My Love For Garden

Hello everyone. My name is Nathaniel Gabriel Ameka but you can call me mrnatty.

I love gardening and I don’t know how to do it. I asked people around me about gardening and it seemed like no one was willing to help. One day I told my younger brother about it and he told me that I can learn whatever I want in life without bothering anyone and I asked him how. He told me that I should google it and put it into practice. I read about gardening and decided to start because I love it.

I said to myself let me start by planting some vegetables and then start putting flowers and the rest. It is so much fun at first. I start watering it every morning before I go to work and water it when I come back from work. It is a good thing to do with my time. Gardening is a good way to know for sure but it requires attention. I understand something in this life, whatever someone is doing for this life, that thing requires time and seriousness. When I was busy going up and down, people would laugh at me and call me names. Some even tell me to my face that I am so unemployed and I am useless. I don’t really care how they feel about it but what I know for sure is that I am doing what I want and I love not pleasing anyone. After some months one of the people who was insulting me came to me and I told him that his son what does he have to learn to do in the garden? I looked at the man and asked him why his son is interested in gardening. The man felt bad because he didn’t expect that from me and I told him that I will raise money for his son to take care of the garden. The man asked how much it was and I told him 100,000. The man immediately took his son’s hand and walked away. I laughed! You see life is not what we think, there are much better things than looking down on someone’s dream. Don’t be discouraged because someone tells you that you are unemployed or hopeless. Keep going, gardening is a very good thing to do especially when you are passionate about it. Ignore them, they will join you tomorrow. People like discouraged people, especially when you give them your time. I told them that was what I wanted but they couldn’t help me and I went to learn somewhere else and they were busy bothering me.

I think my love for gardening is natural. Whenever I pass by and see a garden, I feel like going there and sitting there taking pictures and having fun. My younger brother said that this garden gives life. I smiled and told him that he could say it again. Well, it is not wrong to say that the garden gives life because it is one of the most important things that we need in our lives. I learned that one of the main benefits of gardening is its ability to relieve stress and improve mental well-being. Spending time in nature and engaging in gardening activities has been shown to reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. The act of caring for plants and watching them grow can be serious and calming, allowing people to escape the pressures of daily life.

Gardening can serve as a form of meditation, allowing people to focus their attention on the present moment and find solace in the beauty of their surroundings. Overall, incorporating gardening into your life can have a positive impact on your mental health and overall well-being. Because of that, I believe that gardening is life-giving.
