Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024).

It's been way too long since I carved out time to see any movie. Like, we are not just talking in days... it's been over 7 weeks since I last watched any Movie or TV show. Coming from a cinephile like myself, it shows that the last couple of weeks has been a hectic one.

I finally got an opportunity to watch something on screen and the Movie I watched is a sequel to the Bad Boys franchise... The fourth part of the franchise.

Yeah!

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are the co-stars of the Bad Boys franchise and the most recent part of the franchise was released on 7th June, 2024.

Before I go any further, I need to let you know that if you're a fan of a good action comedy, you shouldn't be snoozing on this particular movie. I'm not even kidding. These guys outdid themselves in this Movie.

I mean, you wouldn't expect anything less from the makers of this particular franchise. The first part of the franchise was released in 1995. It's almost 30 years and the franchise has never presented a dull moment. So, they deserve their flowers for beating my expectations in this recent release.

I had the pleasure of watching this Movie with someone special and we had several moments of laughter while watching it. The comedic brilliance portrayed in the writing is fabulous. The chemistry between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is still as captivating as a fresh wine.

The Casting for this version of the show is also commendable.

It felt like I spotted a sharp highlight of Bjorn Ironside in the opening scene. The curious cinephile in me couldn't hold my curiosity. Haha. I immediately rushed to Google to check if who I saw was truly the fearsome Bjorn from the Vikings series. Turns out he's the dude. I sure haven't seen him in any other show. So, this was a very pleasant surprise.

As if that wasn't enough, DJ Khalid and Khaby Lame also made special appearances in the Movie. Jay Shetty, a global best-selling British author, also made a special appearance. Reggie, who was literally shitting his pants when he first encountered Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the 2003 version of the Bad Boys franchise, also got recast in this version as a fully matured lad.

This time around, he proved himself as a Man and earned the respect of the co-stars of the franchise.

You know what?

I didn't even watch the trailer for this show before watching the Movie. I just got to watch the trailer right now, and I'm so glad that they didn't give away too much in it. Yeah! I'm a fan of nicely edited trailers.

Did you just watch the trailer?

Now, add the Movie to your watchlist and enjoy watching it with someone special. You will be glad that you did.

While I'm a big fan of the comedic brilliance and the casting in this edition of the franchise, the action sequence is also very notable. These guys nailed it on all fronts. The stunts are awesomely done and the camera angles for these stunts are nicely captured.

If there's any other movie like this, I would surely like to have that on my watchlist.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
