Before I dive into the story, let me tell you that, if you grew up in the 90's or even if you didn't, you probably already know that Beauty and the Beast is one of those movies that left a deep mark in the childhood of many. And that's not just because of the brilliant animation or the catchy songs, which I still love today; but because of the story itself.
The plot follows Bella, a young girl who lives in a small town and dreams of more than just "this provincial life." And honestly, who hasn't felt that way at one time or another? Her desire for adventure and knowledge makes her incredibly relatable, and that's one of the reasons this film remains so beloved.
Antes de adentrarme en la historia, déjenme decirles que, si crecieron en los años 90 o incluso si no lo hicieron, probablemente ya sepan que La Bella y la Bestia es una de esas películas que dejó una huella profunda en la infancia de muchos. Y eso no es solo por la brillante animación o las canciones pegajosas, que hoy en día aún me encantan; sino por la historia misma.
La trama sigue a Bella, una joven que vive en un pequeño pueblo y sueña con más que solo "esta vida provincial". Y, sinceramente, ¿quién no se ha sentido así alguna vez? Su deseo de aventura y conocimiento la hace increíblemente relatable, y eso es una de las razones por las que esta película sigue siendo tan querida.

But, we can't forget the real star of the film: the Beast. Although he's all roar and grumpiness at first, it's impossible not to empathize with him when we discover his story and how he got trapped in that beastly form. His evolution throughout the film is a beautiful reminder that beauty is on the inside.
Let's talk about the songs, because they are absolutely iconic! From Bella to My Gaston to the emotional Tale as Old as Time, each one is unforgettable. When I listen to these songs, I am automatically transported back to my childhood and remembering every scene.
Pero, no podemos olvidarnos de la verdadera estrella de la película: la Bestia. Aunque al principio es todo rugido y malhumor, es imposible no sentir empatía por él cuando descubrimos su historia y cómo quedó atrapado en esa forma bestial. Su evolución a lo largo de la película es un hermoso recordatorio de que la belleza está en el interior.
Hablemos de las canciones, ¡porque son absolutamente icónicas! Desde Bella hasta Mi Gastón, pasando por la emotiva Tale as Old as Time, cada una de ellas es inolvidable. Cuando escucho estas canciones, me transporto automáticamente a mi infancia y recordando cada escena.

I can't fail to mention the supporting characters. The Lumière candelabra, the Din Don clock and Mrs. Potts are adorable and add a touch of comedy to the film. They are so likable that they don't go unnoticed, so much so that you are not able to forget about them no matter how much time has passed.
Now, even though it's a near perfect movie, there is always something that could be improved. Personally, I feel that the villain, Gaston, could have been a bit more complex, but his self-centeredness and arrogance make him obnoxious anyway.
No puedo dejar de mencionar a los personajes secundarios. El candelabro Lumière, el reloj Din Don y la señora Potts son adorables y agregan un toque de comedia a la película. Son tan agradables que no pasan desapercibidos, tanto que no eres capaz de olvidarte de ellos sin importar que tiempo ha pasado.
Ahora bien, aunque es una película casi perfecta, siempre hay algo que podría mejorar. Personalmente, siento que el villano, Gastón, podría haber sido un poco más complejo, pero su egocentrismo y arrogancia lo hacen odioso de todas formas.

Una gran película de esa princesa y de todas las adaptaciones que han sacado esta es la mejor por la manera como lograron desarrollar toda esa aventura y lo impresionante es la relación de esa gran bestia con dicha joven. Además grandes momentos que son muy bonitos y están cargados de muchos mensajes. Genial que hayas disfrutado de esa gran producción.

Uy sí, que nostalgia, recuerdo que el boom de esa película es la escena del baile y la lámpara del medio del salón porque la animación era de última generación para la época, pienso que hoy en día se ve bien, la película ha envejecido muy bien, yo la Vi de niña y me encantó y a hora la he visto con mi hija de 7 años y a ella también le encanta.
