Let's Talk About a Bad Ending, without Emotion and with Doubts.
💕 Hello Hive Community! 💕
The last part of The Witcher has been released! And god, I almost forgot that this series had an ending, I've already mentioned to you that this 2-part formula doesn't appeal to me at all regarding Netflix series. But, speaking of the subject, I don't come with such good news, and is that I literally just finished this series, I haven't even an hour that I stopped watching the last chapter and after analyzing a little, I have things to tell you.
Well, in this part two we have only 3 chapters where too many things happen at the same time. We start with the war of the wizards, where, after having the party and the accusations between them, they have some discussions about some traitors and immediately the armies of Nilfgard/elves arrive, and they have some confrontations and a lot of people are wounded, dead and missing. Here we see a lot of the "tug of war" that Yennefer and Geralt have with Ciri, who want to stay together, but in the end they don't succeed. After they get separated again, Ciri and Geralt run, but are intercepted by Vilgefortz, who seriously wounds Geralt orbits Ciri to Tor Lara, the tower of Arethusa, where she comes in contact with a mysterious force and is teleported.
While Ciri was in an internal struggle to accept or not her power, while in a desert, Yennfer was facing the chaos of Arethusa and Geralt was totally wounded. From this I feel like too much time passed, like more of the same, simply the series was showing us the chaos of The Brotherhood, and that Geralt was incapacitated. While it shows us that Cirilla had "met" Falka and Falka was enticing her to accept the chaos magic, it all boils down to a NO and we're back to the same thing.
And after all this madness there must be an ending, one that doesn't make much sense, basically with everyone separated. Yennefer along with what's left of the Brotherhood, Geralt along with Jaskier on their way to Nilfgard and Cirilla somewhere in the world, being corrupted by her first death, along with a group of people called the Rats. And it all ends with Geralt leaving, no longer being neutral, and at the same time being Henry Cavil's farewell. These last 3 chapters were not the best of this series, in fact I feel them empty, with little emotion, besides being the last of Henry that we are going to see, it is not funny to me. If you are fans of this series like me, watching it is ideal, but if not, the truth is that I don't even know. See you soon!
