Cine Venezolano “SIMON” | Venezuelan Cinema "SIMON”
Welcome to a new post, yesterday my friend keritroberts called me to invite me to see a movie and without thinking I said yes and another friend accompanied us, now, when I ask her the name of the movie she tells me it is Venezuelan and it is called SIMON, I must confess that my expectations were low because I do not like Venezuelan cinema, it does not catch me, I had only seen one movie and I did not like it, and when I heard the word SIMON I only imagined Simón Bolívar.

When I arrived at the theater I was impressed by the amount of people, it was not full but there were more than I expected, at the beginning of the movie a SIMON said a phrase THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE ARE NOT ALL OUT ON THE STREETS, and next to her I had a friend who had lost his sight in the protests of 2014, I felt identified because just in that year I was in college and the UNET simply for everything stopped that is to say in the state there were other universities that kept giving classes and the UNET did not, but justified that by saying no matter what it is worth if this ends fast if you get out of this system fast and I got sidetracked, we return to SIMON.
This film narrates how difficult it was to be a student, to be against a political ideology, to protest for your rights and freedom and simply be arrested, attacked, terrorized, and in the film they show how they were tortured, and feel that sense of guilt that haunts you if you had done things differently maybe your friend would not be killed, flee the country, emigrate, start from scratch and leave your family behind just to feel that you are safe and not go through the same thing for thinking differently.
In one part of the film we hear a song that Venezuelans and the world recognize immediately, that scene was magical, so hivers all this transmitted me SIMON, a Venezuelan film that is worth seeing, that is incredible, with first class actors that take you to think about everything that Venezuelans have gone through this time.
