Hola amigos de la querida comunidad de Movies & TV el día de hoy estuve buscando películas para ver desde telegram y me conseguí con un canal donde había una que llamo mi atención, debido a que la trama era algo diferente a lo que usualmente veo (mi género favorito es el romance y también el drama jaja) entonces me encontré con una película llamada Every Breath You Take.

Hello friends of the beloved Movies & TV community today I was looking for movies to watch from telegram and I came across a channel where there was one that caught my attention, because the plot was something different from what I usually watch (my favorite genre is romance and also drama haha) so I came across a movie called Every Breath You Take.

La trama se veía bastante interesante y además también llamo mi atención por dos actores principales en la película los cuales son Casey Affleck (Lo conocí por Manchester By the Sea y me gustó demasiado su actuación en esa película aunque haya estado relacionado con rumores sobre abuso contra una mujer, está noticia no se en que quedaría pero espero que haya sido mentira porque el realmente tiene una manera única de actuar muy similar a su forma de ser a la hora de estar frente a sus fanáticos. Si no haz visto Manchester By the Sea es hora de que lo hagas, pero solo si estás emocionalmente preparado porque la película muestra la etapa oscura de la depresión en su personaje y puede llegar hacerte llorar como a mi. Por otro lado también ví que sale en esta película Sam Claflin (Lo conocí por la adaptación de la película Love, Rosie y me encantó la química que demostró tener junto a la hermosa Lily Collins donde ambos hicieron una de mis parejas de películas románticas favoritas, es muy linda esa película, además también es conocido por su papel en Yo antes de Ti con Emilia Clarke y la película Adrift junto a Shailene Woodley la cual no he visto aún pero la tengo pendiente. Bueno, ver qué dos de mis actores favoritos estuvieran en una película juntos me lleno de emoción y logré verla. Aquí podrán leer mi opinión acerca de la película Every Breath You Take del 2021 de género drama, thriller y suspenso.

The plot looked pretty interesting and I was also drawn to two main actors in the movie which are Casey Affleck (I knew him from Manchester By the Sea and I really liked his performance in that movie even though he has been linked to rumors of abuse against a woman, I don't know what the news was about but I hope it was a lie because he really has a unique way of acting very similar to his way of being in front of his fans. If you haven't seen Manchester By the Sea it's time to do it, but only if you are emotionally prepared because the movie shows the dark stage of depression in his character and it can make you cry like me. On the other hand I also saw that Sam Claflin is in this movie (I met him for the movie adaptation of Love, Rosie and I loved the chemistry he showed together with the beautiful Lily Collins where they both made one of my favorite romantic movie couples, it's very cute that movie, plus he is also known for his role in Me Before You with Emilia Clarke and the movie Adrift with Shailene Woodley which I haven't seen yet but I have it pending. Well, seeing two of my favorite actors in a movie together filled me with excitement and I got to see it. Philip (Casey Affleck) es un especialista en psiquiatra, tiene una vida aparentemente normal, vive con su hija y su esposa. Pero en algún punto de la historia su vida se ve alterada cuando una de sus pacientes muere a causa de suicidio. Phillips tiene una relación cercana con Dhapne su paciente, la cual tiene un historial familiar de problemas de salud mental, en la película nos hablan de que la madre de Dhapne era bipolar y se suicidó y el padre también tenía ciertos problemas los cuales ocasionaron en Dhapne una conducta hacia la impulsividad y a hacer cosas riesgosas como beber y drogarse hasta olvidarlo todo, hacerse autolesiones y tener una vida bastante complicada para tan corta edad.

Philip (Casey Affleck) is a specialist psychiatrist, he has a seemingly normal life, living with his daughter and wife. But at some point in the story his life is altered when one of his patients dies by suicide. Phillips has a close relationship with Dhapne his patient, who has a family history of mental health problems, in the film we are told that Dhapne's mother was bipolar and committed suicide and the father also had certain problems which caused in Dhapne a behavior towards impulsivity and to do risky things like drinking and drugging until you forget everything, self-harm and have a rather complicated life for such a young age.

Antes de la muerte de Dhapne, ella le habla a Philip para contarle que su mejor amiga había muerto y que se sentía muy mal, Philip la tranquilizó en el momento y le dijo que al día siguiente en el consultorio podrían hablar de ese tema y profundizar más en las emociones que estaba sintiendo Dhapne, pero simplemente recibió la noticia de que había fallecido y todo indicaba que era producto de un suicidio. El problema está en que Philip no hizo el protocolo correcto con Dhapne de mantener una línea entre paciente y doctor sino que aprovecho para contarle toda su vida incluyendo una situación traumática que vivió por la perdida de un ser querido con la intención de crear empatía entre Dhapne y él sin pensar que esto podría traerle consecuencias después y así fue. Un día aparece el hermano de Dhapne, James Flagg (Sam Claflin) un hombre atractivo y con el cual es fácil relacionarse porque resulta ser bastante amigable y buen oyente.

Pero James Flagg el cual dice ser el hermano de Dhapne viene con la intención de hacer justicia por su muerte y cree que el culpable de que ella muriera fue el Dr Philip. Por lo cual se va adentrando poco a poco en su vida, conociendo desde adentro su entorno familiar y social. Empieza a tener mucha interacción con Grace la esposa de Philip porque según el está interesado en vender la casa donde vivía su hermana y Grace es un agente inmobiliario así que quién mejor que ella para ayudarlo no? También va acercándose a Lucy la hija problemática de Philip, la cuál fue expulsada de un internado por inhalar drogas. Las relaciones entre ambos tanto Lucy con James cómo James con Grace se van haciendo cada vez más fuertes dónde el logra sacar información de sus vidas que podría serle útil porque es un hombre muy audaz.

But James Flagg, who claims to be Dhapne's brother, comes with the intention of seeking justice for her death and believes that Dr. Philip is to blame for her death. So he slowly gets into her life, getting to know her family and social environment from the inside. He begins to have a lot of interaction with Grace Philip's wife because according to him he is interested in selling the house where his sister lived and Grace is a real estate agent so who better than her to help him? He also gets closer to Philip's troubled daughter Lucy, who was expelled from a boarding school for snorting drugs. The relationships between both Lucy with James and James with Grace are getting stronger and stronger where he manages to get information from their lives that could be useful to him because he is a very bold man.

Las cosas se empiezan a complicar cuando Philip va perdiendo pacientes debido a rumores que hay sobre él y su manera de prácticar sus consultas, pero todos los reclamos que aparecen en la oficina principal de psiquiatría vienen con anonimato, esto hace que Philip empiece a estresarse por la situación. Meanwhile James Flagg is creating before Lucy and Grace an image of a perfect man who even becomes something more than that, he begins to seduce them both without them or anyone else knowing, remember he is a very perceptive man.

Está película hablando desde lo que ví por internet tiene muy baja puntuación por parte de las personas que la vieron, a pesar de eso me pareció una película bastante entretenida porque siempre hay suspenso y además Sam Claflin haciendo un papel de malo lo hace verdaderamente bien, que incluso podrías pensar ya va pero el no es el chico bueno que sale en las películas de romance, pues no siempre tendrá un papel de bueno jaja y me gustó bastante esa faceta distinta de el. Creo que la película a pesar de que dura solo 01:40:00 minutos se siente un poco larga aunque a mí se me pasó el tiempo bastante rápido pero pudo haber sido más corta y un poco más llena de emoción y de momentos de tensión dónde se sintiera realmente el miedo de todo lo que estaba sucediendo. El giro de la trama fue sorpresivo no esperaba lo que era realmente el personaje de James Flagg aunque tal vez si ves la película te des cuenta rápido o tal vez no.

This movie speaking from what I saw on the internet has a very low score from the people who saw it, despite that I found it a pretty entertaining movie because there is always suspense and also Sam Claflin playing a bad guy role does really well, you might even think he is not the good guy that comes out in romance movies, well he will not always have a good role haha and I quite liked that different side of him. I think the movie even though it's only 01:40:00 minutes long it feels a little long although it went by pretty fast for me but it could have been shorter and a little more full of emotion and tense moments where you could really feel the fear of everything that was happening. The plot twist was surprising I wasn't expecting what James Flagg's character really was although maybe if you watch the movie you'll realize it quickly or maybe not.

Digamos en líneas generales que la película no es ni buena ni mala, es entretenida para ver un fin de semana y también si te gustan los actores que están en ella cómo Casey Affleck, Sam Claflin, Michelle Monaghan, Lilly Krug, India Eisley entre otros. La actuación de Casey estuvo normal, me gusta verlo en otro tipo de películas como drama dónde el sea un personaje más edificado, la actuación de Sam Claflin fue impecable hasta el final, realmente me gustó ver una versión malvada de él y si me la creí cuando lo ví en escena jaja. La fotografía tiene bastante que aportarle a la película, esas escenas montañosas y llenas de árboles con un toque de neblina para que el ambiente fuera más turbio. Creo que es una película que solo dejaría que los demás la vieran sin ponerle mucho ánimo a la situación porque cómo muchos pueden terminar decepcionados al verla pero a mí me gustó bastante el final, que era todo lo necesario que debía ocurrir.

Let's say in general terms that the movie is neither good nor bad, it is entertaining to watch on a weekend and also if you like the actors that are in it like Casey Affleck, Sam Claflin, Michelle Monaghan, Lilly Krug, India Eisley among others. Casey's performance was average, I like to see him in other kind of movies like drama where he is a more edified character, Sam Claflin's performance was impeccable until the end, I really liked to see an evil version of him and I believed it when I saw him on stage haha. The cinematography has quite a bit to add to the movie, those mountainous and tree filled scenes with a touch of mist to make the atmosphere more murky. I think it's a movie that I would just let others watch it without putting too much pep in the situation because how many may end up disappointed when watching it but I quite liked the ending, which was everything that needed to happen.

Me está gustando este género de drama con suspenso, a pesar de que soy una persona que se asusta con los momentos en los que sabes que va a pasar algo pero a la vez no sabes que puede ocurrir (suspenso total) y que me gusta más las películas que sean reflexivas, sobre la vida, el amor y también los documentales. Me gusto volver a ver a Casey Affleck en una película después de Manchester By the Sea que creo ha sido la mejor en toda su carrera y hasta se ganó un Oscar en su primera nominación así que eso dice mucho. Bueno no quiero alargarme más, espero que puedan verla, la pueden encontrar en Prime Video, Apple Tv y en algunas plataformas de películas por internet.

I'm liking this genre of drama with suspense, even though I'm a person who gets scared with the moments when you know something is going to happen but at the same time you don't know what can happen (total suspense) and I like more movies that are reflective, about life, love and also documentaries. It was nice to see Casey Affleck in a movie again after Manchester By the Sea which I think was the best in his career and he even won an Oscar in his first nomination so that says a lot. Well I don't want to go any longer, I hope you can see it, you can find it on Prime Video, Apple TV and some online movie platforms.
