REVIEW de la serie HAZBIN HOTEL - Valió la pena la espera [SPA][ENG]
¡Hola a todos! Y bienvenidos a este nuevo post. ¿Te has portado bien últimamente? ¿Crees que los pecadores en el infierno aún tengan una oportunidad de redimirse? Que pensarías si te digo que hay una serie de animación llamada Hazbin Hotel que explora la idea de redención y que todos tienen la oportunidad cambiar, superar sus problemas y reparar sus malas acciones, incluso los demonios en el infierno. Es una serie sobre segundas oportunidades.
Hello everyone! And welcome to this new post. Have you been good lately? Do you think sinners in hell still have a chance to redeem themselves? What would you think if I told you that there is an animated series called Hazbin Hotel that explores the idea of redemption and that everyone has a chance to change, overcome their problems and make amends for their wrongdoings, even the demons in hell. It's a series about second chances.
Hazbin Hotel es una serie en donde se cuenta la historia de Charlie Morningstar, la hija de Lucifer y princesa del infierno y su idea de crear un Hotel en donde los pecadores puedan "rehabilitarse", redimirse y poder obtener la oportunidad de ir al cielo. Sin embargo, muchos creen que esta es una idea absurda y ella tiene que darse prisa en completar su proyecto antes que toda su gente sea exterminada.
Hazbin Hotel is a series that tells the story of Charlie Morningstar, the daughter of Lucifer and princess of hell and her idea of creating a Hotel where sinners can "rehabilitate", redeem themselves and get the opportunity to go to heaven. However, many believe that this is an absurd idea and she has to hurry to complete her project before all her people are exterminated.

La serie fue creada por Vivienne Medrano (Vivziepop), una chica que junto a su equipo de animadores independientes lograron sacar el piloto gracias a la recaudación de sus fans en Patreon, creando un universo de personajes con personalidades muy interesantes. A continuación les presento el piloto de la serie, el cual se podría decir que es el capítulo 0 ya que es canon en la serie:

En el piloto, Charlie presenta su idea del Happy Hotel, para rehabilitar pecadores, tiene como su primer huésped a la estrella del cine para adultos Angel Dust y es acompañada por su novia Vaggie. Un día un extraño demonio, conocido como el demonio de la radio, Alastor, se presenta en su hotel y le dice querer ayudarla, aunque Vaggie le advierte que este es un demonio peligroso al que no hay que confiar. Este trae a una pequeña, llamada Niffty, la cual será la Mucama y a Husk, el cantinero, para atender el bar del Hotel, siendo Alastor quien renombraría este hotel como Hazbin Hotel.
In the pilot, Charlie presents his idea of the Happy Hotel, to rehabilitate sinners, has as his first guest the adult film star Angel Dust and is accompanied by his girlfriend Vaggie. One day a strange demon, known as the radio demon, Alastor, shows up at her hotel and says he wants to help her, although Vaggie warns him that this is a dangerous demon who should not be trusted. He brings a little girl, named Niffty, who will be the maid and Husk, the bartender, to tend the bar of the hotel, being Alastor who would rename this hotel as Hazbin Hotel.
En la serie tenemos a otros personajes como el genio malvado Sir Pentious (voz interpretada por Alex Brightman), comenzó como un villano, pero luego después de una decepción decide ingresar al hotel también y a Cherri Bomb, amiga de Angel Dust, un espíritu libre que le gusta el caos.
In the series we have other characters like the evil genius Sir Pentious (voice played by Alex Brightman), he started as a villain, but then after a disappointment decides to enter the hotel as well and Cherri Bomb, friend of Angel Dust, a free spirit who likes chaos.

Han pasado 5 años desde que salió el piloto de la serie en YouTube, hecha por un equipo de animadores independientes. Observando el potencial de la serie, se esperaba que la serie cayera en manos de una productora o empresa de animación popular y fue tomada por la empresa de Entretenimiento A24 y el estudio de animación Bentobox Entertainment, en colaboración con Amazon Studios.
It has been 5 years since the pilot of the series was released on YouTube, made by a team of independent animators. Looking at the potential of the series, it was expected that the series would fall into the hands of a popular production company or animation company and it was taken over by A24 Entertainment and Bentobox Entertainment animation studio, in collaboration with Amazon Studios.
Posteriomente, se anunció el rediseño de los personajes y un nuevo cast para el doblaje. Además de esto, se pensó en cuál servicio de streaming saldría o si sería una serie de YouTube. Al final, Amazon Prime fue quién decidió apostar por esta serie y ha tomado una decisión acertada, así que el 19 de enero de 2024 tuvo su estreno oficial en Amazon Prime Video. Dicho esto, les comparto el primer capítulo de la serie, el cual ha sido subido por la cuenta oficial de Amazon Prime:
Subsequently, it was announced the redesign of the characters and a new cast for the dubbing. En los primeros minutos de la serie se nos cuenta la historia de como se creó el infierno en el universo de Hazbin Hotel, con muchas referencias bíblicas, como las fuerzas universales del bien y el mal, los ángeles y seráfines, la creación del primer hombre y la primera mujer. También se nos cuenta la historia de como se conocieron los padres de Charlie, Lucifer y Lilith y que por este acto luego de darle el fruto del conocimiento del bien y el mal, ocurrió la desobedeciencia de Adán y Eva, así como la entrada del mal y el pecado en el mundo, provocando el destierro de Lucifer. Toda esta historia con la omisión de ciertos detalles, pero así se la contaron a Charlie.
In the first minutes of the series we are told the story of how hell was created in the universe of Hazbin Hotel, with many biblical references, such as the universal forces of good and evil, angels and seraphim, the creation of the first man and the first woman. We are also told the story of how the parents of Charlie, Lucifer and Lilith met and that by this act after giving him the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, the disobedience of Adam and Eva occurred, as well as the entry of evil and sin in the world, causing the banishment of Lucifer. All this story with the omission of certain details, but this is how it was told to Charlie.
Así que para evitar que los demonios se rebelen, cada año se lleva a cabo una exterminación, por esta razón Charlie quiere crear su hotel para rehabilitar pecadores con el fin de reducir la sobrepoblación en el infierno y salvarlos de las purgas que se realizan cada año, pues acaba de ocurrir una recientemente.
También se nos cuenta que la madre de Charlie, Lilith se encuentra desaparecida desde hace 7 años y ella ha se ha distanciado un poco de su padre, Lucifer. Ese día recibe una llamada de su padre para presentarse ante Adán, el primer hombre y líder de los exterminadores, este último se ríe de la idea del hotel y solamente quiere eliminarlos a todos ya que Lucifer le quitó a su esposa además de traer el pecado al mundo.
So to prevent the demons from rebelling, an extermination takes place every year, for this reason Charlie wants to create his hotel to rehabilitate sinners in order to reduce the overpopulation in hell and save them from the purges that take place every year, as one has just occurred recently.
We are also told that Charlie's mother, Lilith has been missing for 7 years and she has become somewhat estranged from her father, Lucifer. That day she receives a call from her father to appear before Adam, the first man and leader of the exterminators, the latter laughs at the hotel's idea and only wants to eliminate them all since Lucifer took his wife away from him as well as bringing sin into the world.
Hasta el momento nadie más ha ingresado al hotel, solo tenemos a nuestros 6 personajes principales. Sin embargo, un evento inesperado, provoca que el cielo adelante la siguiente purga, ahora solo le quedan 6 meses para cumplir su proyecto del Hotel y comprobarle al cielo que la redención es posible.
Así que a lo largo de la serie conoceremos más sobre el transfondo de los personajes como Angel Dust, Husk, Vaggie y otros demonios del infierno y Charlie seguirá intentando probar que su idea funciona. Cada personaje obtiene un gran desarrollo, logran un cambio y las personas del hotel se convierten en una familia.
So far no one else has entered the hotel, we only have our 6 main characters. However, an unexpected event, causes heaven to advance the next purge, now he only has 6 months left to fulfill his Hotel project and prove to heaven that redemption is possible.
So throughout the series we will learn more about the background of characters like Angel Dust, Husk, Vaggie and other demons from hell and Charlie will continue to try to prove that his idea works. Each character gets a great development, they achieve a change and the people in the hotel become a family.
Otro aspecto en que se destaca Hazbin Hotel, son sus canciones, en donde los personajes expresan sus emociones, pensamientos y un poco de su historia. Aquí les comparto dos de mis canciones favoritas, More Than Anything, cantada por Erika Henningsen (Charlie) y Jeremy Jordan (Lucifer):
Another aspect in which Hazbin Hotel stands out is its songs, where the characters express their emotions, thoughts and a bit of their history. Here are two of my favorite songs, More Than Anything, sung by Erika Henningsen (Charlie) and Jeremy Jordan (Lucifer):
Otra canción que me gusta, es Poison, cantada por Blake Roman (Angel Dust) en donde expresa como se siente por llevar por esta relación tóxica y destructiva con alguien que abusa de él, pero no puede escapar ya que firmó un contrato y que es como un veneno que lo está ahogando y por eso recurre al placer y sustancias y vivir como si no hubiese un mañana. Sin embargo que desea tener algo por lo que vivir mañana y salir de este ciclo adictivo.
Another song I like, is Poison, sung by Blake Roman (Angel Dust) where he expresses how he feels about being in this toxic and destructive relationship with someone who abuses him, but he can't escape since he signed a contract and it's like a poison that is choking him and that's why he turns to pleasure and substances and living like there is no tomorrow. However he wishes he had something to live for tomorrow and get out of this addictive cycle.
Entre otros personajes que tendrán relevancia para las siguientes temporadas el grupo de los Vees's (Velvet, Vox y Valentino), Velvette (Lilli Cooper), Valentino (Joel Perez) el proxeneta de Angel Dust, el cual lo tiene bajo contrato, Vox (Christian Borle), el archienemigo de Alastor.
Among other characters that will have relevance for the following seasons are the Vees' group (Velvet, Vox and Valentino), Velvette (Lilli Cooper), Valentino (Joel Perez) Angel Dust's pimp, who has him under contract, Vox (Christian Borle), Alastor's archenemy.
La serie está recibiendo una recepción muy positiva, lo cuál me alegra mucho, ya que hay mucho esfuerzo detrás, una chica que desea contar su historia y un equipo de animadores que desean que su trabajo sea apreciado.
Es una serie que te ayuda no solo ver las cosas como blanco y negro, es toda una escala de grises, hay ciertos ángeles con comportamientos no adecuados y demonios con actitudes empáticas, así es la vida real y cuando entendemos este concepto comenzamos a ver la vida de una forma más madura, desde otros ojos, que observan el panorama en general.
The series is receiving a very positive reception, which makes me very happy, because there is a lot of effort behind it, a girl who wants to tell her story and a team of animators who want their work to be appreciated.
It's a series that helps you not only see things as black and white, it's a whole gray scale, there are certain angels with inappropriate behaviors and demons with empathetic attitudes, that's real life and when we understand this concept we start to see life in a more mature way, from other eyes, that look at the big picture.
En toda la serie, veo que mantienen un respeto hacia Dios, con ninguna broma ofensiva. Lo cual me parece excelente porque la religión puede ser un tema delicado y que merece respeto, lo cual me alegra como católico.
Por otra parte, aunque la serie se desarrolle en el infierno y los personajes principales sean demonios, no quiere decir que se alaben estas cosas, es simplemente observar en un mundo hipotético como serían las cosas allí. Hay mucho pecado, adicciones, odio, violencia, un lugar desagradable a quién nadie le gustaría vivir o ir allí.
Throughout the series, I see that they maintain a respect for God, with no offensive jokes. Which I think is excellent because religion can be a sensitive subject and deserves respect, which I am happy of that, because I'm a Catholic.
On the other hand, even though the series takes place in hell and the main characters are demons, it does not mean that these things are praised, it is simply observing in a hypothetical world how things would be there. There is a lot of sin, addictions, hatred, violence, a nasty place no one would want to live or go there.
Todos los viernes se están estrenando dos nuevos episodios y el 2 de febrero se estrenaron los dos últimos episodios de la primera temporada. Sin embargo, ya fue confirmado por Amazon Prime que contará con una segunda temporada que ya está en producción.
Estoy muy contento con el resultado de la serie, fue una serie de animación muy esperada por sus fans. La misma cuenta con muy buenas escenas de acción, una excelente de animación, con muchas referenciasy grandiosas canciones, todas encajaron muy bien son pegadizas y tienen cuentan parte de la historia.
Two new episodes are being released every Friday and on February 2, the last two episodes of the first season were released. However, it has already been confirmed by Amazon Prime that it will have a second season which is already in production.
I am very happy with the outcome of the series, it was a long awaited animated series by its fans. It has very good action scenes, excellent animation, with many references and great songs, all of them fit very well, they are catchy and tell part of the story.

A mi me ha encantado la serie, es un gran orgullo ver todo lo que han logrado, de ser una serie independiente a ser la serie más vista en enero en varios países, un gran apoyo que han recibido de la comunidad, fans y no fans, con una animación excelente y canciones que te harán sentir varias emociones, algunas te estremecerán el corazón, así que se las recomiendo mucho.

I have loved the series, it is a great pride to see everything they have achieved, from being an independent series to being the most watched series in January in several countries, a great support they have received from the community, fans and non-fans, with excellent animation and songs that will make you feel various emotions, some will make your heart shudder, so I highly recommend it.

Pues mira yo la verdad nunca me siento atraída por series animadas, pero has despertado mi curiosidad. Es un tema muy curioso el que desarrolla la serie, el ambiente me lleva a pensar un poco en las escenas que se llevan a cabo en el infierno de la versión de Sabrina en netflix. Me cuadra la idea, así que quizás le dé un chance, gracias por la recomendación!!!
