My Review On "𝐄𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐬" Movie 1 & 2

I know I should be reviewing the movie acted before the release of these two but I'm yet to see it, the one where there was the real detective guy and detecting scenes to see. The movie "Enola Holmes" isn't a follow up of that movie but more about the sister to the detective who everyone loves in that movie.

Enola Holmes, the sister of Sherlock Holmes tells her story... Have you seen the movie "Sherlock Holmes"?

I haven't seen it as I only got to find out it exists after seeing these two parts of "Enola Holmes" . So I didn't follow the right flow for these movies but I still feel cool about seeing these ones first. Will check out "Sherlock Holmes" soon.

So yeah, let's have our focus on this interesting movie and here is my review on both parts.

"Enola Holmes 1" starts with a girl forcing us to believe she's the sister to Sherlock Holmes. I say forcing because it seem like Sherlock is an extraordinary brother to have lol. Well, with evidence and the next scenes, we got to believe she's the sister and got some of her brother's blood running in her.

After her mother went missing and her brothers traveling back home to get her set for marriage, Enola had to decide on her own to find her mother and live the life she wanted rather than the ones others want for her. Meeting a rich family's son whose life was in danger was a great addition to how interesting the movie went from there.

Will she find her mother? What did she had to go through to find her mother? What role did Sherlock played in this movie? You'll have to see the movie to find that out.

The first part was a good one especially with the detective skills from a young girl who is supposed to be learning how to be a true lady for marriage lol. I like how she tells her story to the screen while still acting scenes out, you'll see that on the trailer more.

I also like the teen love sparks between our lead character and rich lad, Lord Tewksbury. The genres which are action, adventure and crime were well packed in the movie with almost nothing lacking from my view. I noticed the eldest brother didn't play much role and also saw how Sherlock was being more emotional towards his sister but tried not to show it.

I find the mystery behind their names being called backwards/forward hilarious. Do check this movie out, I bet you'd love it and I will give it a rating of 9/10.

Seen a second part is as good as the first part or even better? I find it rare as I've only seen a few of them I preferred the second to the first. This is one of them, I'm not saying the first isn't good too. Well, you've seen my rating on the first part but I must say I had a little higher expectations for the second and they didn't fail me.

"Enola Holmes 2" begins with our lead character Enola having a space of her own for her detective work considering that she love using her skills. Unfortunately, there were hardly a job for her until a little girl came asking for her to find a missing girl.

I read that the case she investigated on in this movie was inspired by a true life's event, a group girls being made to work in a hidden away place but fall sick to death from the ingredients they make use of.

Could she save the girls on her own? How did it end with the truth she discover about the missing girl? You'll have to see the movie to find that out.

I find this second part of the movie more thrilling as the case had a lot of roller coaster scenes with some good twists to keep me at the edge of my seat. I like how the case involved the extraordinary detective, Sherlock Holmes.

They didn't fail to bring in the love sparks of our teen now turn young adults on this part too but in a very interesting way with everything helping Enola with her first case to win and get to the root of it.

The movie is a good recommendation I'd give to anyone so long you're one who loves movies with these genres, I'd recommend this second part with a rating of 9/10 as well.

Tell me what you think about this movie if you've seen it before or maybe you've seen "Sherlock Holmes", I'd appreciate your view on them.

I didn't even realise that Enola Holmes was based on a real event. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the second part just as much as I did enjoy the first one. I liked the second one more because Sherlock himself was more involved as opposed to just being more of a figure than a character in the first film.

I wrote the review for the second one about a year ago. I must have given it a similar rating because I remember writing the review with so much enthusiasm, and I consider it to be one of my favorite reviews of all that I have written.

Not the whole movie is based on a real event, just the case she had to investigate on in the second part.

Glad to know we both think same about the second one hehe.
