Welcome my dear internet traveling neighbors and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, there are actors with a long career and many successes that have established them as no less than excellent, having had 5 Oscar nominations and having won 2 Tom Hanks is part of that select group of remarkable actors, which is why when I saw that he starred in a relatively recent movie called “A Man Called Otto” I couldn't resist. Without further ado, prepare to be in a bad mood, we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos vecinos viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, existen actores con una larga carrera y muchos éxitos que los han consolidado como no menos que excelentes, habiendo tenido 5 nominaciones al Oscar y habiendo ganado 2 Tom Hanks forma parte de ese selecto grupo de actores destacables, es por ello que cuando vi que protagonizo una película relativamente reciente llamada “A Man Called Otto” no pude resistirme. Sin más que agregar prepárense para estar de mal humor que estamos por comenzar.

It is a drama and comedy tape, it focuses on Otto Anderson, a very grumpy man and a faithful follower of the rules, all this is seen on the rise after the death of his wife, despite his rigidity he is a kind man who tries to help to everyone who can, this will be what leads him to help his new neighbors who will once again give color to his life with their different daily problems.
A Man Called Otto fue estrenada en 2022, está basada en la novela del 2012 "A Man Called Ove" escrita por Fredrik Backman, el filme fue dirigido por Marc Forster y producida por Playtone, cuenta con una duración de 2 horas y 6 minutos. Es una cinta de drama y comedia, se centra en Otto Anderson un hombre muy gruñón y un fiel seguidor de las reglas, todo esto se ve en aumento después del fallecimiento de su esposa, pese a su rigidez es un hombre amable que trata de ayudar a todo el que pueda, esto será lo que lo lleve a ayudar a sus nuevos vecinos los cuales volverán a darle color a su vida con sus diferentes problemas cotidianos.

La banda sonora es agradable, sigue el hilo sencillo y cotidiano que se mantiene a lo largo del filme por lo que se siente muy concordante con la narrativa la cual es acompañada de forma muy adecuada.
This is a section that is used in a very subtle and intelligent way, throughout the film there are objects in the background that mostly have a story and will be relevant to the plot in one way or another so that the setting feels important and in general something remarkable, I would say that the strongest point of this section is the fact that it is very subtle, which is why it has greater merit.
Este es un apartado que se utiliza de forma muy sutil e inteligente, a lo largo del filme existen objetos en segundo plano que en su mayoría poseen una historia y serán relevantes para la trama de una u otra forma por lo que la ambientación se siente importante y sea en general algo destacable, diría que el punto más fuerte de este apartado es el hecho de que es muy sutil por lo que tiene mayor mérito.

It manages a very well used narrative which demands some attention from the viewer since it tells moments from both the present and the past, the latter are introduced in a good way to explore specific themes, making the story in general feel very complete and maintaining the viewer's interest at all times, something that has merit for a film that lasts just over 2 hours and captures the daily life of the protagonist.
La trama es completamente absorbente puesto que a lo largo de la misma se van tocando temas muy interesantes como la depresión, la muerte, el seguir adelante e incluso el suicidio; todo esto lo hace de forma muy realista y de forma acorde para que el tema no se sienta excesivamente densa, a su vez, también agrega momentos de comedia simple que buscan generar de forma exitosa momentos jocosos y relajantes que encajan muy bien. Maneja una narrativa muy bien empleada la cual le exige algo de atención al espectador puesto que va contando momentos tanto del presente como del pasado, estos últimos son introducidos de buena forma para explorar temas en concreto haciendo que la historia en general se sienta muy completa y manteniendo el interés del espectador en todo momento, algo que tiene mérito para un filme de poco más de 2 horas de duración que plasma la vida cotidiana del protagonista.

Es muy fácil encariñarse con los personajes, si bien no les da un foco destacable a todos en su mayoría tienen una dosis justa de foco como para conocerlos un poco, a su vez, en su mayoría participan activamente de una u otra forma en la trama. Sin embargo, hay dos personajes que se roban el show, el primero es lógicamente el protagonista del cual se va conociendo paulatinamente su trasfondo para entenderlo como también de forma lenta se va denotando una mejor interacción con el resto de personajes, a su vez, esto hace que su catarsis sea más memorable; algo similar sucede con Marisol, si bien no se conoce su trasfondo posee una buena caracterización y cierto grado de tridimensionalidad al ir percatándose de todas las acciones inusuales del protagonista y reaccionando a estos, siendo el único personaje que se percata de ello y tiene una respuesta lógica, haciendo que el filme sea sienta plausible por las emociones de ella y del protagonista.
A Man Called Otto is a film that focuses on human feelings, loss and the feeling of emptiness not knowing what to do with life after a person leaves, all of this is well developed throughout the film by which explores the different elements that it exposes and manages to capture the viewer's attention until the end. That is why it deserves 4 stars out of 7, another very good film by Tom Hanks that I recommend if you want to think for a while about the different topics that he deals with.
A Man Called Otto es un filme que se enfoca en el sentir humano, la perdida y el sentimiento de vacío al no saber qué hacer con la vida después de que una persona se va, todo esto es bien desarrollado a lo largo de la cinta por lo que explora los diferentes elementos que expone y logra capturar hasta el final la atención del espectador. Es por ello que merece 4 estrellas de 7, otra película muy buena película de Tom Hanks que recomiendo si deseas pensar un rato sobre los diferentes temas que maneja.
