Hola hiver's, y cinéfilos, hoy les traigo una reseña de la película Abigail ,que estuvo generando mucha expectativas desde su trailer ,y que ya podemos disfrutar , hace unos días al fín pude verla y debo decir que no es nada lo que imagine pero aún así no me decepcionó, así que sin más les dejo la reseña.

Sinopsis
Abigail es una pequeña bailarina, hija de un hombre de negocios muy adinerado ,por lo que un grupo de secuestradores se unen en equipo para raptarla y pedir un rescate de 50 millones de dólares que les resolverá la vida, mientras vigilan a la niña esperando que pase la noche , empiezan a ocurrir situaciones cada vez más extrañas, al parecer estos delincuentes pronto serán cazados uno a uno, por quien menos esperan.

La verdad había visto una que otra noticia de esta película ,y me tenía interesada , pasando de ver freaky y Lisa Frankenstein, me interese por el trabajo de Kathryn Newton, y ví que en el cast también participaban Melissa Barrera que ya también se está haciendo un nombre en películas de terror, también siendo una de las últimas películas de Angus Cloud grabó antes de su deceso ,y añadiendo una participación de Giancarlos Esposito ,pues si me había generado cierto interés, definitivamente no fue lo que intérprete de que se trataría , pensé que Abigail trataría mucho más acerca de una niña endemoniada o algo así , con un tono mucho más oscuro y de terror / terror , y la película no es eso ,lo cual la verdad no me desagrado para nada , teniendo un tono que roza la comedia , me recordó mucho a freaky ,o tal vez a the Babysitter que es también muy buena, eso si con unas imágenes bien gores ,en dónde sangre y sangre es lo que más se verá .🩸

Bien comencemos con el grupo de inadaptados que serán los secuestradores, tenemos el típico grupito en dónde está un líder egocéntrico y que a leguas se le nota que lo que le falta de moral le sobra en ambición (Dan Stevens), tenemos a la "niñera" de la secuestrada que le aporta el corazón, en este caso(Melissa Barrera) , un conductor medio desastroso que no tiene idea en dónde se está metiendo ( Angus cloud) , uno súper fuerte y no muy inteligente(Kevin Durand) , una chica hacker y mimada que parece hacer todo por diversión (Kathryn Newton), y un francotirador(William Catlett), todos convocados con la tarea de secuestrar a una niña (Alisha Weir) hija de un millonario y extorsionarlo, la tarea es secuestrarla ,vigilarla toda la noche y esperar el rescate en la mañana e irse con sus millones y vivir felices por siempre 🥲 lamentablemente no es lo que pasa.

Todo la situación se empieza a irse de las manos, peleas entre ellos, tensiones, algunos quieren irse, otros quieren continuar, pero cuando se dan cuenta que la niña no es quien parece ser ya es demasiado tarde, ellos mismos han sido encerrados con nada más que un vampiro...🦇

The truth is I had seen some news about this movie,and it had me interested, going from watching freaky and Lisa Frankenstein, I became interested in the work of Kathryn Newton, and I saw that the cast also included Melissa Barrera, who is also making a name for herself in horror films, Also being one of the last films Angus Cloud recorded before his death, and adding a participation by Giancarlos Esposito, because it had generated some interest in me, It was definitely not what I thought it would be about, I thought Abigail would be much more about a demon girl or something, with a much darker and horror/horror tone, and The truth is I didn't dislike it at all, it has a tone that borders on comedy, it reminded me a lot of Freaky, or maybe The Babysitter which is also very good, That is with some very gory images, where blood and gore is what will be seen the most.🩸

Well let's start with the group of misfits who will be the kidnappers, we have the typical little group where there is an egocentric leader and you can clearly see that what he lacks in morals he has more than enough in ambition (Dan Stevens), we have the "nanny" of the kidnapped girl who brings her heart, in this case (Melissa Barrera), a half-disastrous driver who has no idea what he's getting into (Angus cloud), a super strong and not very smart one (Kevin Durand), a spoiled hacker girl who seems to do everything for fun (Kathryn Newton), and a sniper (William Catlett), all summoned with the task of kidnapping a girl (Alisha Weir) daughter of a millionaire and extort him, the task is to kidnap her, watch her all night and wait for the ransom in the morning and leave with his millions and live happily ever after 🥲 Unfortunately that is not what happens.

Cuando estaba comentando esta película con mi amiga me dijo "la versión sangrienta de Angelina Ballerina" y me vino a la mente esta imagen así que la recreé porque realmente me recuerda a una escena de la película donde la pequeña vampiresa no solo decide decapitar a alguien, sino que va y se pone su mejor ropa de ballet 🩰 y se pone a bailar con su cuerpo decapitado en un pequeño teatro de la mansión donde están, la escena es de por sí demasiado hilarante, horrible y divertida. Esta pequeña vampiriña Ballerina me parece un personaje muy interesante, con arranques berrinchudos como las de un niño, pero claro en vez de un berrinche solo mata a alguien, aunque su historia una niña convertida en un monstruo para ser ella quien le haga el trabajo sucio a su padre, y la historia de está y todo su imperio criminal me dio curiosidad, me gusto que mezclaran todo este mundo criminal con la idea de los vampiros, la actriz que interpretó a la niña fue increíble, también que mostraran las coreografías del ballet tan delicadas siendo una niña la que lo realizaba con las escenas sangrientas pero de manera divertida se veía demasiado perturbador y creo que esa era la idea y por ese lado lo lograron bien.

Algo que no me gusto tanto fue todo este jaleo entre los demás personajes, entiendo que son el hilo que maneja la historia pero a veces se sentían como medios
innecesarios, aunque hay escenas que me dieron risa es porque a estas alturas han habido tantas interpretaciones de los vampiros que es difícil verlos como algo más monstruos y más como lindos adolescentes escarchados a la luz del sol. Me gustó que al final terminas empatizando un poco con Abigail, y toda su historia en ese mundo por culpa de su padre.

Something that I didn't like so much was all this groping between the other characters, I understand that they are the thread that drives the story but sometimes they felt like unnecessary means, Although there are scenes that made me laugh, it's because at this point there have been so many interpretations of vampires that it's hard to see them as anything more monsters/freaks and more like cute teenagers frosted in the sunlight. I liked that in the end you end up empathizing a little with Abigail, and her entire history in that world because of her father.

En conclusión , la verdad está muy entretenida , es una películas de una niña vampiro haciendo de las suyas a un grupo de "malos " que la secuestraron, las escenas pasan de ser muy sangrientas y tener diálogos que están destinados a ser más graciosos y ligeros , no es una obra maestra del terror pero entretiene un rato, divertido para pasar un domingo viendo películas ,y seguro que si te gustan este tipo de pelis más de humor que de terror la vas a disfrutar también.
