Un Refugio Inesperado, Basada en Hechos Reales // An Unexpected Refuge, Based on True Events

Saludos queridos cinéfilos, bienvenidos a mi blog y a la comunidad de #Movies&TVShow, les deseo un feliz inicio de semana, muchas bendiciones para todos. Mi fin de semana estuvo tranquilo, la pasé en casa viendo películas y series en familia,mi pasatiempo favorito. Hoy les quiero compartir mi opinión sobre una película que me gustó mucho, su nombre "Un Refugio Inesperado", está basada en hechos reales y la puedes ver en la plataforma de Netflix.

Greetings dear movie buffs, welcome to my blog and the #Movies&TVShow community, I wish you a happy start to the week, many blessings for everyone. My weekend was quiet, I spent it at home watching movies and series with my family, my favorite pastime. Today I want to share my opinion about a movie that I really liked, its name "An Unexpected Refuge", it is based on real events and you can see it on the Netflix platform.

La historia comienza en la ciudad de Varsovia, Antonia y Jan Zabinski son un matrimonio polaco encargados de un zoológico, donde albergan hermosos y majestuosos animales. Antonia recorre en bicicleta el zoológico, algunos animales están sueltos y otros por motivos de seguridad están en jaulas, pero todos bajo sus cuidados. El matrimonio tiene un pequeño hijo, el niño disfruta de la ventaja de vivir en un zoológico, juega y tiene como mascotas animales exóticos.

The story begins in the city of Warsaw, Antonia and Jan Zabinski are a Polish couple in charge of a zoo, where they house beautiful and majestic animals. Antonia cycles through the zoo, some animals are loose and others are in cages for safety reasons, but all under her care. The couple has a small son, the child enjoys the advantage of living in a zoo, plays and has exotic animals as pets.

Todo transcurre con normalidad en el zoológico hasta que en el año de 1939 ocurre un bombardeo y los alemanes toman la ciudad. Muchos de los animales murieron durante el bombardeo y el zoológico queda en ruinas, siendo clausurado luego por los nazis. El director del zoo de Berlin Lutz Heck los visita y les propone llevarse a los mejores especímenes, luego da la orden de matar al resto de animales.

Everything goes on normally at the zoo until 1939 when a bombing occurs and the Germans take the city. Many of the animals died during the bombing and the zoo was left in ruins, later being closed by the Nazis. The director of the Berlin Zoo Lutz Heck visits them and suggests taking the best specimens, then gives the order to kill the rest of the animals.

Durante la ocupación nazi los judíos fueron separados del resto de la población y trasladados a un gueto, donde eran sometidos a tratos inhumanos y asesinados. Los Zabinski ante esta situación deciden ayudar a los judíos ideando un plan para que puedan escapar de la ciudad, convirtieron el zoológico en un criadero de cerdos que serviría de coartada para entrar al gueto en busca de basura para alimentarlos y liberar judíos escondidos entre la basura. Luego el matrimonio los escondía en el zoológico hasta poder sacarlos del país, arriesgando sus vidas en esta peligrosa misión.

During the Nazi occupation, Jews were separated from the rest of the population and moved to a ghetto, where they were subjected to inhuman treatment and murdered. The Zabinskis, faced with this situation, decide to help the Jews by devising a plan so that they can escape from the city. They turned the zoo into a pig farm that would serve as an alibi to enter the ghetto in search of garbage to feed them and free Jews hidden among the garbage. . Then the couple hid them in the zoo until they could get them out of the country, risking their lives on this dangerous mission.

Personalmente la película me encantó porque narra la historia de esta pareja que arriesgó su vida por ayudar a los judíos, historia que yo no conocía y que creo que todos deberíamos conocer y admirar, ellos antepusieron sus intereses para ayudar a personas que no conocían, fueron muy valientes y osados.

Personally, I loved the film because it tells the story of this couple who risked their lives to help the Jews, a story that I did not know and that I think we should all know and admire. They put their interests first to help people they did not know, they were very brave and daring.

La película es muy emotiva, lloré en algunas escenas al ver las atrocidades que se cometieron contra los judíos, sentí tensión y rabia, pero esto me hizo admirar más al matrimonio Zabinski. La historia de sus vidas está bellamente contada en esta película donde se resalta que en los momentos más oscuros de la humanidad siempre hay un rayo de luz por donde se filtra la luz, personas con un gran corazón dispuesta a todo por ayudar. Mi personaje favorito fue el de Antonia, la actriz que la interpretó en la película se lleva todos los méritos, estuvo grandiosa.

The film is very emotional, I cried in some scenes when I saw the atrocities that were committed against the Jews, I felt tension and anger, but this made me admire the Zabinski couple more. The story of their lives is beautifully told in this film which highlights that in the darkest moments of humanity there is always a ray of light through which the light filters, people with a big heart willing to do anything to help. My favorite character was Antonia, the actress who played her in the film takes all the credits, she was great.

El zoológico abrió de nuevo al público en 1949, luego de la guerra los Zabinski lograron recuperarse. Te invito a ver la película, es agradable y no es aburrida, le doy un 8 en una escala de 10 puntos, espero se de tu agrado. Hasta la próxima hivers, abrazos.
