Fight Club (1999) Review
Everyone seems to want to be Tyler Durden these days. I mainly heard this name all over the manosphere and self-improvement internet niche. People mention a lot about it and quoting, “ the first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club”. If my memory serves me well, I watched this a very long time ago but for no reason, I want to watch it again. Since I don’t recall a lot of its plot and the characters, I once thought that Tyler Durden is the main character as the internet makes it seem like he was the main character. Meanwhile, actually he’s just the deuteragonist. I personally like Edward Norton's performance in this film more than Brad Pitt who plays Tyler Durden. Could it be just because it’s Brad Pitt that this movie garners cult-like following and is pretty famous?
However, Fight club isn’t a movie that I have strong opinions on. It was one of those movies that I watch just because, as an entertainment, and it stops there. Perhaps I failed to get the deep message of the movie or the movie just completely failed to catch my attention. And I am sure that others could have praised the cinematography, screenwriting etc but other than the screenwriting that I deem really good, it was all that from this movie to me. If you have not watched the movie, I suggest that at least once you watch this and you might like either it’s cinematography or screenwriting or the actors.

To be honest I'm not surprised that you want to see this movie again even though I had already seen it, at the time it was one of the most watched movies

What do you think about the movie?
I've heard a lot of the sayings in this movie but I have never watched it though. The time this came out I started to not go to the movies so much. RL makes it hard to sit and watch one. Every so often I watch one from home. Perhaps I can find and watch.
Right? the sayings in this movie is pretty iconic. I mean the screenwriting is definitely one of a kind but the plot was really just OK to me. Though people have all sorts of opinion about this movie was challenging status quo and is a social commentary. Anyhow, I hope you can watch this movie and maybe you'd share the same experience as I do or maybe you'd rate this movie higher.

Same, he did played his character so Good... The plot twist was something I've not expected and blown away when I found out truth about Tyler durden.
I guess it was that inside every coward guy there's someone like Tyler durden with confidence, skills and fearless attitude... Some characters were fighting disease like cancer or stuff, some with other IRL stuff and that fight club got em something in life. That's how I saw it. Been like years now!
haha yeah! the plot twist was pretty mindblowing. But I noticed a few times that it was the case. Although I think his split personality was tad extreme. Maybe it was that way that people could relate to it. How many times have you watched it ?

I laughed and I'm still laughing, It is a really good movie, and yes, I do too like Edward Norton here, Brad it's just Brad, but nothing to idolatrize, only incels and toxic men want to be like Tyler Durden, they totally missed the point.
hahahah it's weird how Tyler Durden gets the good rep but now I know :D I honestly think now it's totally overrated.
