After Kengan Ashura, Netflix's recently released Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf Season 1 is my favorite anime series. Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf Season 1 is a perfect animation series in my opinion for those who like fighting type enemy series like me. The story of this animation is taken from manga series like Baki and Kengan Ashura. Season 1 of this animation series was released on Netflix in May. And currently it has a rating of 6.2/10 on IMDB. not bad It has a total of 8 episodes in season 1. And the timing of each episode is between 23 to 26 minutes. The series delves into various traditional and modern Japanese martial arts styles, reflecting the rich and diverse martial arts culture of Japan.

The story of this animation series is very simple. The story of this series revolves around the Kodoku tournament, a brutal competition that attracts the best fighters. The main hero of this series is Juzo Fujimaki. Juzo Fujimaki's image is featured in the movie poster. He is a fighter. He fights in the Takemiya Ryu style. And everyone respects him for this style and calls him a fighting hero. And Juzo Fujimaki thinks that Takemiya Ryu fighting style is the best. And to prove it, he is always ready to fight.

😎

He was recruited into the Kodoku tournament by a trap. Even Juzo Fujimaki was selected to participate in the Kodoku tournament without informing him that he was made to fight many other fighters. And he wins every one. Ah: Which you will understand after watching the series. Juzo Fujimaki basically has a nasty past. And that's why he's a convict and that's why he's running away. In this series, you can see a very beautiful story, the story of love, the story of blaming yourself for the past, the story of keeping your education alive, the story of honor, the story of being the best.

The fighting styles shown in the series were very realistic. One thing Garouden gets right is the fight choreography. The action is brutal and unforgiving, showcasing the raw power of these martial artists. The Takemiya style, Juzo's fighting discipline, is visually striking, with its emphasis on throws and joint locks. And especially its sound effects were adding to the realistic vibe. Which I honestly didn't get in the Kengan Ashura series. And in the fighting scenes shown in the series, no special powers are used, all that is natural fighting. And its episodes are arranged in such a way that you cannot understand the story of this series unless you watch all 8 episodes.

😎

The animation is top-tier, with fluid and detailed fight sequences that capture the brutality and beauty of martial arts. The character designs are distinct and memorable, each reflecting their unique personalities and fighting styles. The characters' personal struggles and moral dilemmas add depth to the intense action sequences, making the series a captivating watch. But along with this, I have noticed some downsides of the series such as not giving much screen time to the opponent. All focus was on Juzo Fujimaki. At least Juzo Fujimaki's final opponent Tsutomu Himekawa should have been given more screen time.

However, I like it a lot. Hope many of you have seen or will see it. Share your opinion in the comments.
