REPORTING

This photo was captured on Wednesday. This is me discussing my topic in front of my classmates and teacher. I will tell you the truth: back then when I was in high school, I was afraid of reporting and public speaking. I am a shy type of person who hates to be in front of anyone. When you think of me, you say, “Maybe she doesn’t have a friend.” But no, I have friends, but I would rather be alone sometimes. But as time goes by and I grow older, I realize how important it is to communicate, have friends, and be confident enough to face people. Now, I am trying to enhance myself, which is why I chose the course education to help me with what and so that I could be more than I am today.

On Thursday, since this week we don’t have a regular class, we are having an online class on two of our subjects. When I was done with my first online class, my three classmates told me that they would be visiting me at my house because they are in the school and we don’t have class for our second subject, so they decided to be at my house for the third subject as well. When they arrived, they simply rested for awhile, and then we went out to have some fresh air with my nieces.

While we wait for our online class, we just watch a movie called “The Lorax." Lorax means the guardian of the forest. This movie is about how important trees are and how we should take good care of them. I really like this movie, as it has a lesson not just for the young generation but for all people as well. This movie will teach us what will happen to our planet or to our environment when we cut down trees. I suggest you try to watch it for you to be able to know the whole story and I promise that you will like this movie, plus you can learn a lot from it. Back to the topic, as we waited, our teacher told me through messenger that we would start our class at 2 p.m.

Before our third subject, I tested my network to see if it was lagging or not, but it wasn’t. So when it started, this was the time we had an online class, and my group would be reporting that time. I was confused because my network started to lose. It was a disaster; my network became unstable. It takes an hour before we start our report because of the network. I say that online classes are hard, especially when you don’t have a proper connection, but thankfully we were able to successfully deliver our report with the help of my group mates.

On Friday, since we don’t have class, I continue to make my project, which is a Paper Mache. If you want to make one of these, I will put below what I used and how I made it. (Its from our Teacher).

Things I use:
-old newspaper or any waste paper
-2 or more Zoy Instant Starch
-Water
-mixing container
-Paintbrush or your hands for applying
-A base for your model (balloons, cardboard, etc.)

Steps to Follow:

  1. Prep Your Area: Cover your workspace with old newspapers to keep it clean. Paper Mache can be messy!
  2. Rip Up Some Paper: Tear your newspapers into strips. They don’t have to be perfect, just easy to work with.
  3. Make the Glue: In a bowl, mix one part flour with two parts water until it’s smooth like glue. Adjust the thickness with a
little more water or flour if needed.
  4. Choose Your Base: Decide what you’re making. A balloon? Some cardboard shapes? This will be the skeleton of your
    project.
  5. Paper Time: Dip the strips into your flour glue, wipe off the excess, and stick them onto your base. Overlap them for
strength. Put on a few layers, but let them dry a bit between layers.
  6. Dry It Out: Now, wait. Your creation needs to dry completely, which might take a day or two. It’s ready when it’s hard to
    the touch.
  7. Decorate: Paint your project however you like. Get creative with colors and designs!
  8. Seal (Optional): If you want it extra sturdy, seal it with a mix of glue and water or some craft varnish.

I decided to make Paper Mache hot air balloon, and I find them to be incredibly easy to make and fun to work on. However, at the same time I find it difficult to make the bottom part, which resembles a basket, because I don't have enough materials. Instead, I just find things around the house to use, and when I paint it, my niece keeps bothering me, and the brush I use is old, so it gets messy. and I had to figure out another way to hide the mess my nieces make when I paint my Paper Mache, by covering it with cotton. I know this is not an exquisite type of project and I openly admit that I am not good at designing this project, I still try my best to make it look good and to design it in the way that I want and what I imagine. Making it will take some time, but once you do, I'm sure you'll be happy with the outcome.

You have made it to the end of my blog. Thank you for taking some time to read my blog. I hope you enjoyed reading it and I also hope that we continue to support each other by commenting, upvoting, and reblogging. Thank you so much, everyone.😊

I love the movie that you watched Ma'am @miss-shen The Lorax. I watch it many times already because my son also loves it. It is full of lessons.
