Has it ever happened to you that you watch a movie and its story reminds you a lot of another movie? I don't know how common this is, but it recently happened to me and I must say that it was very gratifying to feel that connection and I think that's why I really enjoyed the movie I want to talk about today through a review.

¿Alguna vez les ha pasado que ven una película y su historia le recuerda mucho a otra película? No sé qué tan común sea esto, pero hace poco a mí me sucedió y debo decir que fue muy gratificante sentir dicha conexión y creo que por esa razón disfrute mucho la película de la cual deseo hablarles hoy a través de una reseña.

This movie is called "My Graduation Year" and it stars the charismatic actress Rebel Wilson. The story is based on the life of a high school senior who has a perfect life after being the ugly duckling for many years, this girl has everything a teenager would want at her stage, a handsome boyfriend, popularity, beauty and being the captain of the cheerleading squad, but unknowingly the life of this young girl would be about to suffer a huge change due to an accident, a stunt that went wrong.

Stephanie, falls into a prolonged coma due to the accident she had which greatly affected her nervous system, and after 20 years in bed she woke up with no idea of what happened, and that's when the real adventure begins. Refusing to lose her teenage life even as an adult, Stephanie sets out to return to high school, reestablish her popularity and become prom queen, a feat she could not enjoy because of her unfortunate accident, however not everything is rosy for the protagonist, because she must deal with an updated society and completely unknown to her.

Esta película tiene por nombre “El año de mi graduación” y es protagonizada por la carismática actriz Rebel Wilson. La historia se basa en la vida de una adolescente del último año de bachillerato que tiene una vida perfecta luego de ser el patito feo por muchos años, esta chica tiene todo lo que una adolescente querría en su etapa, un novio guapo, popularidad, belleza y ser la capitana del equipo de porristas, pero sin saberlo la vida de esta jovencita estaría próxima a sufrir un cambio gigantesco consecuencia de un accidente, una acrobacia que salió mal.

Stephanie, cae en un coma prolongado debido al accidente que tuvo el cual afectó en gran medida su sistema nervioso, y luego de 20 años estando en cama despertó sin tener idea de lo ocurrido, y es allí cuando comienza la verdadera aventura. Negada a perder su vida adolescente aun siendo adulta, Stephanie se propone volver a la secundaria, restablecer su popularidad y ser reina del baile, hazaña que no pudo disfrutar por su lamentable accidente, sin embarga no todo es color de rosa para la protagonista, porque ella debe lidiar con una sociedad actualizada y completamente desconocida para ella.

Technology, social networks and followers will become her biggest obstacle, plus ghosts from the past will return to her to make her process more difficult than it already would be. I must say that this movie is a very enjoyable comedy and despite including some cliché elements I swear they don't bother at all, my graduation year reminded me too much of the movie "If I were 30" which is one of the most iconic stories of cinema and which to this day we still enjoy, Stephanie reminded me of Jenna and I maintain my opinion that these two gems share the same essence. In addition, there are guest artists in this film such as Alicia Silverstone (one of my favorites).

Without a doubt this is a movie that I would recommend because, it will make you aware and it will also make you laugh a lot, if you like cheerleading stories you should also watch it hahaha. I hope you cheer up and take my recommendation, you won't regret it, see you in a future post!

La tecnología, redes sociales y los seguidores se volverán su mayor obstáculo, además fantasmas del pasado volverán a ella para hacer de su proceso un tanto más difícil de lo que ya sería. Debo decir que esta película e una comedia muy disfrutable y a pesar de incluir elementos un tanto cliché les juro que no molestan en lo absoluto, el año de mi graduación me recordó demasiado a la película “Si tuviera 30” la cual es una de las historias más icónicas del cine y la cual hasta la fecha seguimos disfrutando, Stephanie me recordó a Jenna y mantengo mi opinión de que estas dos joyas comparten la misma esencia. Además, hay artistas invitados en este filme como Alicia Silverstone (una de mis favoritas)

Sin duda alguna es una película que recomendaría pues, los va a sensibilizar y también los hará reír muchísimo, si te gustan las historias de porristas también debes verla jajaja. Espero que se animen y tomen mi recomendación, no se arrepentirán. ¡Nos vemos en un próximo post!
