Hola comunidad y cinéfilos ! Este es mi primer post en esta linda comunidad! Me presento soy Mily y el día de hoy les traigo una reseña y un fan- art de una película que ví hace poco y me sorprendió gratamente , con una mezcla de comedia de terror que está bastante interesante!

Sinopsis
Cómo un homenaje a la novela de Frankenstein de Mary Shelley, está comedia de terror muestra la vida de Lisa quien perdió a su madre en circunstancias bastante horribles y quién lidia ahora con los problemas de adaptarse a la normalidad viviendo con su padre ,madrastra y hermanastra , la cosa es que Lisa es bien rarita, de hecho tiene un Crush con la estatua que adorna la tumba de un difunto joven victoriano ,el cuál luego de una tormenta eléctrica bastante aparatosa , el cadáver del joven termina cobrando vida y volviéndose en el proyecto de Lisa para lo que sería una especie de compañero ideal .

Me recomendaron esta peli,y lo que esperaba era una especie de Monster High , o Zombie de Disney, no saben la grata sorpresa que me lleve cuando la vi , sinceramente no era lo que me esperaba , algo tan fresco e icónico, está situada en los 80's lo que la convierte en un Film que intenta ambientar y traer un poco de ese humor y esencia de las películas de esos tiempos,lograndolo bastante bien ,desde la elección de vestuarios hasta las tomas, todo tiene un estilo muy característico que me recordó bastante a la icónica Heathers .Tiene tanta atención al detalle con una coloración y tomás tan bonitas de esos años ,pero mezclado con algunos elementos más estéticos y modernos como los juegos de luces neón que se ven tanto en las películas actuales ,otro punto a favor es la edición ,desde la historieta del intro hasta el sueño de Lisa son escenas muy bellas .

Tenemos a Lisa quien ha sufrido un trauma muy grande al perder a su madre en un acontecimiento horrible ,y viviendo con su padre que parece haber superado con bastante rapidez la muerte de su esposa ,y una hermanastra aspirante a reina de belleza, porrista y srta,popularidad que parecer ser todo lo que Lisa no es , y una madrastra digna de un cuenta de hadas (porqué es una bruja 🥲).

Todo esto te hace tener mucha empatía con Lisa pero mientras todo cambia con la aparición de este muerto viviente ? Zombie ? Proyecto Frankenstein? , Vemos como va subiendo su confianza y saliendo a explotar una Lisa que de inocente no tiene nada , de hecho a mi parecer Lisa parce ser la que termina manipulando a su zombie ? Para de alguna forma ir deshaciéndose de todo aquello que la molesta🌚, y ese descenso a la locura de Lisa es espectacular.

Me gustó como usaron los recursos siendo que el zombie(Cole Sprouse) no puede “hablar y comunicarse” aún así lograron que se captará esa relación y química que se va formando entre ambos , y algo que me gustó es que apesar de ser una “comedia romántica” aquí realmente pese a ser el hilo conductor que pone la vida de Lisa patas arriba, aún así la que sigue destacando en todo momento es ella y sus conflictos ,más que todo para mí el Romance queda como una historia secundaria.

La hermana siendo súper doble cara y este típico personaje que se es muy agradable pero realmente es más pasivo-agresiva y siempre hace sentir mal a todos, en conjunto con la madrastra (Carla Gugino) que sabemos que es una actriz increíble e icónica en producciones de Mike Flanagan y que me encantó verla aquí, su personaje es más agresiva que pasiva , también me encantaron con su relación algo tensa, al que odie fue al padre jajaja demasiado despreocupado y ajeno a todo.

En fin , se las recomiendo mucho , si les gusta este estilo , al parecer ha pasado algo desapercibido debido a la falta de publicidad ,pero aún así está buena para un fin de semana, creo que está actriz Kathryn Newton, está en camino de ser una Reina de las películas de terror/horror , su actuación en Freaky ,o "Este cuerpo me sienta de muerte" nombrada en español , fue muy buena (la cuál también se las recomiendo, es sobre una chica que cambia de cuerpo con un asesino serial ) y por el tráiler de su próxima película Abigail también perece prometer mucho.

Y algo que amé y como pueden ver en mi fan- art fue el uso del estilo gotico en el cambio de Lisa y que de verdad que este estilo nunca pasará de moda, yo de verdad amaba cada vestuario ,uno detrás del otro 💜.

We have Lisa who has suffered a very great trauma by losing her mother in a horrible event, and living with her father who seems to have overcome the death quite quickly his wife, and a stepsister aspiring to be a beauty queen, cheerleader and miss, popular who seems to be everything Lisa is not, and a stepmother worthy of a fairy tale (because she is a witch 🥲).

The sister being super double-faced and this typical character who is very nice but is really more passive-aggressive and always makes everyone feel bad, along with the stepmother (Carla Gugino) who we know is an incredible and iconic actress in Mike Flanagan productions and I loved seeing her here, her character is more aggressive than passive,I also loved them with their somewhat tense relationship, the one I hated was the father hahaha, he was too carefree and oblivious to everything.
