¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, hace varias semanas que ví esta película, pero aunque había decidido no hacer una reseña de ella, después de meditarlo varios días, me pareció que aunque la película no me había gustado del todo, igual tenía algo que decir de ella que quizás pueda servir para que otros la vean, o pasen de ella, y es que ahora que lo analizo con cabeza fría, me doy cuenta que la película realmente no es mala, solo que a mí me la vendieron mal y justamente pertenece a un género que no es mi favorito, por lo que todos estos elementos hicieron que al final de la historia me quedara con esa sensación de haber perdido mi tiempo, asi que para no extenderme mas, el dia de hoy hablaremos de ¡Otra Vez Tú!
Hello Hello Community! ✨, I saw this film several weeks ago, but although I had decided not to review it, after thinking about it for several days, I thought that although I didn't like the film at all, I still had something to say about it that might help others to see it, or pass on it, and now that I analyse it with a cool head, I realize that the film is not really bad, just that it was sold to me wrong and it belongs to a genre that is not my favorite, so all these elements made that at the end of the story I was left with that feeling of having wasted my time, so not to extend more, today we will talk about You Again.
💐 SINOPSIS || SYNOPSIS 💜
Marni fue la típica chica nerd de instituto a la que todos le hacían bullying, o mejor dicho, a la que Joanna y su grupo de amigos le hacían bullying, a tal punto de marcar ésta época de su vida como la peor y llenarla de pésimos recuerdos, sin embargo sus días de nerd acabaron y ahora es una exitosa profesional, que debe regresar a su casa para asistir a la boda de su hermano mayor, con lo que ella no contaba era con que la novia de su hermano es justamente Joanna, la chica que arruinó sus recuerdos de adolescencia, y quién ahora parece ser la persona más adorable del mundo, a tal punto de haberse ganado por completo a la familia de Marni.
Pero Marni no puede olvidar, así como tampoco puede confiar en ésta chica, por lo que presionando un poco aquí y allá se da cuenta que la imagen de bondad que Joanna quiere que todos crean, quizás no sea del todo cierta 😮.

But Marni can't forget, just as she can't trust this girl, so by pushing a little here and there she realises that the image of goodness that Joanna wants everyone to believe may not be entirely true 😮.
🤦🏻♀️ LOS PERSONAJES || THE CHARACTERS 👰🏻♀️
Mi problema principal con ésta película es que casi nada me gustó y eso incluye un poco a los personajes, de verdad que llega un punto de la historia en la que ya no soportaba a Marni, me parecía bastante inmadura en muchos sentidos, y hasta sentí que no le importaba para nada la felicidad de su hermano, quien de hecho es de mis personajes favoritos porque es el único con sentido común. Desde el momento en que nos presentan a la Marni adulta, nos dan a entender que muchas cosas en su vida cambiaron, la mayoría en relación a su aspecto físico, pero en el transcurso de la película solo la vemos siendo una niña resentida, o sea al principio se justifica porque tiene ésta desconfianza con Joanna y ésta parece que no la recuerda o no la quiere recordar, pero después queda claro que solo había estado fingiendo, y hasta ahí tú dices que Marni tiene razón, pero después todo parece muy infantil de su parte y además en cuestión de días parece que vuelve a ser la misma adolescente que se supone ya superó, siento que pudieron darle un mejor desarrollo a su personaje y empoderarla más.
My main problem with this film is that I didn't like almost anything and that includes the characters, I really couldn't stand Marni, she seemed quite immature in many ways, and I even felt that she didn't care about her brother's happiness, who in fact is one of my favourite characters because he is the only one with common sense. From the moment we are introduced to the adult Marni, we are given to understand that many things in her life have changed, mostly in relation to her physical appearance, but in the course of the film we only see her being a resentful child, that is, at the beginning she justifies herself because she has this mistrust with Joanna and Joanna doesn't seem to remember her or doesn't want to remember her, but later it becomes clear that she had only been pretending, and up to that point you say that Marni is right, but later it all seems very childish on her part and in a matter of days she seems to go back to being the same teenager she is supposed to be over, I feel that they could have given her character a better development and empowered her more.
Con respecto a Joanna, a mí personalmente me parece que es el personaje con mayor desarrollo, no solo por su desenvolvimiento durante la película, sino también por la historia de lo que fue su vida desde el instituto hasta el momento de su boda, cómo muestran a través del relato la transformación que tuvo de ser una agresora escolar hasta reconocer que sus acciones de la adolescencia, no eran apropiadas. En un punto creo que puedes empatizar un poco con ella, pues es una persona cuyos padres murieron y que vivía con la culpa de a quienes había dañado en el pasado, no obstante sí la vemos retomando ciertas conductas agresivas a medida que la historia avanza, lo cual de hecho la hace más interesante porque te demuestra lo completamente humano que puede ser volver a cometer ciertos errores por desesperación, porque al fin y al cabo lo que ella más anhelaba era casarse, y en el proceso de salvar ésto olvidó que lo primordial era pedir perdón y ser sincera.
With respect to Joanna, I personally find her to be the character with the most development, not only because of her development during the film, but also because of the story of her life from high school to the time of her wedding, how the story shows her transformation from being a school bully to recognising that her actions as a teenager were not appropriate. At one point I think you can empathise with her a bit, as she is a person whose parents died and who lived with the guilt of those she had hurt in the past, however we do see her returning to certain aggressive behaviours as the story progresses, which actually makes it more interesting because it shows you how completely human it can be to make certain mistakes again out of desperation, because after all what she most wanted was to get married, and in the process of saving this she forgot that the most important thing was to ask for forgiveness and be honest.
🤦🏻♀️ HISTORIAS SECUNDARIAS || SECONDARY STORIES 👰🏻♀️
En ésta película no solo nos centramos en una rivalidad, sino que también tenemos una riña entre la mamá de Marni y la tía de Joanna, quienes eran amigas muy cercanas en su adolescencia, pero que por malentendidos y un poco asunto de egos heridos no solo se distanciaron, sino que en la actualidad parecen llevar una especie de cordialidad pasivo-agresiva, aquí es más la tía de Joanna quien mantiene la dispuesta entre ambas, pues la mamá de Marni es más bien una persona que busca llegar a acuerdos que mantengan la paz, y es justamente ésta rivalidad la más entretenida, porque las acciones que llevan a cabo ambas partes para molestar a la otra, si bien pueden parecer infantiles son en sí mismas súper divertidas 🤣, a diferencia de Marni y Joanna que si tenían conductas cuestionables, además al final es una relación que vuelve a consolidarse como la amistad que no debió fracturarse 💕, si tuviese que ver ésta película de nuevo, claramente sería para ver ésta historia en particular.

Otra historia secundaria que no puedo pasar por alto, es la que se “desarrolla” entre Marni y Charlie, y lo pongo entre comillas porque se supone que es parte del romance de ésta película, pero solo diré que en términos de romance, aquí no hubo romance. Y es éste el origen de que ésta película no me haya gustado del todo, y es porque me la vendieron como “comedia romántica”, cuando la realidad es que solo se trata de comedia, y a mí en general no me gusta ese género, y entiendo que al final eso no es culpa de la película sino de la reseña que consulté, pero no puedo no criticar el nulo esfuerzo que hicieron por introducir un romance decente, que al menos tuviese un mínimo desarrollo, porque aunque al final no sea el objetivo o foco de la historia, si ya vas a usar ese recurso al menos hazlo bien 🤦🏻♀️, no me presentes un personaje que obviamente ves venir como el interés amoroso, mostrandolo solo en un par de escenas donde se supone que “debes ver la chispa en ellos” y asumir que tiene completa lógica que en la escena post-crédito se besen y vivan felices para siempre 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.
Another side story that I can't overlook is the one that "develops" between Marni and Charlie, and I put it in quotes because it's supposed to be part of the romance in this film, but I'll just say that in terms of romance, there was no romance here. And this is the reason why I didn't like this movie at all, and it's because it was sold to me as a "romantic comedy", when the reality is that it's just comedy, and I generally don't like that genre, and I understand that in the end that's not the fault of the movie but of the review I consulted, but I can't not criticize the lack of effort they made to introduce a decent romance, that at least had a minimum of development, because even if in the end it's not the objective or focus of the story, if you're going to use that resource at least do it well 🤦🏻♀️, don't present me with a character that you obviously see coming as the love interest, showing it only in a couple of scenes where you're supposed to "see the spark in them" and assume that it makes complete sense that in the post-credits scene they kiss and live happily ever after 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.
