Pues, ya hace poco fué el catorce de febrero y como es tradición aquí, tengo que hablar de las que a mi parecer son las mejores películas de amor para ver en pareja. La verdad es que no soy muy fan del género y no me he visto las míticas como podría ser When Harry meet Sally, la trilogía Before o Kramer vs Kramer, pero si he visto algunas y de esas quisiera hablar, de mis tres películas favoritas para ver en pareja. Esto último quiero tenerlo muy presente porque me encantan películas como In the mood for love, Call me by your name o la increíble Past lives, pero a pesar de ser películas que tocan el tema del amor, tocan más el tema del desamor, y prefiero hablar de películas con un final feliz e incluso un poco cliché, porque un poco de eso trata esta fecha, ¿no? Bueno, sin más que decir, mis tres películas favoritas para ver en pareja:

Well, recently it was February 14th and as is tradition here, I have to talk about what in my opinion are the best love movies to watch as a couple. The truth is that I am not a big fan of the genre and I have not seen the mythical ones such as When Harry meets Sally, the Before trilogy or Kramer vs Kramer, but I have seen some and I would like to talk about those, about my three favorite films to see as a couple. I want to keep the latter in mind because I love films like In the mood for love, Call me by your name or the incredible Past lives, but despite being films that touch on the theme of love, they touch more on the theme of heartbreak, and I prefer to talk about films with a happy ending and even a bit cliché, because that's a bit of what this date is about, right? Well, without further ado, my three favorite movies to watch as a couple:
Cuestion de tiempo
Como es tradición, también, me gusta empezar por la que más me gusta, y en este género sin duda es About Time. Una película que siempre recuerdo con mucho cariño porque no solo habla del amor de forma romántica, sino también todo el amor que hay que dar en la vida, para tu padre, para tu familia, para tus amigos, tu vida y tu trabajo. Tal vez no sea una película completamente de amor ya que es una comedia romántica, pero algunos también podrían decir que esas son las mejores, porque en la vida el amor y la comedia se llevan de la mano, así como en las películas.
About time
As it is tradition, also, I like to start with the one I like the most, and in this genre it is undoubtedly About Time. A movie that I always remember very fondly because it not only talks about love in a romantic way, but also all the love you have to give in life, for your father, for your family, for your friends, your life and your work. Maybe it is not a completely love movie since it is a romantic comedy, but some might also say that those are the best ones, because in life love and comedy go hand in hand, as well as in movies.
Dou kyu sei
Bueno, pues me gusta el anime y quería dejar algo de anime por aquí, pero algo diferente, algo que no mucha gente haya visto o recomendado, porque ya todos hemos visto Your name o Quiero comerme tu páncreas, también Una voz silenciosa o las películas de Ghibli (y si no has visto nada de esto, hazlo lo antes posible), pero Dou kyu sei es una película diferente, corta y además hermosa, que no anda con los clichés del anime de no demostrar cariño sino hasta después de dos temporadas ni nada por el estilo, siendo una película de amor homosexual dónde tampoco hay ningún “villano” o alguien que quiera separar a los protagonistas, quitando así también el cliché de que las historias homosexuales solo terminan en tragedia. Una película de anime increíble que queda en tu mente y en tu corazón por un buen tiempo.

Well, I like anime and I wanted to leave some anime here, but something different, something that not many people have seen or recommended, because we all have already seen Your name or I want to eat your pancreas, also A Silent Voice or Any Ghibli movies (and if you haven't seen any of these, do it as soon as possible), but Dou kyu sei is a different movie, short and also beautiful, that does not go with the anime clichés of not showing affection until after two seasons or anything like that, being a homosexual love movie where there is also no “villain” or someone who wants to separate the protagonists, thus also removing the cliché that homosexual stories only end in tragedy. An amazing anime movie that will stay in your mind and in your heart for a long time.

Y aunque había dicho que no iba a recomendar o comentar una película de este estilo, que fuera completamente amor y drama, creo que esta película en algún punto llega a trascender la barrera de película de amor y nos muestra cosas muy interesantes que solo el director de Orgullo y Prejuicio podría haber hecho, como uno de los planos secuencias más aclamados en el cine, o una historia bien contada que te tiene al filo de la pantalla de principio a fin, dónde se nota que todo fue meticulosamente planeado.
Atonement
And although I had said that I would not recommend or comment on a film of this style, which was completely love and drama, I think this film at some point manages to transcend the barrier of love movie and shows us very interesting things that only the director of Pride and Prejudice could have done, as one of the most acclaimed sequence shots in cinema, or a well-told story that keeps you on the edge of the screen from beginning to end, where you can tell that everything was meticulously planned.
