[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] Brightburn
Welcome my dear space travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, I rarely read the synopsis of a film, however, I was curious to see what the film “Brightburn” was about so That when reading the description of it made me really want to see a super-powerful alien destroy humanity. Without further ado, prepare to kill people because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros espaciales del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, pocas son las veces que leo la sinopsi de un filme, sin embargo, me dio curiosidad ver de qué se trataba la cinta “Brightburn” por lo que al leer la descripción de la misma me dieron muchas ganas de ver a un extraterrestre superpoderoso arrasar con la humanidad. Sin más que agregar prepárense para asesinar personas pues estamos por comenzar.
Brightburn was released in 2019, directed by David Yarovesky, produced by Screen Gems, Stage 6 Films, among others, and has a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is a horror and action film, the story focuses on Kyle and Tori Breyer, a couple who tried on several occasions to have a child without success. One night when they were together they heard a roar in the forest next to their house, and, after throwing At a glance, they realize that it is a boy who came in a spaceship. After 10 years, the little boy begins to show incredible qualities superior to those of any human, however, his lack of empathy and coldness towards life also began to be noticed, this bad combination will bring countless misfortunes.

Es un filme de terror y acción, la historia se centra en Kyle y Tori Breyer una pareja que intentó en varias ocasiones tener un hijo sin éxito, una noche estando juntos escucharon un estruendo en el bosque aledaño a su casa, y, después de echar un vistazo, se dan cuenta de que es un niño que venía en una nave espacial. Tras 10 años el pequeño niño comienza a mostrar cualidades increíbles superiores a las de cualquier humano, no obstante, su falta de empatía y frialdad ante la vida también comenzaron a hacerse notar, esta mala combinación traerán un sin número de desgracias.

The soundtrack is forgettable, it does not stand out for any reason and at most seeks to be an element that contributes to the creation of tension, however, the film does not do a good job of creating said suspense, so the section is not used.
La banda sonora es olvidable, no destaca por ninguna razón y a lo mucho busca ser un elemento que aporte a la creación de tensión, sin embargo, el filme no hace un buen trabajo al crear dicho suspenso, por lo que el apartado no es aprovechado.
Nothing to highlight, this section does not provide anything really interesting under any circumstances, a normal city that does not stand out at all, the origin of the child is never mentioned nor is it a topic that is explored in any way.
Nada que destacar, este apartado tampoco aporta nada realmente interesante bajo ningún concepto, una ciudad normal que no destaca en absoluto, la procedencia del niño nunca es mencionada ni es un tema que sea explorado de alguna forma.
The plot has well-done moments of blood and viscera, they are moments that can cause repulsion very easily due to how graphic they are, apart from that there is nothing else because the film only focuses on showing those types of scenes. Narratively there is not much to tell, we only seek to expand the cruelty and crudeness of the little alien's acts, nothing more is sought. The duration is fine, although it doesn't really have an objective or anything similar, the depraved deaths it contains are what seek to maintain the viewer's interest.
La trama tiene momentos de sangre y vísceras bien logrados, son momentos que pueden causar repulsión muy fácilmente debido a lo gráficas que son, fuera de ello no hay más nada debido a que el filme solo se centra en mostrar ese tipo de escenas. Narrativamente tampoco hay mucho que contar, solo se busca ir ampliando la crueldad y crudeza de los actos del pequeño alienígena, no se busca nada más. La duración está bien, pese a que no tiene realmente un objetivo ni nada que se le asemeje, las muertes depravadas que alberga son las que buscan mantener el interés del espectador.
All the characters are cannon fodder without any kind of interesting appearance or anything similar, the protagonist's parents have nothing that makes them stand out and the only reason you can empathize with them is because of the terrible ending they have but not because they are nice or anything like that. I like it when the villain is the protagonist, however, here he is just a bloodthirsty for no reason so the only attractive point he has is how psychopathic he is.
Todos los personajes son carne de cañón sin ninguna clase de aspecto interesante ni nada que se le parezca, los padres del protagonista no tienen nada que los haga destacar y la única razón por la que se puede empatizar con ellos es por el terrible final que tienen más no porque sean agradables ni nada por el estilo. Me gusta cuando el villano es el protagonista, sin embargo, aquí este solo es un sanguinario sin razón por lo que el único punto atractivo que tiene es lo psicópata que es.
Brightburn is one of those types of films that seeks to have an indigestible amount of unpleasant scenes in order to prevent the viewer from realizing that it has nothing more to offer apart from flying guts and abundant blood spilled, when the above has no some kind of reason or justification, it's just carnage without more. It is for all of the above that it deserves 1.5 stars out of 7, recommended only if you want to see things that turn your stomach and cause tremendous displeasure due to how graphic they are.
Brightburn es de ese tipo de películas que buscan tener una cantidad indigesta de escenas desagradables a fin de evitar que el espectador se dé cuenta de que no tiene nada más para ofrecer aparte de tripas volando y sangre derramada en abundancia, siendo que lo anterior no tiene alguna clase de razón o justificación, solo es una carnicería sin más. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1.5 estrellas de 7, recomendada solo si quieres ver cosas que te revuelvan el estómago y te causen un desagrado tremendo por lo gráficas que son.

I agree with you that the characters of the film were just "cannon fodder". The parents especially were quite forgettable. After almost 5 years of seeing the film, the only scene involving a parent that I can remember is the part that the mother met her demise. Still, I liked the film. I really loved seeing a dark version of superman.
The only reason to see the film is the amount of flying viscera consumed and the cruelty of its protagonist, expecting more of that is too much.
