Hello everyone, how are you all? Welcome to my new post about X-Men '97: Episode 7. This episode was released on 24th of this month. In my previous post, I talked about Episode 6 of X-Men '97. Also, you can find review posts of all previous episodes on my blog. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, X-Men '97 is one of Marvel's animated shows that released on March 20th, with a total of 10 episodes, one released every week. Only 3 episodes left. Each episode is full of thrilling moments and an intricate story that weaves throughout.

Anyway, let's get to the main story. Here, I will give some spoilers about this episode. Those who haven't seen it can skip this post.

This episode is called "Bright Eyes". It shows several phenomena. First, Rogue seeks revenge for Gambit's murder. Second, the X-Men team is worried about the events on Genosha. Third, Jubilee and Robert inform Robert's family that he is a mutant. The fourth event is the arrival of a new villain.

In this episode, we see the X-Men and their friends attend Gambit's funeral. Nightcrawler, playing Priest, talks about how Remy had boundless faith in his potential but was blind to his own. A life of crime haunted him.

This entire episode focuses on the rogue character. We see that he is not at the funeral; Instead, he is attacking a military post demanding the location of Gyrich and Trask. This episode especially shines because it explores Rogue's self-destructive reaction to Gambit and Magneto's deaths

In search of information about Bastion, Rogue travels to the lawless island nation . Here, he encounters an amazing figure - Captain America. However, this Captain America seems wary and suspicious of mutants.

However, the episode ends with a chilling twist. Trask, revealed as a cyborg, transforms into a Prime Sentinel, a new and deadly evolution of the Sentinel. The episode ends with these Prime Sentinels defeating the captured mutants, leaving their fate uncertain and setting the stage for a thrilling showdown in the season finale. And this is where another Marvel superhero, Cable, appears. Only the son of Cyclops. And once more towards the end, another twist reveals that Magneto is not dead yet. He is held captive by another villain named Bastion. And the episode ends here.

A few things I felt should have been made clearer, like how did Magneto survive? How did Bastion arrest him? Because Rogue, Nightcrawler, and other mutants were there after that incident. Bastion's role should have been clarified. In these total 7 episodes, we have not seen any direct villain fight with the Team X-Men. And the villains are not shown that way.

Anyway, let's see what happens in the next 3 episodes. I liked the last 10 minutes of the total 32-minute episode. What did you think of the episode? Let us know in the comments below.
