Durante las protestas en Venezuela, Simón (Christian McGaffney) y sus compañeros son detenidos, siendo víctimas de tortura. Obligado a huir de Venezuela, se convierte en solicitante de asilo y se dirige a Miami. Inmigración le informa de que, una vez obtenido el asilo, no podrá regresar a su país. Simón enfrenta tanto trauma como culpa y debe tomar la decisión de si quedarse en Miami y empezar una nueva vida o volver a su país para enfrentar una tiranía.

Simón es una película que a pesar de que resultó bastante buena, Jamás la volvería a ver... Fueron 99 minutos de revivir emociones inconclusas, recordar tantas perdidas, tantas injusticias, tanto dolor por una causa perdida.
Realmente no hay mucho qué pueda opinar, tenía la piel erizada en muchas escenas. Pensar que muchos pasaron exactamente por la situación de Simón y otros simplemente no tuvieron la oportunidad de empezar de cero, pero lo que si puedo decir es que absolutamente quedamos marcados por esos días tan fríos y llenos de dolor.
Hablando de personajes, pues podría decir que note algo de sobre actuación en varios para el nivel y expectativas de la película. El vocabulario bastante propio del "chamo venezolano".
Solo quedó sangre en las calles, y muchas vidas marcadas, que aún después de tantos años siguen luchando por superar esos días de una victoria que nunca llegó.
Toca dos temas bastante relevantes, las protestas, y la inmigración, una al lado de la otra, buscando un solo objetivo... Una vida mejor!

During the protests in Venezuela, Simón (Christian McGaffney) and his companions are detained and are victims of torture. Forced to flee Venezuela, he becomes an asylum seeker and heads to Miami. Simón is a film that even though it turned out to be quite good, I would never see it again... It was 99 minutes of reliving unfinished emotions, remembering so many losses, so many injustices, so much pain for a lost cause.
There really isn't much I can say, I had goosebumps in many scenes. To think that many went through Simón's exact situation and others simply did not have the opportunity to start from scratch, but what I can say is that we were absolutely marked by those cold and painful days.
Speaking of characters, I could say that I noticed some overacting in several for the level and expectations of the film. The vocabulary quite typical of the "Venezuelan chamo."
There was only blood left in the streets, and many marked lives, which even after so many years continue fighting to overcome those days of a victory that never came.
It touches on two quite relevant topics, protests, and immigration, one next to the other, seeking a single objective... A better life!
Hola amiga, esta película es muy buena y es fascinante todo el trabajo que tuvo que hacer y de esa manera ser reconocida en la gran plataforma de netflix. Más allá de eso es una situación muy frustrante y todo lo que los venezolanos tuvieron que hacer para poder demostrar un cambio y tener que luchar en las calle y en mi caso salí y aún conservo los recuerdos de ese día tan horrible.
Es la película de nuestra historia reciente... Una drama del 2017, y espero, que una manifestación de nuestra realidad contra la dictadura y la violencia que todos vivimos. Pedazo de película.
