Hello Hivers! For this blog, let me share with you the series that really caught my attention.

I bet almost all of us are familiar with or have heard of the anime titled "One Piece." I still remember when I was young. I used to eagerly await its airing on our television every morning from Monday to Friday.

I thought the show had ended, but when I came across it again on my Facebook feed last year, I became curious and decided to watch it again.

All I can say is "WOW!" This anime is incredibly captivating, and I lost count of how many times I shed tears while watching it.

Which arc do I like the most?

The Marineford Arc stands out as my favorite. It captivated me with Luffy's relentless efforts to rescue his "brother" Ace from imminent execution.

Luffy went through so much in this arc just to save his brother from his impending execution. Even though he wasn't yet very strong, he still stood firm in his resolve to rescue Ace. Here, he met the Whitebeard Pirates and people who were willing to help him.

Luffy managed to save Ace from his scheduled execution, but unfortunately, Ace was still killed while protecting him from Akainu.I cried heavily over Ace's death, and just when I hadn't even begun to recover from the pain I felt, it was compounded by the death of Ace's father figure, Edward Newgate (Whitebeard).

I was really upset with Eiichiro Oda (the creator of the series One Piece) for killing two of my favorite characters. But Ace's death spurred Luffy to become even stronger because he didn't want to lose any more people close to him. As Eiichiro Oda said, he only used Ace's death to motivate Luffy to become stronger, and with the help of Rayleigh (the first mate of the deceased King of the Pirates), he achieved that.

Favorite character?

In my view, Zoro stands out. He's impressive and, in my opinion, the most steadfast member of the Straw Hats crew. Despite his poor sense of direction, he prevents Luffy from making decisions that could tarnish his reputation. When Luffy and Usopp fell out and Usopp left, everyone expected Luffy to accept him back immediately, but Zoro intervened because he knew it was the right thing to do.

Hated Character?

There are only two characters that I really dislike: Blackbeard and Akainu. Blackbeard, because he's the reason why Ace was imprisoned in Impel Down and almost killed. Plus, his laugh and appearance are really irritating. And then there's Akainu. I hate him because he's the reason Ace died.

Saddest Backstory?

In my opinion, Nico Robin's backstory is the most heartbreaking. From a young age, she was deprived of her parents' presence and faced betrayal from everyone around her, with those who accepted her being murdered. Despite this, she persevered, enduring solely to survive, even though others only sought to exploit her.

This anime has been my constant companion, keeping me entertained and preventing boredom every day. There were times when I was so obsessed with watching it that I even saw characters from it in my dreams. HAHAAHAHHA. Because of its extensive length, it took me almost three months to watch it all. And to this day, I'm still eagerly awaiting the latest updates on "One Piece.".

Nico Robin's backstory is the most heartbreaking.

Her backstory was one of the saddest backstory that I had watched in One Piece, although for me Kanjuro backstory was more sad because unlike Robin who met the Straw hats, Kanjuro never got (refused?) a redemption era. It was sad that Orochi exploited his sadness and anger. Witnessing his parent die before his very own eyes at young age, acting as another person, and at the end refusing the redemption offered by Oden's retainer, his story was really sad until his end.

To be honest, I really hoped that Kanjuro would change his mind and return as an Oden's retainer because Kinemon and the other was willing to accept him again, but it didn't happen. Their past experiences together weren't enough to change his mind. The Akazaya Nine and even Oden loved him, but the desire for vengeance prevailed in him. It's just sad, but that's the path he chose.

Same here, I was really hoping that somehow he will change his mind but I guess before he became Oden's retainer his mind was really set up for that plan. Maybe he really wanted to die that way, which was really sad.
