Review o f The X-Men 97 Episode 1 .

Even though I am a child of the 90s, I haven't seen any cartoons of the 90s. I shouldn't say I didn't watch it at all, because I watched cartoons from that era when they were later reruns on Cartoon Network. Such as Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, The Ren & Stimpy Show, The Powerpuff Girls, Tom and Jerry etc. Many have not seen it like me. Or the kids of today will not enjoy watching cartoons of that time. Because at that time animation, voice noises were not so clear as now. But it was good. So a series that ended that time called X-Men has been brought back again with new episodes. The X-Men animated series began in 1992 and ended in 1997. On March 20, 2024, a new episode of X-Men was released on Disney+, titled X-Men 97. Because these new episodes are being done with the story after 1997. And the video quality of these new episodes, Voyage has been done like it was in 97. In order to relate it to the cartoons of the time.

This animated show will have a total of 10 episodes as far as I know. So on the 20th, its 2 episodes were released on Disney+. It has an IMDB rating of 9 so far. That is very good. So I watched the first episode several times. I like it a lot. I will give some spoilers about the story of the first episode. No need to read this post if anyone hasn't seen it yet.

The total timing of the episode is 30 minutes. As soon as the episode begins, the name of the episode is revealed which is TO ME, MY X-MAN. The episode begins with Pea TV showing that Professor Charles has been killed. It is then shown that a boy who is a mutant is being captured by some antimutant group. After that, a group of X-Men came there. And their team leader is Cyclops. But the weapons the antimutants were using were made with Sentinels technology. Sentinels are a type of robot designed to directly capture or fight mutants. However, the X-MAN team then brings the boy to Xavier's Institute where all the mutants live. Then they started to find out how those people got these Sentinels technology weapons?

They then find out that the professor who killed Charles knows about it but doesn't want to tell the X-MAN team. So here Jean Gray uses her findings to find out that a person named Trask who previously created these Sentinels robots to kill mutants is doing these things. The X-MAN team then locates Trask and destroys many of Trask's Sentinels robots. Later in the story, the X-MAN team played basketball together when someone broke into Professor X's room. And he is none other than Magneto. Magneto tells Cyclops that Professor Charles bequeathed everything to him, so he owns everything from now on. And here the episode ends.

I have expressed the whole story in just a few lines. There are many more stories in this that you won't understand without seeing them. I have watched it about 5 times. And looking at it, you may think that you have seen many things before, such as the story of the Sentinels robot that we are seeing in the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie. We see the story of mutants and antimutants in many places in Logan and Dark Phoenix. Like this. You will not feel any kind of boring.
