Unsung Hero (2024); A true story of Rebecca St. James as a Stonebone.
I just watched Unsung Hero, a Movie which is based on the true story of Rebecca St. James's family and the initial sequence of struggles they had to deal with in their grass to grace life experience. Rebecca St. James is a legendary name in the Christian music industry and this Movie is one that pulls the emotional strings of the viewers.
It feels quite refreshing to see a movie like this, especially for people who have been inspired by Rebecca's songs. It's the sort of Movie you want to watch while spending a very good time with your family because this movie did a good job of shining proper light on family values.
The real-life story displayed in this Movie shows that even when things are tough and rough, a family that stands together will always have a higher chance of making it through trial time. I already know it can be tough to thrive with a large family while in your homeland. Well, this movie is about a big family that had to start life afresh in a New Country with no decent source of income.
Here's a little profile for the Movie;
Movie: Unsung Hero
Genre: Drama, True Story
Release Date: 26th April, 2024
Runtime: 1h 52m
This Movie is obviously not a thriller or some high-budget movie. The focus wasn't on the visuals. That explains why the graphics felt boring and stale. This isn't a big deal though. It must have been an intentional move made to highlight the fact that the story was set in the 90s.
The story itself is uplifting enough to make up for what the show lacks in its cinematic display. The best part of the show for me is the dramatization of the storyline. It wasn't overdramatic in any way. If anything, a fact-based story of this nature is matched by the dramatic storyline and the charming on-screen performance of the characters. Even the kid actors did their fair share to bring life to their characters.
The trailer is heavily focused on Rebecca's side of the story. Meanwhile, the movie itself gives a bigger focus on David Smallbone and his wife, Helen. Their decision to stoop low, swallow their pride, and make sacrifices to rebuild their home in a foreign land is fairly inspiring. Their children were also supportive and they had a very inspiring attitude.
The Movie has the potential to be more appealing than it is already. However, I have no complaints at all. They managed to wrap the project up without throwing a lot of cash into shooting it. Besides, I can imagine Rebecca St. James and her family going through an emotional rollercoaster as they watch each scene of this Movie.
They deserve their flowers.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
