Movie Night at the Cinema - The Little Mermaid
It was one of my husband and I's plans to bring our girls to a cinema and let them watch a movie. They have no experience watching a movie in a theater yet until last Saturday.
The Little Mermaid is now showing on Cinemas. I was talking to my husband if we will push through with our plan. I search online for the schedules. There were several malls in the city that showed the said movie. We agreed on going last Saturday night. We haven't told the children about it yet. When my husband arrived from work, we told the girls to get dressed because we were going out to watch The Little Mermaid. They were ecstatic when they heard it!
Before we left the house, we ate dinner to save us from dining out. 😁 The movie schedule was at 8:45PM. The last full show for the day. On our way, we stopped by a grocery store to buy some snacks while watching.
When we reached Ayala Center Cebu, we searched for a parking lot just outside the mall then we went directly to the cinema area on the 4th floor to purchase movie tickets. Prior to heading to Ayala Mall, we told our girls that we were in the mall only for the movie. Nothing else. You know the common scenario at the mall with children, right? 😁
So we had our tickets and we were told we had free popcorn! We just had to claim it at the popcorn booth. We arrived before 8PM which gave us time to do some picture taking while waiting and also claim the popcorn. The ticket booth attendant instructed us that we could get inside the cinema at 8:15PM.
It's time!
Time check, it was past 8:15PM. People were starting to get inside Cinema 4 and so we were also heading in the same direction. The cinema attendant checked our tickets and off we went inside to find our seats. It was not hard finding it. After we settled down, we took a groupie in the dark. 😂
Reminds Me of my Childhood!
The animated The Little Mermaid was one of my favorites when I was a child. I can't remember how many times I've watched it. I memorized the songs and the lines! This real life version reminded me of my younger years!
I am glad that our children got to watch this movie on a wide screen. They enjoyed their first time experience. The songs and movie lines were really from the original animated movie except of course for some additions. The entire movie experience brought back memories.
The movie was 2 hours long. It was past 11PM when we went out and the mall was already closed. It was kinda odd feeling inside the closed mall. We headed our way out and to the parking lot. Drove home and thankful there was no heavy traffic since it was almost midnight.
How was the experience?
To sum up, our children enjoyed the night with the movie. My husband and I were also happy they had a great time. We were glad we were able to treat them to a movie they like!
It is one our goals as parents to create wonderful memories with our children while they are young. Memories they bring with them when they become parents themselves.
Thank you for reaching this far. Do you have children too?
Until next time!
xoxo,
Met
