The Uncanny Counter - "𝑨𝒏 𝑬𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒎" Series Review

Is it just me or there are just some movies you are left in awe to even start chatting or writing about it?

I know the series is about fantasy and many other things that may not exist in reality but it somehow left me wondering until I got to the last episode. I must commend the user who recommended this series to me, I enjoyed my time on it.

The series reminded me of one I saw like years ago titled "Goblin" and a more recent one I saw titled "A Korean Odyssey". Not a similar story line but it has a similar kinda fantasy tale... About the afterlife, Grim reapers and evil spirits.

This series have a lot of differences to make me love everything about it, the characters, the comedy, the thrills and most importantly, the storyline and what it teaches.

I gave my post title "An encounter that changed the norm" because of this character, the lead guy "So Moon". It's my first time seeing him star in all the Korean series I've seen and he won a fan because I did some research to find more series he has starred on, I'll definitely be seeing more of him henceforth.

For this series, he is a college student who was made to use crutches after am accident that took his parents life but left him alive with a bad left leg. He lived for another seven years thinking he caused the death of his parents until he met with an encounter.

It was an encounter to him after the whole scenes that played out but I feel that encounter was to the spiritual world that got in contact with him. It's amazing how he was able to own the spirit in him even without being in a coma as it was a norm before they contacted him.

After the mysterious encounter, So Moon could walk well which left his family and friends in awe but also made him excited and determined to work as a counter. The series is about a disguised counters whose jobs are to catch and take out evil spirits from the realm of humans.

So Moon is recruited to be one of them after a very unusual encounter with a spirit called Wigen. He is made to learn their ways and also found out along the way that his parents were murdered.

The characters and their different super natural powers made the series more interesting, their plans to capture evil spirits had me on my toes as I kept watching to find out what happens next. I must commend the characters who played the evil spirits role especially the villain, how he played it so well as if he is evil in reality made the drama more real.

I also can't ignore the love So Moon felt from his close friends, his fellow counters and that joy when he met his parents again even though they can't be together like before. The drama was worth seeing and I'll recommend it to anyone who love genres like it. There will be a season two but that was a good end to that season, looking forward to the next season release.

I like K-dramas, I think they have a different way of telling stories and are very interesting. I haven't seen this one you recommend, I'll put it on my list.

Regards.

I think I’ll have to start watching K-Drama again. The only two Korean dramas I’ve seen are the heirs and Pinocchio.
I love your review and the genre because I like watching true crime videos and I think I’ll love this series. I’ll find a way to watch it. Thanks for sharing.
