[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] Insidious | No one is immune to demons
Welcome my dear demon travelers of the internet and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, for those who do not know, I am a fan of horror films and I always try to see everything I can about this genre because it has many interesting variants , I recently found out about a saga called "Insidious" which I will be watching every movie it contains and reviewing them over the next few days. Without further ado, prepare to enter the afterlife because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros endemoniados del internet y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, para los que no lo sepan soy un fanático del cine de terror y siempre intento ver todo lo que pueda de este género debido a que tiene muchas variantes interesantes, hace poco me enteré de una saga llamada "Insidious" la cual iré viendo cada película que contiene y reseñándolas a lo largo de los próximos días. Sin más que agregar prepárense para adentrarse en el más allá pues estamos por comenzar.
The first film in the saga titled only Insidious was released in 2010, it was directed by James Wan and produced by Alliance Films, it has a duration of 1 hour and 42 minutes. It is a supernatural horror film, the story focuses on a couple who moves to a new house, overnight and inexplicably one of their children falls into a strange coma for which medicine has no explanation. In addition to the above, extremely strange and inexplicable things begin to happen in the house, putting in check the mental and family stability of all the people who are in that house.
La primera película de la saga titulada solamente como Insidious fue estrenada en 2010, fue dirigida por James Wan y producida por Alliance Films, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 42 minutos. Es una cinta de terror sobrenatural, la historia se centra en una pareja la cual se muda a una nueva casa, de la noche a la mañana e inexplicablemente uno de sus hijos cae en un extraño coma para el cual la medicina no tiene ninguna explicación, aunado a lo anterior empiezan a suceder cosas sumamente extrañas e inexplicables en la casa poniendo en jaque la estabilidad mental y familiar de todas las personas que se encuentran en esa casa.

The soundtrack is pleasant, it does exactly what you would expect for a suspense film, it does what it should.
La banda sonora resulta agradable, hace exactamente lo que te puedas esperar para un filme de suspenso, cumple con lo que debe.
The world-building seeks to reflect the normal lifestyle of an average person who is openly outraged by the unintelligible and the supernatural. Only by focusing on that could one say that the setting is fine; However, detailing this spiritual world is a small failure since despite being something important, it does not have much presence until very late in the film, which does not give it time to have a contextual presence. This is not exploited much because of what it does. that the world feels incomplete although it seems only to be the prelude to something more developed in future installments.
La construcción de mundo busca reflejar ese estilo de vida normal de una persona promedio el cual se encuentra ultrajado sin tapujos por lo inentendible y lo sobrenatural, solo enfocándose en eso se podría decir que la ambientación se encuentra bien; no obstante, el detallar ese mundo espiritual es una pequeña falla puesto que pese a ser algo importante no posee mucha presencia hasta ya muy avanzado el filme lo que no le da tiempo para que tenga presencia contextual, no se explota mucho esto por lo que hace que el mundo se sienta incompleto aunque parece solo ser el preludio de algo más desarrollado en próximas entregas.
The plot is broadly something to be expected, it has moments of shocks that are good although I am in favor of the fact that subtlety is one of the best allies of terror, despite everything it manages to have moments that make the viewer feel tense. Looking entirely at the narrative, it can be said that the film feels somewhat simple since facing demons and evil spirits has already been something quite exploited in the medium and during the film there is nothing that makes it stand out, being its best moment the open ending that logically indicates the continuity of events in a sequel.
La trama es a grandes rasgos algo bastante esperable, tiene momentos de sobresaltos que se encuentran bien aunque soy partidario de que la sutiliza es uno de los mejores aliados del terror, a pesar de todo logra tener momentos que hacen sentir tenso al espectador. Poniendo la mirada enteramente en la narrativa se puede decir que el filme se siente algo simplón puesto que el enfrentarse a demonios y espíritus malignos ha sido ya algo bastante explotado en el medio y durante la cinta no hay nada que le haga destacar, siendo su mejor momento el final abierto que lógicamente indica la continuidad de los acontecimientos en una secuela.
There is not much to highlight, they are people who do things and have to face problems in an unconventional way, I would like to say something more in this section but they really do not do much in this installment with their characters, they only release data when they are required, however they do not It manages to give them some characteristic apart from suffering that can be empathized with in some way.
No hay mucho que destacar, es gente que hace cosas y debe enfrentarse a problemas de forma no convencional, me gustaría decir algo más en este apartado pero realmente no hace mucho en esta entrega con sus personajes solo suelta datos cuando son requeridos, sin embargo no llega a darles alguna característica aparte del sufrimiento con la que se pueda empatizar de alguna forma.
Insidious clearly shows that its intention is to open the mouths of a saga by having many concepts that are half-treated in order to be able to give them a continuation in future installments. Viewed individually, you can only appreciate the fact that it is a conventional horror film with some cliché elements and somewhat tedious moments although they don't end up doing much harm. It is for all the above that it deserves 3 stars out of 7, as the beginning of the saga it is fine, it has some flaws but they are not completely devastating so it leaves the ground paved in a good way and leaves the viewer wanting to see what follows.
Insidious se ve con todas las de la ley que su intención es ser el abre bocas a una saga al tener muchos conceptos que son tratados a medias para poder darles una continuación en futuras entregas, vista individualmente solo se puede apreciar el hecho de que es una cinta de terror convencional con algunos elementos clichés y momentos algo tediosos aunque no terminan perjudicando tanto. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3 estrellas de 7, como inicio de la saga está bien, tiene algunos fallos pero no son completamente devastadores por lo que deja el terreno allanado de buena forma y deja al espectador con ganas de ver qué prosigue.

Saludos amigo, las películas de terror no van conmigo y muy poco las veo, ya que siempre para mí son lo mismo, lo que cambia es el nombre. De esa saga, recuerdo haber visto unas y son interesantes, así que tendrás unas cuantas películas para ver y pasar un gran rato. Esta primera de inicio a ese gran terror y siempre queda ese misterio por resolver y ver que sucederá en la siguiente. Genial que hayas comenzado.
Lamentablemente eso que comentas es algo que le pasa mucho al género y lo que hace tedioso verlo en ocasiones debido a que suelen reutilizar demasiados conceptos y demás; hoy vi la secuela y ya se va notando lo que temía pero no diré más para incitarte a que vayas a leer la reseña que le hice jajaja.
