Gotan Project's brilliant Tango Santa Maria Del Buen Ayre from Shall We Dance, the melancholic song All by Myself from Bridget Jones's Diary, the beautiful Beauty and the Beast, and a surprise bonus song at the end, are all songs from the movies.

Gotan Project is a musical group based in Paris – members are the Argentinian musician Eduardo Makaroff, Philippe Cohen Solal from France, and Swiss musician Christoph Müller. The song was used in three movies - The Bourne Identity, Shall We Dance?, and Knight and Day.
I’ve seen Shall We Dance a couple of times, and watched the live show a couple of times. Shall We Dance also became a popular ballroom dancing competition between three celebrities made for television, which I also watched, more than a couple of times!
A romantic scene from the movie is when John Clark (Richard Gere), comes up the escalator in a tuxedo holding a red rose to surprise his wife. She had suspected infidelity while he was secretly going to ballroom lessons. Jennifer Lopez is brilliant as the dance teacher Paulina.

All by Myself

Wine, too much of it, and cigarettes, too much of it, does not take away any of the charm of Bridget Jones. Jamie O’Neal sang the song All by Myself in the first of a series of four Comedy Romance movies - Bridget Jones’s Diary.
I’m sure many of us have sung ‘All by Myself’ at one point in our lives, perhaps after one too many glasses of wine as the endearing Bridget who started a diary desperate to get her love life and career in order.
The fourth movie Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy has just been released, and I’m looking forward to watching that!
I’m sharing the version sung by Celine Dion, as well as a clip from the movie where we hear the voice of Jamie O'Neal.
The song was written by Eric Carmen, an American musician who was part of the power pop group Raspberries before going solo. Credit also goes to the Russian classical composer Sergei Rachmaninoff (1 April 1873 – 28 March 1943 ) as Carmen used much of the 2nd movement from the famous composer’s Piano Concerto No. 2. He believed that the work of Rachmaninoff was copyright-free.

Beauty and the Beast

The beautiful theme song from the enchanting 2017 fantasy movie Beauty and the Beast was composed by Alan Menken with lyrics by Howard Ashman, and sung here by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson.
The story is about a brave and beautiful young girl from a village whose father was imprisoned by a beast in his castle. The beast used to be a handsome prince turned into a hideous beast by an enchantress, who cast a spell that he could only become a prince again if he experienced true love. The young girl sees his gentle heart, they fall in love, and the story has a happy ending, as in all fairytales!

Bonus Song - Once Upon a December

A hauntingly beautiful song Once Upon a December sung by Liz Callaway, was the theme song for the animated movie Anastasia.
The movie is based on the eighteen-year-old daughter of the last Russian Tsar, Grand Duchess Anastasia, and her search for her family. Anya only finds her grandmother the Dowager Empress Marie, once she regains her memory and proves her identity with a special locket and a lullaby from her childhood.
