no les corresponden y no pueden refutar ante esto porque las haría quedar como malas mujeres.

It also tells the story of a woman of humble origin with dark skin who is one of the managers in a hairdresser's shop and who is well known for doing her job very well, but one day she arrives home and her husband tells her that her mother-in-law is in poor health and that ideally she should stay home to take care of her, which generates in her a feeling of sadness and impotence for having to abandon what she is most passionate about, her job, to have to stay at home, So like her situation there are thousands of women who for different circumstances have to do housework and even things that do not correspond to them and they cannot refute this because it would make them look like bad women.

Por último tenemos a una mujer que lucha contra una enfermedad bastante común y con las consecuencias de esta, tiene VIH y esto le ha generado un deterioro en su salud física y mental a tal punto de que tiene episodios graves de ansiedad y pánico, dónde ella piensa que su familia la odia y que no quieren a una persona que por alguna razón contrajo esta enfermedad. Trata de hacer su vida lo más normal posible pero siempre tiene esta especie de fantasma que la persigue y que le dice que todo lo que hace está mal y que si las personas se enteran de que tiene VIH la van a despreciar y nunca podrá tener una vida normal ni tampoco podrá conseguir una pareja que entienda lo que le sucede y que la quiera a pesar de esto.

Finally we have a woman who is struggling with a very common disease and the consequences of this, she has HIV and this has caused a deterioration in her physical and mental health to the point that she has severe episodes of anxiety and panic, where she thinks that her family hates her and that they do not want a person who for some reason contracted this disease. She tries to make her life as normal as possible but she always has this kind of ghost that haunts her and tells her that everything she does is wrong and that if people find out that she has HIV they will despise her and she will never be able to have a normal life nor will she be able to find a partner who understands what is happening to her and who loves her in spite of this.

In Bloom nos cuenta estas historias que llegan a sentirse muy personales y con las cuales podemos llegar a empatizar con las mujeres que muestran en estos cortos, cada uno de estas historias ocurren de manera muy repetida y nos dejan ver qué hay realidades más crudas de las que podemos pensar, que ser mujer en este mundo puede llegar a ser tan difícil y que muchas veces podemos vivir situaciones humillantes y también estar en la posición de que otros decidan por nuestra vida. Por suerte hoy en día hay mayor valor a las voces de las mujeres y se han llegado a lograr grandes pasos para poder vivir de una manera más tranquila en este mundo dónde se ve a la mujer como un objeto sexual, frágil y hasta algunas veces solo como alguien que esta para dar vida a otro ser humano sin importar que pensamos o sentimos.

In Bloom tells us these stories that come to feel very personal and with which we can empathize with the women shown in these short films, each of these stories occur very repeatedly and let us see that there are cruder realities than we can think, that being a woman in this world can be so difficult and that many times we can live humiliating situations and also be in the position that others decide for our life. Fortunately today there is more value to the voices of women and have come to achieve great strides to live in a calmer way in this world where women are seen as a sexual object, fragile and sometimes even just as someone who is to give life to another human being no matter what we think or feel.

Fue una serie de cortos muy precisos que aunque tocan cada uno de los temas de manera superficial ayudan a que se de un vistazo de todas las problemáticas que viven las mujeres en diferentes partes del mundo y que aún hay que seguir trabajando por exigir los derechos que merecemos como personas que pensamos y sentimos. Me gustó verlo, fue bastante corto de una duración de una hora pero valió la pena y además muestran cada problemática de una forma en la que cualquier tipo de persona la puede ver y entender más acerca del feminismo y de los procesos por los que pasamos como mujeres. Espero puedan darle una oportunidad y verlo, está interesante!

It was a series of very precise short films that although they touch each of the topics in a superficial way, they help to give a glimpse of all the problems that women live in different parts of the world and that we still have to continue working to demand the rights that we deserve as people who think and feel. I liked watching it, it was quite short, it lasted an hour but it was worth it and it also shows each issue in a way that any kind of person can see it and understand more about feminism and the processes we go through as women. I hope you can give it a chance and watch it, it's interesting!
