It's true that something cannot be done if we cannot imagine it or envision it first. It's also true that if we can imagine something then it can be done.
However, there is one factor which needs to be present so that anything we can imagine can be realized:
- We need to have the nerves (or the
stones) to get it done.
Anyone can talk a good game, but few if any people can actually get it done. Peace between two warring parties is possible only when both parties decide to pursue that option. If only one of the warring parties wants people, then it's just an exercise in flapping gums and happy talk.

As a result of the aforementioned Harry Potter Phenomenon, one of the side effects was a renewed general interest in reading.
