"๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ & ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐" - Itaewon Class review
You must have seen those movies where every word said is just what you want to hear in a particular scene.
Or where the character makes the exact face expression you want or walks away in a scene as you've wished they'd do.
I doubt if there's any Korean series that has given me so much satisfaction like "Itaewon Class" in every scene. I'm not about the gratifying end the series gave but I mean, the different scenes that led to an amazing end.
From the poster and hopefully you got the vibe from the title too, "Itaewon Class" is a korean series about the life of some youth who have to face life head on with different reasons to be strong and win to the end.
Having different sad backgrounds especially with the lead character having too much pain from the past, their dreams to be a big establishment in the future is the most inspiring in this series.
It's a 16 episodes long series released in the year 2020 and produced by Jo Joon-hyung.
My three favourite lead characters
What I mean by my favourite, is that these three are responsible for the gratifying feeling I got from every scene they starred in. While they are just acting their roles, I can't help but feel that they are like that in reality considering how natural they played those roles in the series.
My most favourite and best played role in the series is Park Seo-joon as Park Sae Ro Yi. An ex-con who has a long term plan to build his small restaurant to be bigger than the leading restaurant in Korean, owned by a man who is bent on bringing Sae Ro Yi down.
His plans with the 7 years and then 15 years figure is outrageous but his preparation while still in prison and how he worked with people who helped him while causing troubles for him, all that were the highlights for me.
This character kept giving me those chills whenever he does the expressions or say the words I wish he'd say especially to his enemy (the villain) towards his success.
If genius was a person, it'd be Kim Da-mi as Jo Yi Seo and I can't help but smile at the way they introduced her to the series. A young girl with multi talents who finds life boring until she meets Park Sae Ro Yi a guy who seem too determined but not going about things well enough because of lack of knowledge from school setting.
She also fell in love with him and went head on to support him and bring great changes to his restaurant until the end. Her role in the series helped the lead character shine more in giving gratifying scenes for viewers.
It's surprising how I fell for this character instead of the other female lead, I guess the reason will be obvious to you if you see the series. Park Sae Ro Yi would have chosen any of them for love but I like that he chose the second and not his first love.
When you can't get enough from the villain but you also can't wait to see what the protagonist does to win the villain again. The villain in this series, Yoo Jae-myung as Jang Dae-hee contributed greatly to how the lead character played his role in the series and for that, he is an amazing villain.
Seeing him star a villain role after a series where he starred as a cool and average dad, it made me realize again that actors are super talented to have switch in character so easily and act like they are really that way.
This character started the problems the lead character had to face in the series thanks to his son who he tried to protect but the end of him in the series was so gratifying that I was smiling to his downfall lol.
My personal and final thoughts on the series
It's definitely a good watch for any age but youth will find it more inspiring for their dreams and goals regardless of obvious obstacles and unplanned circumstances. The series shows a lot more about how hard it can be starting up a business with competitions around and having people who watches you waiting for your fall.
The series also gave that beautiful show of people have each others back even though they got together from different sides of life. Every character with their own personal story making one beautiful and memorable story for themselves, they call themselves "Itaewon Class"
I'm rating this series a 10/10 and I highly recommend that you see it if you're yet to do that. That rating got higher because of the theme song in the series, I had it downloaded after listening to it twice while watching the series (Talk of a perfect OST). Let me know what you think about my review and give feedbacks if you've seem the series already.

You finally watched it!! Normally in movies, we fall in love with the person the main character loves, but in this movie it was different.
Jo Yi Seo was my favorite character in the movie.
I learned a lot from this movie, it shows that with hard work and persistence, you can achieve anything.
I give it a 10/10 also. What's the title of the theme song?
Yeah, this one was definitely different in many ways. I learnt a lot too.
The title of theme song is "Start"
Okay thanks meritโค
