Movies & TV Shows Community Highlight #779
Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.
The Details
Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.
There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

For some time now, the problem of the MCU is the obligatory need to connect an entire universe or that its productions become a bridge for what should be more important stories and "Echo" is the latest victim of this practice; just the miniseries that introduced Maya Lopez, also suffered slightly from that problem by having the introduction of "Kingpin" in the MCU, now that same character completely overshadows this erratic account of Maya's past, beliefs and ancestors; it turns into an excuse the story of a heroine who represents two communities with little participation in the world of comics, it minimizes it in one more step for what will be the long-awaited series (not for me) "Daredevil: Born Again."

1408 is a very interesting and even ambitious concept as it wants to transmit fear indirectly without any kind of entity, murderer, etc., however, this idea is half-worked because it does not fully exploit it, ergo, the Final redemption loses strength because the character is not well known, so it is easy to lose interest. It is for all of the above that it deserves 3 stars out of 7, it has an interesting premise that undoubtedly entertains but nothing beyond that.

Personally, although I'm not much of a fan of violent scenes, I really enjoy watching the sequence of blows in the action scenes, such as the fight and the melee, an area where the protagonist Jason Statham stands out quite well, especially when that desire is driven by revenge, in order to see his daughter safe and sound, he will be able to face the devil himself if necessary.

Also, I was kinda fed up with Hayao Miyazaki (The founder of Ghibli's studio), the man who cried retired. He has been saying that years ago and yet he still continues making movies. However, people have been saying good things about this one and claimed that it's really gonna be his last and final masterpiece before he's truly retiring.

When the baddies come to meet the villagers, their attire is very Nazi-inspired, and to be honest, what sci-fi show doesn't take inspiration from the Nazis, they're one of the evilest forces in our recent history, and in fairness to them, were one of the best-dressed forces - thanks to Hugo Boss.

Throughout the film interesting contents are presented such as the symbolism of the red panda that represents the monster that we all carry inside: fear, rebellion, thirst for revenge, which is important to learn to channel and that to the extent that we accept it we can handle it, finding in it a more balanced self that not only responds to what others expect and want from us, but also to the "I am".

I could go in details to share my thoughts about each mate on the main crew but that would only make a too long read so, I'll say every character played their part well. From one villain (bad pirate) to another, making every adventure in each episode exciting to see.

And we also become investigators trying to investigate what is happening and more when we see that Maya confronts the nanny about what appears in the video of her dead husband being at the house and she sprays pepper spray in his face, runs away and hides and later we see her deleting this video, ah! Because when the nanny runs away, she stole the card with the recording where the deceased appears very much alive.

The film's genre is action. Having said that, do not expect to see impressible gunshots, cars flying in the air and such. There are some simple action scenes but not unrealistic effects. I would characterize the film more as mystery, light thriller, with a few comic elements. The movie starts interestingly, and is keeping the interest / suspense of the viewer. Especially if you have not read the story (like me when I saw it), the interest is sparkled often in the first 3 quarters of the movie.

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend it 100%, it is a very original script that has many surprises that are uncovered throughout the story. Regarding the inclusion of people of different traits is one of the best and nothing forced, in fact they have the luxury of making racist jokes and they do not look bad because its protagonists and other secondary characters have very distinctive features of all continents. It is a comedy that plays the theme of the afterlife, and although it is nothing like the ideas of the different religions, I find this new human point of view about heaven and hell interesting.

I saw this movie specifically because, as a child I had a time when I loved Winnie Pooh, but from one day to another I dreamed that he was under my bed and wanted to scare me, from that day I started to be very afraid of him and I did not want to know anything about him, literally my mother had to throw away everything there was of this character, because he gave me an incredible fear. When I saw this movie, I imagined my little self knowing that this movie existed, I would surely cry from fear and I couldn't sleep alone in my bed HAHAAHAHA. Since I was little I knew that Winnie the pooh had bad intentions.

The film obviates many circumstances of the actual story, perhaps to focus on more straightforward, narrative aspects. A lot of what Eric and Dylan were really about was missing, plus certain new things were added to their relationship. Sant took it to a more minimalist setting, but just as raw. Tension abounds; it's one of those films that makes you anxious, not in a good way. Even though you know what's going to happen, you feel like there's an eternity in the lead-up to the trigger.
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
Hey, thank you very much for the support and mention, this community is amazing, I will try to participate more often...
Thank you! It's in a fun period of growth now that we can actually grow the community account and improve the curation in a more independent manner. I'm really excited for the future due to that.
The OCD incubation helped a lot of people get curated, but I don't think it helped the community itself actually gain any strength on its own due to the rules it had. Some reasonable, some myself and I noticed others not-so-publicly disagreed with.
But for the most part, the community is people that just post and engage, we can only do so much to encourage and support that. :)
