Welcome my dear punk travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, I like dystopian futures so the cyberpunk genre is one of my favorites, in my search for something of that type I came across a series which I have read is hailed as one of the best of the genre, with such a bold description I couldn't go another minute without seeing "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" because I wanted to see its supposedly excellent world. Without further ado, get ready to put on mechanical parts because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros punks del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, me gustan los futuros distópicos por lo que el género cyberpunk es uno de mis favoritos, en mi búsqueda de algo de ese tipo me topé con una serie la cual he leído que es aclamada como una de las mejores del género, con dicha descripción tan osada no podía pasar un minuto más sin ver "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" debido a que tenía ganas de ver su mundo supuestamente excelente. Sin más que agregar prepárense para ponerse partes mecánicas pues estamos por comenzar.

The animation is completely amazing, it has an exaggerated amount of bright colors that fit very well with the concept of the anime, to which is added an excellent fluidity that is perfect for the various moments of action. All of this results in an exquisite animation that is very well done, with an excellent color palette, and, in general, is a pleasure to watch.
La animación es completamente alucinante, tiene una cantidad exagerada de colores vistosos que encajan muy bien con el concepto del anime, a lo anterior se le suma una excelente fluidez que le viene perfectamente para los diversos momentos de acción. Todo esto nos da como resultado una animación exquisita que se encuentra muy bien hecha, con una paleta de colores excelente, y, en general, da mucho gusto verla.
I quite like the soundtrack, it perfectly accompanies the different moments of the film, not only those of action, but also adapts to the various needs of the anime, which gives it a certain important character because it does its job.
La banda sonora me gusta bastante, esta acompaña perfectamente los diferentes momentos del filme, no solo aquellos de acción, sino, que se adapta a las diversas necesidades del anime, lo que le da cierto carácter importante debido a que cumple con su labor.
The world building is excellent, the settings they present are completely gloomy and depressing, at all times it presents a city immersed in misery and misfortune, all this is excellent for 2 reasons: The first is that this is exactly the setting that is expected when we talk about a dystopian future, the second is that it gives it a chaotic and congruent context with the different events of the plot. The social sphere is also well developed, this is due to the fact that it perfectly shows the dynamics of its society, and its functionality revolves around money and cybernetic modifications, this is due to the fact that both elements are central axes. of this world in crisis that swallows up those who do not possess any of these elements, in turn, knows how to excellently include the unique problems of this society that range from the possibility of dying when entering the network to the fact of going crazy. for using too many technological implants, both elements that contribute a lot to the setting and the plot.
La construcción de mundo es excelente, los escenarios que presentan son completamente lúgubres y deprimentes, en todo momento plantea una ciudad sumida en la miseria y la desgracia, todo esto es excelente por 2 razones: La primera radica en que esto es exactamente la ambientación que se espera cuando hablamos de un futuro distópico, la segunda es que le da un contexto caótico y congruente con los diferentes acontecimientos de la trama. El ámbito social también se encuentra bien desarrollado, lo anterior se debe a que muestra de forma perfecta la dinámica de su sociedad, siendo que su funcionalidad gira en torno del dinero y a las modificaciones cibernéticas, lo anterior se debe a que ambos elementos son ejes centrales de este mundo en crisis que se traga a aquellos que no posean alguno de dichos elementos, a su vez, sabe incluir de forma excelente los problemas únicos de esta sociedad que van desde la posibilidad de morir al introducir a la red hasta el hecho de enloquecer por usar demasiados implantes tecnológicos, siendo ambos elementos que aportan bastante a la ambientación y a la trama.
The plot is very solid and is simply excellent, throughout it there are very good moments of action full of dynamism and industrial quantities of blood, however, this is balanced perfectly with the fact of developing the story in a progressive, in turn, the series also knows how to exquisitely generate sad situations that make the anime even more pleasant. Narratively there is not much, there is no complex writing for the premise or anything that resembles it, however, it is not necessary, although it is a style over substance, it knows how to focus well on different situations or characters to provide a little more content. The length is perfect, 10 chapters may not seem like much but throughout these its world, its problems and so on are explained in a good way. In turn, the short duration benefits the anime due to its simple premise.
La trama es muy sólida y es sencillamente excelente, a lo largo de esta existen muy buenos momentos de acción cargados de dinamismo y cantidades industriales de sangre, no obstante, esto se encuentra balanceado de forma perfecta con el hecho de ir desarrollando la historia de forma progresiva, a su vez, la serie también sabe generar de forma exquisita situaciones tristes que hace aún más agradable al anime. Narrativamente no hay mucho, no existe una escritura compleja para la premisa ni nada que se le asemeje, sin embargo, no es necesario, si bien es un estilo sobre sustancia sabe enfocarse de buena forma en diferentes situaciones o personajes como para proporcionar algo más de contenido. La duración es perfecta, podrá parecer poco 10 capítulos pero a lo largo de estos se explica de buena forma su mundo, sus problemas y demás, a su vez, la corta duración beneficia al anime debido a su premisa simple.
In general terms the characters are very pleasant, without exception they all have a good characterization that allows us to sympathize with them, apart from that there is not much to highlight since none of them have any kind of depth or anything similar; Something that seemed right to me is the fact that many of these die and/or betray their comrades, it may seem that they are used as cannon fodder (It is partly true), however, this reinforces the message that in this world dystopian death can come to anyone. The relationship that the protagonist has with his girl is pleasant but not much more than that, it does not really have the best development in the world so it passes without pain or glory, the same thing happens with the protagonist who is fine in general terms but nothing beyond it. There is no established villain or antagonist as such, the series decides to opt for a world in which anyone can be against you if you make a mistake, again, it is a success due to what the series seeks to be.
A rasgos generales los personajes son muy agradables, sin excepción todos tienen una buena caracterización que permite simpatizar con ellos, fuera de ello no hay mucho que destacar ya que ninguno llega a tener ninguna clase de profundidad ni nada que se le asemeje; algo que me pareció un acierto es el hecho de que muchos de estos mueren y/o traicionan a sus camaradas, podrá parecer que son usados como carne de cañón (En parte es cierto) sin embargo, esto refuerza el mensaje de que en este mundo distópico la muerte puede llegarle a cualquiera. La relación que tiene el protagonista con su chica es agradable pero no mucho más fuera de ello, no tiene realmente el mejor desarrollo del mundo por lo que pasa sin pena ni gloria, lo mismo pasa con el protagonista que está bien en líneas generales pero nada más allá de ello. No hay como tal un villano o antagonista establecido, la serie decide optar por un mundo en el que cualquiera puede estar en contra de ti si cometes un paso en falso, nuevamente, es un acierto debido a lo que la serie busca ser.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is clearly a perfect representative of its genre, it knows how to build its world full of misfortunes, addicts and problems that give personality to its world, the latter being the best section it has, one could say that both its characters and Its narrative is somewhat poor but it never really aspires to develop any of those sections directly so it is not something that weighs too much. It is for all the above that it deserves 4.5 stars out of 7, if you like futuristic violence this is without a doubt a series that you should see almost obligatory.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners es a todas luces un representante perfecto de su género, sabe construir su mundo plagado de desgracias, adictos y problemas que le dan personalidad a su mundo, siendo este último el mejor apartado que tiene, se podría decir que tanto sus personajes como su narrativa son algo pobres pero realmente nunca se aspira a desarrollar ninguno de esos apartados de forma directa por lo que no es algo que pese demasiado. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4.5 estrellas de 7, si te gusta la violencia futurista esta es sin lugar a dudas una serie que debes ver casi de forma obligatoria.

Me recuerda el mundo que se nos presentaba en una de mis sagas favoritas en juegos que era la llamada: Deux Ex. Un mundo decadente entre los aumentados y la gente común o los puros.
El juego al que se refiere la historia está entre mis pendientes, si todo mejora el próximo año.
No soy mucho de videojuegos pero suena interesante, espero que puedas jugarlo pronto y que lo disfrutes.
