Review of 'The Expendables 2 movie

Hello, Hivers! I hope everyone is doing well. Today, I will provide my personal review of another movie and share a short spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet. You have understood everything by looking at the name of the post. The name of the movie is The Expendables 2. I hope many of here have seen it already. It was released in 2012. And it's a sequel to the 2010 film The Expendables. Average rating of this movie on IMDB. It's a must-watch for action movie enthusiasts, featuring a star-studded cast of legendary Hollywood action heroes. Check out the cast list of this movie by just searching once ,you'll find all the top names from Hollywood here. But only Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham will get the main attention here. And out of the 3 sequels of Expendables so far, Part 2 is my favourite.
Each sequel to the "Expendables" franchise introduces new action heroes. In this movie, you'll find a perfect blend of story, action, drama, friendship, and intense fight scenes.

Now coming to the story, the movie starts with a bang, where Barney Ross and his team of newbies go on a mission to Nepal to rescue a kidnapped person. The fights in this part of the story are pretty good. Here Barney Ross is wounded by some Nepalese forces and Billy The Kid shows off his sniper skills to save them. After that, everyone leaves on Barney Ross's plane. Here is a fight scene of the plane. At one point Yin Yang (Jet Li) leaves with the kidnapped person. Jet Li's character is featured here for a very short time.

The main story begins after this, This time, the Expendables are hired by the mysterious Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) to retrieve a package from a plane that crashed in Albania. The package is a computer containing the location of a hidden stash of plutonium. And here Maggie (Nan Yu) joins the Expendables. And he is a computer expert who can decrypt the data.

And here appears the legendary hero Jean-Claude Van Damme. But here he played the role of villain and in this movie his name is Jean Vilain. And this is where Jean-Claude Van Damme portrays the character very well. Jean-Claude Van Damme is seen giving very few speeches in the entire movie.

Here Jean Vilain kills Billy The Kid along with all the Expendables. And from here the Expendables vow revenge and set out to stop the villain and his team from selling the plutonium to the highest bidder.

Spoiler alert

The rest of the movie is a non-stop barrage of explosions, gunfights and hand-to-hand combat. Action scenes are well choreographed and entertaining. At one point the Expendables was joined by Arnold Schwarzenegger. And here he uses his famous saying "I am back". At the end, the entire Expendables team and Jean Vilain's team fight. Jean Vilain and Barney Ross have a huge fight. In the end, Barney Ross brings Jean Vilain's head as revenge for killing The Kid and as proof of killing Jean Vilain.

In this movie, Barney Ross and Lee Christmas have great chemistry as the leaders of the Expendables, and Schwarzenegger and Willis have fun cameos as fellow action heroes. Some viewers may dislike the movie because Barney Ross and Lee Christmas receive more screen time than other Expendables, and the script and dialogue for many characters are limited, which could have been improved. Overall, everything else about the movie is quite good.

Only those who love action movies can watch it. The time will pass quite well but don't expect too much in terms of plot or character development. Another sequel of this movie will be released on September 22, 2023 this year. For those who haven't seen its trailer, check it out.
