En definitiva yo soy una persona mucho mas amantes de los libros que de las películas, pero debo mencionar que hay ocasiones en donde no me llama ma atención el tema y por eso decido ver la película sin el compromiso de leer. En algunos momentos me sorprende mucho y termino leyendo su libro, pero mayormente no es el caso. Y esto me ha pasado con la saga After, una historia de Anna Todd nacida de la plataforma de lectura Wattpad por allá en sus años dorados. Si mal no lo recuerdo, los libros de After eran inspirados en un cantante de One Direction, pero como 6 me gusto el tema no me dedicaba a leer eso en aquel tiempo. El caso es que sus películas no era algo que yo escogería ver, pero mi mama es muy fan del romance y en una semana vimos todas las entregas.

In short, I am a person who loves books much more than movies, but I must mention that there are times when I don't like the subject matter and so I decide to watch the movie without the commitment to read. In some moments it surprises me a lot and I end up reading the book, but mostly it is not the case. And this has happened to me with the After saga, a story by Anna Todd born from the reading platform Wattpad back in its golden years. If I remember correctly, the After books were inspired by a singer from One Direction, but since I didn't like the subject I wasn't into reading that at the time. The thing is, their movies were not something I would choose to watch, but my mom is a big fan of romance and in one week we watched all the installments.

La saga After nos presenta la historia de Hardin Scott y Tessa Young, unos jovenes que se conocen en la universidad. Tessa siendo una chica centrada, tranquila, estudiosa, y Hardin el típico Badboy/Fuckboy que en principio se fija en ella debido a una apuesta que hacen sus amigos. En la primera entrega se empiezan a enamorar, pero debido a la traición de la apuesta Tessa lo termina todo, aunque al final se nota que van a volver ya que se hablan de nuevo. Estas son 5 películas conformadas por: “After: aquí empieza todo”, “After: en mil pedazos”, “After: Almas perdidas” y “After: amor infinito”. En todas vamos a ver un montón de clichés, la evolución del amor de Tessa y Hardin, su relación tóxica, todas las veces que terminan y vuelven, sus problemas con familiares, sus conflictos internos y como tratan de buscar amor propio para poder amarse con toda la intensidad.

The After saga presents us with the story of Hardin Scott and Tessa Young, two young men who meet in college. Tessa being a centered, quiet, studious girl, and Hardin the typical Badboy/Fuckboy who at first is fixed in her because of a bet made by his friends. In the first installment they begin to fall in love, but due to the bet bet Tessa ends it all, although in the end it is noted that they will return as they talk to each other again. These are 5 movies conformed by: "After: Here it all begins", "After”, “After We Collided”, “After We Fell”, “After Ever Happy” and “After Everything”. In all of them we are going to see a lot of clichés, the evolution of Tessa and Hardin's love, their toxic relationship, all the times they break up and come back, their problems with family members, their internal conflicts and how they try to find self-love to be able to love each other with all their intensity.

Si bien no es mi genero favorito, ya que soy mas de la fantasia, son películas que puedes ver sin tener ma necesidad de pensar demasiado en que va a pasar, solo disfrutar los cliches y pelear con los personajes. Durante todas las películas vamos a ver toxicidad, bastante diría yo, pero los personajes se dejan querer y mas cuando te identificas con algunas situaciones que pueden vivir. Creo que las que más me llegaron a gustar fueron “en mil pedazos” y “almas perdidas”, el final de la saga me pareció acorde, era lo que los protagonistas necesitaban pero me falto mas romance, sentí que la primera mitad fue muy lenta y ellos estaban totalmente separados. Por ende en ma mitad no habíamos llegado al pico del romance y ya para el final es que vemos como es su vida juntos con su nueva familia. La verdad es que son películas para pasar el rato, y como son varias te distraen por varios días.

Although it's not my favorite genre, since I'm more of a fantasy person, they are movies that you can watch without having to think too much about what's going to happen, just enjoy the clichés and fight with the characters. During all the movies we are going to see toxicity, quite a lot I would say, but the characters let themselves be loved and even more when you identify with some situations they may live. I think the ones I liked the most were “After We Collided” and “After We Fell”", the end of the saga seemed to me according to what the main characters needed but I felt that the first half was very slow and they were totally separated. Therefore in the second half we had not reached the peak of romance and by the end we see how their life is together with their new family. The truth is that they are movies to pass the time, and as there are several of them, they distract you for several days. I hope you liked this review, see you soon!
