Dune: Part Two - A cinematographic experience (No spoilers)
I hadn't been to the movies for many months because I really didn't feel motivated by any movie, in fact, I was about to go to see "Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Hashira Training", but after seeing an unfortunate spoiler in which it was stated that this movie is a kind of filler without much depth or importance, I decided not to go because there were no new action scenes or a significant story, I decided that it wouldn't be worth it, after all, going to the movies should be a good experience.
But speaking of experiences, "Dune: Part Two" was recently released and that is a movie of which I had good expectations. After seeing the first one and getting to know that vast universe, I was waiting for the long awaited second part which I was determined to see in the cinema since it was announced since the cinematographic impressions and the story in general of the first part were always positive, in fact, in recent months I did a little more research on this universe to keep myself updated and not to decontextualize myself in any passage of the film.
I believe that it is essential to learn a little about the history and the universe of Dune, so as not to get lost in the heavy politics and diplomacy that we see there, although it is not really that complicated, however, being informed about everything will allow us to enjoy the film much more without thinking so much trying to understand certain contexts.
And well, I say "enjoy" because beyond the interesting plot, there are cinematic, visual and sound elements that are in itself a unique experience and little comparable to others. The vast deserts, the massive spaceships, the environment, the worms and the characters themselves are perfectly characterized and make us feel the heat and dehydration of the planet Arrakis, an inhospitable planet that is the site of an all-out dispute between the locals and the empire, which seeks to extract at any cost the "spice", a coveted element that serves to extend human vitality, among other important functions.
Something that characterizes this film since the first part was released is its epicness, in Dune we see spaces and coarse scenarios that give the feeling that everything there is massive and heavy. The large excavating machines and spaceships are only imaginable in this universe since we have rarely seen such things in other science fiction films. But to achieve this, it is essential to have high-level special effects that allow these things to be staged as realistically as possible, and they succeeded.
One factor that allowed this film to have so much visual impact is that it was shot with IMAX cameras. This allows the viewing experience to be more extensive, deep and impactful, and well, a film of this style and with such a proposal certainly had to be recorded in this way. I think the director Denis Villeneuve did a fundamental work to make Dune what it is today, maybe it is not the most recognized saga of all since the truth is not for all audiences, but I particularly appreciate that today we are offered stories of this type, and the truth is that in certain aspects the industry is running out of fresh ideas.
The soundtrack is another aspect that gives a unique characteristic to this movie and it is there where it becomes essential to watch it in a movie theater. There are scenes that together with the soundtrack give a certain sense of terror, the surround audio makes the experience more complete and vivid, something that you will not be able to perceive watching the movie at home through streaming.
The truth is that Dune: Part Two is a film that while it is true that it is not for everyone because of how heavy it can be, it offers us a different universe, with political problems and an empire hungry for power and mad to control the "spice", but beyond that, it offers us plots and arguments between characters and families that are certainly interesting, and well, love is certainly present at certain times. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson, mainly, do a totally worthy and outstanding job, I think they play their characters in the best possible way, but there are also other recognized actors who do an excellent job.

I want to watch that movie, the part one was great, this second part looks great too
Yes, the truth is that both films are very well made, it would be great if you could see the second one, don't miss it. A hug!
The plot of Dune is very great, I haven't seen either of the two but I remember the one from the 80s very well, obviously nothing to do with the visual quality of these new installments. When I learned that there are several novels that deal with this universe, I was amazed, I had no idea about it, readers will perhaps enjoy it a lot and will be more immersed in many things that we still do not know.
I won't let them pass by to see what they are like, good review my Bro, the trailer is brutal 🔥🔥🔥... You Absolutely Rockkk!! 👍😎🔥🎬🎥❤️
Certainly those who have read the novels can immerse themselves much more in the plot, but I tell you that the way the movie script is written allows you to perfectly understand everything that is happening.
And well, seeing it in the cinema is another level. Thank you so much for your support bro! Greetings!
I feel exactly like you, nice review, I am also waiting to see it.....
