About the Quote
We have to believe that all things are possible, no matter how unlikely. Things become impossible when we give up, because at that point we stop trying.
Believing in what's possible is one of the themes of the Star Wars series of movies based on characters created by George Lucas:
- This is made clear in The Empire Strikes Back (1980) when Yoda, during his training of Luke Skywalker, raises his X-Wing fighter from the depths of the swamps of Dagobah. The young man says he can't believe what he had just witnessed, and the diminutive Jedi Master tells him that that is why he fails.
- Luke Skywalker had learned this lesson well because in The Last Jedi (2017) he convinced former student Ben Solo/Kylo Ren that he was fighting him to the death on the salt flats of the planet Crait when in reality he was fighting a remote projection of Skywalker. It's safe to say that what he did against Kylon Ren was far more difficult than "lifting rocks" or raising an X-Wing from the swamp.
In Christianity, it is said that with God all things are possible. I have to believe that religions across the world have a similar belief.
Some Information about Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Kathleen Ruston was born in Brussels, Belgium on 1929-May-4. She died in Tolochenaz, Switzerland on 1993-January-20.
Better knwon to the world as Audrey Hepburn, she was a British actress born in Belgium. In addition to her legendary acting performances, she was known as a champion in promoting children's aid worldwide.
The mother of the woman we know as Audrey Hepburn was the Dutch baroness Ella Van Heemstra. Her father was an Englishman, Joseph Victor Anthony Ruston, who would adopt the surname Hepburn-Ruston based on his belief that he was descended form the 4th earl of Bothwell (James Hepburn). Audrey Hepburn was born in Belgium, but she had British citizenship through her father.
In 1935, when she was 6 years old, her father left the family. In 1939, when she was 10 and with World War II just beginning in Europe, her mother snet her to The Netherlands under the assumption that the neutral nation would be safer for her than the belligerent UK. Instead, The Netherlands fell to Nazi Germany and was occupied by the Nazis. As a precaution, her mother ensured that she would be known as Edda Van Heemstra so as to conceal the British heritage she inherited from her father.
Even under these circumstances, Audrey Hepburn (as Edda Van Hemstra)was able to attend school and take ballet lessons. After World War II ended, she continued to study ballet in Amsertam, The Netherlands and later in London, England, UK. When she was in her early 20s, she studied acting and worked as a dancer and a model. When she began working in small film roles, she was credited as Audrey Hepburn.
