π¨ πΊππππ & π¨ π³πππ πΊππππ - "Moon In The Day" Series Review
It's as if it's been ages I made a review here, it didn't mean I stopped seeing movies though, I just have been focusing more in clearing up my long watch list while active with other personal activities.
I think I've seen over five series and movies all together in the break I've been away from making reviews and so, you can take this as my comeback to review the ones I've seen while I continue clearing up the list that keeps adding lol.
One of the five I've seen is, "Moon In The Day", A korean series which I'm choosing to review today.
Ever downloaded a movie because of all the hype it gets? I've done that a good number of times and I must say, a lot have been worth the hype and a few, not really. "Moon In The Day" is definitely worth the hype the more I rethink it's scenes and how it all ended... It was worth having it downloaded.
"Moon In The Day" is a 14 episodes series I wish was longer to accommodate more of the love & hate scenes as it was more exciting to see our lead characters dealing with a past hurt without actually thinking it was all love being in control.
The series is a combination of interesting genres "Fantasy, History & Romance", the history in it, I'd say is the lead of all scenes, it took most part of the series until close to the end and believe me when I say I enjoyed it totally that way.
Before I say more, I'll share a bit of the storyline for you to get a hint on the interesting scenes to expect when you decide to see the series as it is definitely going to be worth your time.
The series began with a young and strong warrior slaying a whole village and killing the family of a girl. The girl tries to revenge by killing him while he was asleep but he was faster to harm the girl and held her hostage as his personal maid. She reveals her intention and promises the guy that she will kill him when he begins to see reasons to live.
They both fell in love with each other, got married when the guy's father threatened them and as he said planned to have his son killed during a battle, the girl decided to save her husband by killing his father. This act led to a lot more people dying and she realized her mistake, killed her husband and committed suicide.
The girl kept reincarnating with the boy watching her in his ghost form finding ways to kill her so he could stop the reincarnation until her 19th life where the main scenes to complete the storyline began.
Did he kill the girl? Was she the only one who kept reincarnating? What was their love like when he kept trying to kill the girl?
These are some things to be curious about in the series and there are more things to look forward to.
I can't write about this series and not mention how much I love Kim Young-Dae acting, he is the main lead of the series. The powerful warrior who died by the hands of his lover and got the fate of killing his lover in her 19th reincarnation.
His expressions when he is angry, in love, pissed, happy and scared are all priceless. I'd say he is the "King of expressions" until I see another who is better than him lol.
I got to know him from the series "Penthouse (War in life)" and then in "Shooting Stars" where he gave flawless actings with memorable scenes and comedy. He knows how to keep his audience entertained and I give him a big thumbs up anytime I think of scenes he starred in.
And back to the series, I don't think I have any issues with any part of it aside the too many throwbacks and suspension which I think made the storyline more exciting until the end. And I also can't say it has the best ending I wished it had, not a sad ending but it could have been happier than it did.
In any case, I enjoyed my time on this series for more reasons than mentioned and I'll rate it a 8/10, highly recommended by me. Do tell me in the comment section what you think about the review, would you see the series soon?

It has been a long time since I watched "Korean", I am going to watch this.
You'll love this one, enjoy your time watching it.
Honestly, sometimes I find Korean series to be annoying so I am mostly not able to watch the whole show. They just be going back and forth the whole timeπ
Lol this series is one of those back and forth own π
So why then did you watch it. This woman!π
Lol it's that back and forth I like na π€£
Lol... I was having a laugh when I read the first paragraph of this post because that's also the case for me. I played around with my watchlist during the holiday season and I have a lot of k-dramas which I've already watched but yet to write a review about. Haha.
I'm yet to watch this, but it's in my watchlist.
Ever since I saw this lead character in the minor role he played in The Penthouse, I haven't watched him in any other Kdrama. Last year was a breakthrough year for him though. He got lead role in 2 kdramas that I know of.
Nice review π.
Haha it's funny indeed.
You should see this one already, he has improved a lot compared how he was in Penthouse.
Do you also have "shooting stars" in your watchlist? He starred in that one too.
Actually, Shooting Stars is the other Kdrama in which I know he got the lead role. He did that project before getting into Moon in the Day. Haha.
My watchlist is smiling right now, especially with all the new dramas that have been aired recently.
Those recent ones are just sitting around on my watch list, I'm waiting for final episodes before I start seeing them π
The movie's blend of fantasy and love elements has captured my interest, and the storyline is truly captivating. With its intriguing narrative, I find myself drawn in, especially given my fondness for Korean drama. I eagerly anticipate more reviews from you as you continue to work through your movie list.
I'm glad you feel captivated, do see it and let me know what you think about it.
Thank you got looking forward to my reviews.
Alright then
Is this a new one? been a while since I sub to VIU and checking out their series. Will check out this one when I can π
You'll love it, it's a recent release
They just concluded the series π
