Meet Nathaniel || My introductory Post....

My name is Nathaniel Gabriel Ameka and you can call me Mr. Natty.

I am from Nasarawa State, Nigeria. I attended Nasarawa Eggon Islamic Government Primary School and went to Eggon Community Secondary School, Nasarawa Eggon. Since I finished secondary school, I am faced with different challenges in life.

It all starts when I am born. If you were born in a big family. I am not one of the lucky ones, I grew up in a shitty lifestyle with my parents, they put pressure on me to live each day. I am just the last born and I should not have an opinion. As I grew up, I had to break a lot of habits and eventually change my mindset for the better.

Life is not fair, none of us are born equal. Some very intelligent people never get the chance to showcase their skills and earn a good salary, simply because they were born in the wrong country. However, we cannot change where we are born, but what is more important is how we shape our lives in the future.

My lack of quality of life, coupled with being associated with poverty all my life, has done me much more harm than one could imagine. Even if I decide to help those around me, I will not do so forever. I hope that the government creates an enabling environment for everyone to thrive and fend for themselves. No one deserves to suffer to earn a living and that cannot be achieved in a healthier country.

As I am the last child in the family, I am not comfortable with the things that happen in the country. My siblings and loved ones do not deserve to suffer like I have suffered in my life. My siblings deserve the best, they deserve to eat what they want, not what I can afford.

Will there come a day when I will marry someone's daughter, put her through unimaginable hardships and that will be called taking responsibility? There is clearly something wrong with my mindset. And I meant it!

I love reading books and writing so I decided to enroll in the inevitable Star Search Theatre Academy in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria and I came out of the higher grades as a screenwriter. I write movies for different production companies in Nigeria but the salary is very low and sometimes I get paid half and when I ask for the remaining money, it becomes a problem. I tell myself that I can’t go on like this and I use my personal money to come to the production and when things get tough for me, sometimes I don’t see money to eat for the whole month. I decide to look for another alternative.

I worked as a security staff in different hotels.

I also worked in laundry until I got to know about Hive through my friend @ovey10. I heard about it several times and developed an interest. He put me in class and listening to his teachings was very enjoyable. I am 32 years old and still struggling to make a living. Since I am the last child in the family, I don’t want to become a problem for them so I decided to look for something good for myself. I am very happy to be here, I will do my best because this is my place.

I think there is a life change here. I always pray to be able to create content one day and I thank God for being here to make it much better. Thank you very much.
