On the line - Hasta el límite - 2022 [Movie Review]
Hola amigos, ayer en la noche no tenía mucho sueño y empecé a buscar que ver en Netflix y me tope con esta película, tiene mis géneros favoritos de suspenso, psicológico e intriga, además que estaba el increíble Mel Gibson y yo lo adoro, entonces me llamo más la atención y dije nada, esto va a estar buenísimo jajaja.
La película trata de Elvis Cooney un excéntrico locutor que lleva más de 25 años en la radio, lo cual es casi una leyenda en el medio, su programa se basa en recibir llamadas de algunos oyentes para contar lo que quieran contar, Elvis los entrevista entablan una conversación, le da consejos o hace bromas dependiendo de la situación. Pero su programa en los últimos meses está teniendo un declive por lo que su jefa está pensando en cerrar su show, aunado a eso el comportamiento de Elvis deja mucho que desear. Hasta que recibe una llamada escalofriante de un oyente que le cambia totalmente la vida.

Hello friends, last night I wasn't very sleepy and I started looking for what to watch on Netflix and I came across this movie, it has my favorite genres of suspense, psychological and intrigue, plus it had the incredible Mel Gibson and I love him, so I called my attention and said nothing, this is going to be great hahaha.
The film is about Elvis Cooney an eccentric announcer who has been on the radio for more than 25 years, which is almost a legend in the medium, his program is based on receiving calls from some listeners to tell what they want to tell, Elvis interviews them, they strike up a conversation, he gives advice or makes jokes depending on the situation. But his program in recent months is having a decline so his boss is thinking of closing his show, coupled with that Elvis' behavior leaves much to be desired. Until he receives a chilling call from a listener that totally changes his life.
En general esa es la sinopsis completa, no hay mucho que agregar, al comienzo sinceramente me pareció un poco tedioso, ya me estaba dando un poco de sueño, pero aguante un poco más jajaja para ver si ya llegaba el misterio.
In general that's the complete synopsis, there's not much to add, at the beginning I honestly found it a little tedious, I was already getting a little sleepy, but I held out a little longer hahaha to see if the mystery was coming.
Admito que cuando empezó el suspenso sí fue intrigante, la idea principal de este oyente tratando de vengarse del locutor, causándole sufrimiento, angustia y frustración por no saber que va a pasar con su familia, estuvo ingeniosa y hasta cierto punto me mantuvo a la expectativa. La película no me gusto mucho o por lo menos no era lo que esperaba, aunque admito que de eso se trataba, de engañar al televidente, involucrarlo en esta broma super elaborada a escalas gigantescas, pero de igual manera no causo ese gran impacto, por lo menos no para mí.
I admit that when the suspense started it was intriguing, the main idea of this listener trying to take revenge on the announcer, causing him suffering, anguish and frustration for not knowing what is going to happen to his family, was ingenious and to a certain extent kept me in expectation. I didn't like the movie very much or at least it wasn't what I expected, although I admit that's what it was all about, to fool the viewer, to involve him in this super elaborate joke on a gigantic scale, but it didn't cause that great impact, at least not for me.

Algunas actuaciones no fueron lo realmente convincentes tampoco, ya yo estaba sospechando cosas, lo cual siento que la película fracaso intentando engañarme jajaja, hubiera deseado que de verdad causara ese nivel que me gusta del suspenso e inquietud de no saber que esperar, pero no lo logro. Cuando me di cuenta de que involucraban mucho a Dylan no tenía mucho sentido y comencé a sospechar.
Some of the acting wasn't really convincing either, I was already suspecting things, which I feel like the movie failed at trying to trick me hahaha, I wish it would have really caused that level of suspense and uneasiness that I like about not knowing what to expect, but it just doesn't do it. When I realized that they involved Dylan a lot it didn't make a lot of sense and I started to get suspicious.

Si a media película o casi al finalizar lo intentaron convertir más en una comedia no sentí ese efecto, he visto películas de suspenso/comedia que han sido más divertidas, la verdad jajaja. Lamento si soy muy dura, pero es mi opinión, cada quien tiene sus gustos y criterios. No sé si la han visto, si la vieron me pueden dejar sus opiniones, me gustaría leerlos y para los que no la han visto, no sé qué decirles jajaja, los dejo a su riesgo, muchas gracias por leerme amigos.
If halfway through the movie or almost at the end they tried to turn it more into a comedy I didn't feel that effect, I've seen suspense/comedy movies that have been funnier, the truth is hahaha. I'm sorry if I'm too harsh, but it's my opinion, everyone has their own tastes and criteria. Este film está en tendencia en Netflix creo. No he pensado en verla, pero Elvis Cooney debe ser lo más impactante en la trama. Lástima por el desenlace y los cambios. Una pena totalmente.
Si, está en la posición 10 del top, creo que pudieron sacarle un mejor provecho, porque la idea del film es ingeniosa pero no sé, les faltó algo jeje. Gracias por leerme. Saludos.
