Blue Beetle movie review .

I was super excited for this movie, and finally, I got to watch it! Yes, I'm talking about the new DC Comics character movie, Blue Beetle. It's a part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and it came out on August 18, 2023. The movie was directed by Ángel Manuel Soto and written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer. Have you heard of Blue Beetle before? He's a cartoon character who's also been in some of the animated movies / series of Team Titan. I really like the character especially for his blue robotic suit. And his amazing fighting skills. And this Blue Beetle has its own intelligence. He can talk to his selected or carried character. And the beautiful thing is that we get to see all this in this movie.

The story of the movie is all about a blue alien scarab which comes to Earth. This alien scarab is a sentient being of its own, chooses its host by itself, and equips its host with a suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers. For this he fights to save his family and change his fate forever and he becomes the superhero known as Blue Beetle. In the full movie the hero calls the alien scarab as Khaji Da.

At the start of the movie, we see how the scarab arrives on Earth and learn about its history. Then, we meet Jaime Reyes, the main hero. He came back to his hometown and family after finishing his graduation and finds out his family is going through tough times. To help out, he and dis sister works at Victoria Kord's house. That's where he meets Jenny Kord, who's connected to the scarab's story. Jenny's dad was Blue Beetle before but for an unknown reason he disappeared somewhere and never came back. Victoria Kord is Jenny's aunt,who originally played the role of the villain in this movie. She wants to make a big weapon using a chip called OMAC. Jaime gets involved with the scarab by accident and becomes the Blue Beetle. But But Victoria Kord captures Jaime Reyes to take control of this alien scarab and transfer the alien scarab's power to Carapax's body but eventually Jaime Reyes returns from the dead and Jaime Reyes fights with Carapax as Blue Beetle and defeats him.

I have described the entire story of the movie very shortly and You will understand the whole things after watching the movie. The best part of the movie is Jaime Reyes' family. They stick together when things get tough, and that's a great lesson about family. And there are many emotional scenes .

On the bad side, I don't like the villain of this movie at all. The whole movie has more family themes. The fight scenes are not well presented. Poor dialogue. The CGI is fairly standard.

So this is it. I found the movie average. Since the movie is pretty new, many people haven't seen it yet. Don't worry, there's no adult scenes and no bloody scenes in the movie, so it's safe for a family movie. If you're a big fan of DC and want a fun movie to enjoy with friends or family, this could be a good choice. It might not have the most unique story, but it's still entertaining.
