[ESP-ENG] Film Review: Speak No Evil | Everything that can happen when we interact with strangers.

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien el día de hoy. Ayer ví una de las películas que se encuentra en la cartelera de cine, se llama Speak No Evil o No Hables con Extraños dirigida por James Watkins y protagonizada por James McAvoy, Aisling Franciosi, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, es de género terror psicológico y drama y me llamó la atención la trama y cómo el llegar a hablar con extraños literalmente puede llevarnos a estar en situaciones desesperantes y de verdadero horror, porque nunca sabemos que hay detrás de lo que parece ser una familia perfecta y unida.

Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are well today. Yesterday I saw one of the movies that is on the billboard, it's called Speak No Evil directed by James Watkins and starring James McAvoy, Aisling Franciosi, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, is of genre psychological horror and drama and I was struck by the plot and how getting to talk to strangers literally can lead us to be in desperate situations and real horror, because we never know what is behind what seems to be a perfect and united family.

La trama nos cuenta la historia de la familia Dalton, una familia americana conformada por Ben Dalton, Louise Dalton y su hija Agnes. Mientras está familia pasa unas vacaciones de ensueño conocen a otra familia bastante peculiar y muy divertida, Paddy (James McAvoy) es el padre de Ant y esposo de Ciara, ambas familias empiezan a compartir momentos juntos mientras se van conociendo y se enteran de que Paddy es un prestigioso médico y que su hijo Ant es muy timido debido a que tiene problemas para relacionarse y lo que ellos llaman una discapacidad, para los Dalton la familia de Paddy parece ser una familia con la que pueden llegar a formar una buena relación y amistad.

The plot tells the story of the Dalton family, an American family made up of Ben Dalton, Louise Dalton and their daughter Agnes. While this family spends a dream vacation they meet another family quite peculiar and very funny, Paddy (James McAvoy) is the father of Ant and husband of Ciara, both families begin to share moments together as they get to know each other and learn that Paddy is a prestigious doctor and that his son Ant is very shy because he has trouble relating and what they call a disability, for the Daltons Paddy's family seems to be a family with which they can form a good relationship and friendship.

Luego de que se acaban las vacaciones, Paddy invita a la familia Dalton a pasar unos días en su casa del campo dónde les prometen enseñarles la arquitectura del lugar, conocer el pueblo y poder pasar más tiempo juntos sin tanto ruido de la ciudad. Al llegar se encuentran con una casa antigua bastante acogedora y comienzan a ver cada detalle de la misma mientras Paddy les cuenta cómo es vivir en un lugar cómo ese, dónde no hay casi habitantes y dónde hay mucha vegetación, animales y dónde se pueden sentir en calma. La familia Dalton espera pasar unos pocos días y luego regresar a casa pero Paddy tiene otras intenciones y es allí cuando las cosas empiezan a ponerse raras, dónde la verdad pronto saldrá a la luz.

After the vacations are over, Paddy invites the Dalton family to spend a few days in his house in the country where they promise to show them the architecture of the place, get to know the town and be able to spend more time together without so much noise from the city. Upon arrival they find an old house quite cozy and begin to see every detail of it while Paddy tells them how it is to live in a place like that, where there are almost no inhabitants and where there is a lot of vegetation, animals and where you can feel calm. The Dalton family hopes to spend a few days and then return home but Paddy has other intentions and that's when things start to get weird, where the truth will soon come out.

Esta historia nos muestra el lado más oscuro de una familia que aparenta ser normal pero que esconden muchos secretos, entre ellos su extraña forma de reaccionar a ciertas situaciones dónde reflejan una gran ira o descontrol, también suelen tratar de muy mala manera a su hijo Ant cosa que hace que te des cuenta de que hay algo que esta mal en toda esta familia. Es una película que busca mostrar el lado del terror psicológico de una manera sutil pero que llega a impresionar al espectador, tiene una duración de una hora y cincuenta minutos dónde la película es bastante llevadera y que siempre hace que te mantengas viéndola hasta el final, los personajes hacen que la película sea bastante realista en cuanto a los temas que se tocan cómo el de asesinatos, desapariciones, problemas mentales y lo que podría también ser una familia psicópata.

This story shows us the darker side of a family that appears to be normal but hide many secrets, including their strange way of reacting to certain situations where they reflect a great anger or lack of control, they also tend to treat their son Ant in a very bad way which makes you realize that there is something wrong with this family. It is a film that seeks to show the side of psychological horror in a subtle way but that comes to impress the viewer, has a duration of one hour and fifty minutes where the film is quite bearable and always makes you keep watching it until the end, the characters make the film is quite realistic in terms of the issues that are touched how the murders, disappearances, mental problems and what could also be a psychopathic family.

James McAvoy es el que hace que está película sea aun más interesante, ya conocemos otros papeles dónde el interpreta personajes que están mal psicológicamente y que muestra una forma de ser muy extraña y esto sucede también en esta película, dónde el interpreta a Paddy un hombre que parece ser muy extrovertido y encantador pero que oculta un gran secreto junto a su esposa Claire y su hijo Ant, Ant es una de las piezas claves para que realmente se descubran los secretos que esconde esta familia los cuales son bastante perturbadores. Los últimos minutos de la película son el declive de lo que se veía venir, llenos de miedo y de intensidad dónde la familia Dalton intenta salir de la casa de Paddy con el miedo de convertirse en una de sus tantas víctimas.

James McAvoy is the one that makes this movie even more interesting, we already know other roles where he plays characters that are psychologically wrong and shows a very strange way of being and this also happens in this movie, where he plays Paddy a man who seems to be very outgoing and charming but hides a big secret with his wife Claire and his son Ant, Ant is one of the key pieces to really discover the secrets that this family hides which are quite disturbing. The last minutes of the film are the decline of what was to come, full of fear and intensity where the Dalton family tries to leave Paddy's house with the fear of becoming one of his many victims.

Es una película que me gustó por qué la historia tiene un poco de humor dentro de todo lo siniestro, te sientes ansioso al ver cómo la familia Dalton por una simple interacción con Paddy se encuentran envueltos en un hogar dónde nada es lo que parece y dónde han ocurrido cosas muy malas y que harían que cualquiera desearía no haberlos conocido. Las actuaciones fueron bastante buenas destacando como dije anteriormente a James McAvoy y a su hijo Ant, la escenografía y la forma en la que grabaron la película también te mantiene alerta ante cualquier situación extraña que puede estar por ocurrir, siento que es una de mis películas favoritas de James McAvoy dónde refleja el verdadero terror y locura que puede estar dentro de un ser humano.

It is a movie that I liked because the story has a bit of humor within all the sinister, you feel anxious to see how the Dalton family by a simple interaction with Paddy are involved in a home where nothing is what it seems and where very bad things have happened and that would make anyone wish they had never met them. The performances were quite good highlighting as I said before James McAvoy and his son Ant, the set design and the way they shot the movie also keeps you alert to any strange situation that may be about to happen, I feel it is one of my favorite James McAvoy movies where he reflects the true terror and madness that can be inside a human being.
