Film Review: Sound of Freedom - Sonido de libertad

^{Hello friends of this community, today I want to give my opinion about this movie that is giving much to talk about, both positively and negatively according to certain organizations and their morals, it is SOUND OF FREEDOM.}

^{This movie is based on the real life of former CIA agent TIM BALLARD, when he was still working as a federal agent rescued a child from the terrible hands of a child molester and trafficker of people (children), Tim Ballard learns that the child has a sister who is still trapped in this criminal organization, So he decides to travel to Colombia to rescue her, he devises a very risky plan which does not receive the support of the CIA and Tim Ballard makes the decision to resign to go ahead to rescue the girl in a dangerous Colombian jungle, risking his life.}

^{Sound of freedom is directed by Alejandro Monteverde (Mexican) and produced by the actor Eduardo Verástegui (Mexican) was filmed in 2018 and it was not until July 2023 that it was released. Many actors and artists have come out to support this production, inviting as many people as possible to see this film, to raise awareness about a terrible, if not the worst atrocity that exists in the world, which is human trafficking, especially trafficking of minors that has existed for years and continues to happen until now.}

The controversy or let's say rumors that have arisen since the release of this film is that supposedly there are powerful organizations that keep the traffic alive, either monetarily or as consumers of the same, which try to discredit the film, or put all possible obstacles so that it is not properly promoted and we can all see it.

^{My opinion about this movie, well mainly it was hard for me to see it, since it is not yet released in theaters in my city, I do not know if it was officially released in Venezuela, but well, someone gave me a link and I could see it with low quality video and audio, it does not take away the impact it left on me, I am a mother of a little girl of 6 years so yes, I personally felt affected when I saw it, I feel that when you are a parent, you are a parent of all children in the world, at least in my case I feel it that way. It is curious because I read a lot of news and I know that these things exist in the world, that all this happens, but I do not internalize it as such, we do not pay due attention to it, perhaps because it is very strong to assimilate and we prefer to turn a blind eye, because as it does not happen to me, I do not feel so affected.}

This film touches you in every way, you live it in the flesh and you don't need the violent, detailed or grotesque scenes of everything that these children go through, simply by seeing the reactions of Tim himself on his face or other characters, they make you imagine the atrocities that these pedophiles can do to little children, where their dreams are taken away, their lives, their bodies are worthless, a child who should not go through this for anything in the world, no one should go through this.

^{Objectively, I feel that the film already in the middle, the dialogues could have been better, the same of some performances, but apart from this the message and the reality that is lived are very clear and alive in the film. It is strong, how much evil can exist, how many people we do not imagine can be involved in this dark world, people we can see in social networks, showing a life of momentum, high morals and in private, may be supporting these acts so... I do not even know what name to give it, to me it made me cry, almost to traumatize from start to finish, especially a lot of frustration for not being able to do anything about it, help in any way to stop these acts.}

^{The words that affected me the most were that: drug trafficking does not give as much money as drug trafficking of children, because a bag is consumed in an hour, but a child can use it 5 or 10 times a day for 10 years in a row, I still write these words and tears come to my eyes, it is painful and very strong, but it is the reality that we are living, there are many children missing today and right now they are living this nightmare, children who should be playing, smiling, dreaming.}

^{I liked the ending, since the actor who played Tim, Jim Caviezel leaves a message full of hope, after watching the movie where you are immersed in the harsh darkness of reality, listening to the message manages to provide a little calm, I do not want to ruin the end, I hope you get to see it, you should see it, there are many things that we ignore and that only show an apex of the situation, but out there terrible things are happening and it is very likely that many people, organizations, high level corporations have their hand in there, unfortunately.}
