Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy. Quiero hablarles de una película que encontré gracias a un vídeo de TikTok y que es algo antigüa, está película se llama Closer y es del año 2004 dirigida por Mike Nichols y la cual fue aclamada por ser una obra del cine de los 2000 además de ser una historia que te atrapa y que esta llena de enredos, amor, pasión y desilusiones. Es una película que vale la pena ver y que muestra de forma realista el tema de las relaciones de parejas y como el amor puede hacer que algunas veces nos metamos en enredos y que los sentimientos nos hagan actuar de forma poco racional, el amor es algo que simplemente no se piensa sino que se siente. I want to tell you about a movie that I found thanks to a video of TikTok and that is somewhat old, this movie is called Closer and is from 2004 directed by Mike Nichols and which was acclaimed for being a work of cinema of the 2000s besides being a story that catches you and is full of entanglements, love, passion and disillusionment. It is a movie that is worth watching and that shows in a realistic way the theme of relationships and how love can sometimes make us get into entanglements and that feelings make us act in a non-rational way, love is something that simply is not thought but felt. La historia de Closer se desarrolla dentro de la vida de cuatros personajes principales quienes son Dan, Alice, Anna y Larry. Dan interpretado por Jude Law, es un periodista de necrológicas y escritor bastante frustrado quien un día conoce a una joven muy llamativa llamada Alice interpretada por Natalie Portman, una bailarina de striptease cuya vida es bastante alocada y siendo una mujer tan joven siente que el mundo es un lugar en el que hay todo tipo de posibilidades para ser y vivir como mejor le parezca. Pero un día caminando Alice y Dan se encuentren por casualidad y empiezan a conversar, la conversación se extiende de manera que Dan queda muy flechado por esta hermosa joven llena de vida y quien le es muy interesante por lo que quiere seguir viendola y conocerla un poco más.
The story of Closer unfolds within the lives of four main characters who are Dan, Alice, Anna and Larry. Dan played by Jude Law, is a frustrated obituary journalist and writer who one day meets a striking young woman named Alice played by Natalie Portman, a stripper whose life is quite crazy and being such a young woman she feels that the world is a place where there are all kinds of possibilities to be and live as she sees fit. But one day while walking Alice and Dan meet by chance and begin to talk, the conversation extends so that Dan is very attracted to this beautiful young woman full of life and who is very interesting to him so he wants to continue seeing her and get to know her a little more.
Sin embargo, Dan conoce a Anna una increíble y talentosa fotógrafa interpretada por Julia Roberts ambos tienen una fuerte conexión y aunque en la película no se comprende si ya Dan conocia a Anna antes de tener interes en Alice el seguirá teniendo una relación con Anna mientras en su mente no puede dejar de olvidar a la jovial Alice y su forma tan genuina de ser lo que hace que se sienta aun mas atraído hacia ella. Todo comienza a empeorar cuando Dan empieza una relación paralela con Alice mientras aún mantiene sentimientos por Anna y esto lo hace sentir impotente por no saber que hacer ante esta situación, mientras que Anna a pesar de amar a Dan conoce a un dermatólogo llamado Larry interpretado por Clive Owen quien acude a una cita a ciegas y se encuentra con Anna, para colmo Dan tuvo que ver sin pensarlo en que se diera el encuentro de ambos y esto le hace sentir emociones encontradas.
However, Dan meets Anna, an amazing and talented photographer played by Julia Roberts and the two have a strong connection and although in the movie it is not clear if Dan knew Anna before he was interested in Alice, he will continue to have a relationship with Anna while in his mind he can't stop forgetting the jovial Alice and her genuine way of being which makes him feel even more attracted to her. Everything starts to get worse when Dan starts a parallel relationship with Alice while he still has feelings for Anna and this makes him feel helpless for not knowing what to do in this situation, while Anna despite loving Dan meets a dermatologist named Larry played by Clive Owen who goes on a blind date and meets Anna, to make matters worse Dan had to see without thinking about it in the meeting of the two and this makes him feel mixed emotions.
Tanto Dan como Anna comienza relaciones paralelas con Alice y Larry y es ahí cuando todo empieza a complicarse porque Dan siente un profundo amor hacia Anna pero no puede evitar volver cada vez que lo necesita a los brazos de Alice, lo mismo ocurre con Anna y Larry quienes formalizan su relación y hasta llegan al matrimonio de manera apresurada, a pesar de que Anna aún piensa en Dan y lo sigue amando. Cómo pueden dos personas querer a una mientras al mismo tiempo sienten algo por otra, hay muchas confusiones y se cometen muchos errores dentro de la relación de cada uno por no saber hablar a tiempo sobre como se sienten realmente y sobre sus sentimientos, muestran de manera muy clara el conflicto del ser humano al momento de tener una relación y conocer a otra persona que parece ser eso que tanto esperaban como pareja.
Both Dan and Anna start parallel relationships with Alice and Larry and that's when everything starts to get complicated because Dan feels a deep love for Anna but he can't avoid going back to Alice's arms every time he needs it, the same happens with Anna and Larry who formalize their relationship and even get married in a hurry, even though Anna still thinks about Dan and still loves him. How can two people love one while at the same time feel something for another, there are many confusions and many mistakes are made within the relationship of each one for not knowing how to talk in time about how they really feel and about their feelings, they show in a very clear way the conflict of the human being at the moment of having a relationship and meeting another person who seems to be what they expected as a couple.

La vida de los cuatro se entrelazan y todo se vuelve un caos emocional, hay sentimientos de por medio que hacen difícil el poder tomar decisiones y el deseo complica aún más el poder hablar de forma clara, Closer nos sumerge en la historia de amor y desamor de cada uno de los personajes mientras ellos van aprendiendo de lo que les sucede y tambien cometen errores que pueden ser fatales en una relación, ellos exploran sus limites y al final se tienen que enfrentar a las consecuencias de sus acciones. Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de este film es la capacidad de mostrar la complejidad del ser humano en sus relaciones, la fugacidad de los encuentros, la forma en que las mentiras siempre salen a la luz y como esto puede destruir la confianza en las relaciones y terminar por destruirlas. Podemos ver que el guión y los diálogos entre los actores capturan la realidad y la complejidad de las relaciones modernas, hay escenas donde podemos ver cómo si las cosas se hubieran hablado y aclarado desde el principio al final podrían no haber terminado mal. Además hay que destacar que las actuaciones son increíbles teniendo en cuenta los actores como Jude Law, Natalie Portman y Julia Roberts quienes cada uno hicieron que la pelicula se sintiera real y que nos adentraramos al caos en el que todos fueron complices.
One of the things I liked most about this film is the ability to show the complexity of human beings in their relationships, the transience of encounters, the way lies always come to light and how this can destroy trust in relationships and end up destroying them. We can see that the script and the dialogues between the actors capture the reality and complexity of modern relationships, there are scenes where we can see how if things had been talked about and clarified from the beginning to the end they might not have ended badly. In addition, the performances are incredible considering the actors like Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts who each made the movie feel real and made us enter into the chaos in which they were all complicit.
Sin duda es una de esas películas que tienes que ver con atención para no perderte de ningún detalle y en el que no puedes juzgar la forma en la que sucedieron las cosas porque tal vez los personajes en la historia no tenían la madurez emocional para poder hablar con la verdad desde un principio y poder ver quién era la persona realmente importante para sus vidas. Y así son las relaciones de parejas, complejas llenas de altibajos que hacen que algunas veces sintamos que estamos dentro de un caos pero que si podemos tener la capacidad para aceptar lo que sentimos entonces desde ahí podemos tomar las mejores decisiones y amar a la persona con la que nos sintamos realmente auténticos y dónde las mentiras no existan aunque sea complicado.
It is undoubtedly one of those movies that you have to watch carefully to not miss any detail and in which you can not judge the way things happened because perhaps the characters in the story did not have the emotional maturity to be able to speak the truth from the beginning and to see who was the person really important to their lives. And that's how relationships are, complex, full of ups and downs that sometimes make us feel that we are in chaos but if we can have the ability to accept what we feel then from there we can make the best decisions and love the person with whom we feel really authentic and where lies do not exist even if it is complicated.
