The movie "Hereditary" is one of the best horror movies of Hollywood, and Toni Collette, one of the main characters, has won many awards for her performance. If you want to know the meaning of the name of this movie, you can search it, and you will find that "Hereditary" means the transfer of genes and genetic characteristics from parent to child, which is exactly what is shown in this movie.

The movie follows a family who have been worshiping a demon named King Paimon for generations. And King Paimon is one of the 8 kings of demons. King Paimon is a boy king. He can only possess any boy. If he is possessed by a girl, King Paimon will cut off the girl's head. And this thing is shown in detail in this movie. The total of 4 members of that family were Annie Graham, Annie's husband Steve, their son Peter and their younger daughter Charlie. But not everyone in that family knew about this. Annie's mother Ellen knew about this and used to do this worship. And Ellen is shown dead in the beginning of this movie. But everyone in this Graham family is entwined with various problems. Which is shown in everyone's behavior. Ellen initially tried to get King Paimon to possess her son, but her son found out about this and committed suicide. But Annie knew that her mother worshiped demons. So he kept his sons and daughters away from him. But Ellen first possessed herself by King Paimon. After Ellen died, King Paimon possessed Charlie. Charlie later possesses Annie and finally Peter was possessed by King Paimon.

Except for Peter, King Paimon has cut off the heads of those whom he possessed. And all this happened after Ellen died. After Ellen died, Charlie's behavior began to change. Peter takes Charlie to a party with his friends at his mother's request. But accidentally due to Charlie's breathing problem when peter was bringing him home in the car, Charlie's head was separated from his body by hitting home with a pole. Grieving the loss of Charlie, Annie goes to a committee to deal with her trauma but there she meets a woman who was Ellen's girlfriend and who also worshiped King Paimon. But eventually Annie finds out about it. And mother finds Ellen's strangled body above her house. When she told this to her husband and Charlie burned the sketchbook and threw it into the fire for a dollar, her husband accidentally caught fire and died there. And then King Paimon entered Ellen's body. And at that time Peter came and saw his father's burnt body and Ellen planned to kill him. When Peter goes to hide in Ellen's room, he finds several naked bodies standing there. Annie cut her own head at that time. Peter saw all this and jumped out of the room. Moments later peter sees her dead body floating towards their wooden house. When Peter goes there, he finds many naked corpses standing there, and in one place King Paimon is being worshipped. Peter sat there and the strangled corpses put a crown on his head as King Paimon finally entered Peter's body. And the decapitated bodies were all members of Graham's family. And now this movie ends.

The movie focuses heavily on Annie, Peter, and Charlie. Their performances are truly amazing, especially Charlie, whose innocence slowly turns into something eerie and supernatural as the story progresses. Annie's grief and struggle to connect with her children, as well as Peter's journey into darkness, are portrayed exceptionally well.
